Great hotel! Great service, very clean, and great views.

Some minor issues:
1. There were some (small) problems with my room. I told reception a few times, they said they'd fix it, but never did.
2. The taps in the sink are hard to turn, trying to be fancy instead of convenient.

The Standard, High Line is our GO-TO place where my husband and I love to stay when we are in NYC. Although the service is always great and the rooms beautifully designed, last night they out did themselves! I came to check-in (with no reservation) at 11:30 pm, after locking myself out of my place. As a damsel in distress, JADE came to my rescue! Not only was she warm, kind and sympathetic, but she gave me the only room left, which was a suite at an exceptional price, even when she knew I had little choice. I was so grateful to her that she did not take advantage of my situation. She and the Standard have earned my loyalty and we simply, won't stay anywhere else from here on out! I highly recommend!! Also, Ideal location, perfect for walking the High Line and shopping in the Meatpacking. And the dining at The Standard and within The Meatpacking is the best in town. Stay here and have fun!!

I went to The Standard many times. The hotel is very modern and the rooms all have a fantastic view of the Hudson River. The hotel is located in Meatpack district which is a very fashionable New York district. In the hotel there are 4 bars, two rooftop and two bars at street level. All are fixed in quality and experience. In general if you want to be at the center of the move with celerities The Standard will be taken perfect hotel.

Very accomodating - we were given 5 star treatment after a pretty a gruesome night - we could not have been treated more like royalty! Thank you so much for saving our evening and turning it into a great night Tommy and Zach!

Incredibly pretentious. Stayed here for two nights and, though the rooms are great, the service is frankly rude. I felt like an inconvenience more than a guest.

The roof bar is a particular low point. No cameras allowed, no hats allowed, no fun allowed, the staff had no manners whatsoever.

There is so much better to be had in NYC. Don t waste your money unless you re craving style over substance.

Love the convince of the standard highline, however on the second night of my stay the cards reader on my room died and had to be replaced. The next morning my key card did not work, the front desk swapped out my key card and I left for the day. When I returned my key card still did not work, they swapped it out again and still doesn't work. Still waiting to get back into my room.

I loved The Standard when I last stayed there, shortly after it had opened. And while I've eaten and drunk at its restaurants since, I only recently returned as a hotel guest. I was pretty disappointed if I'm honest. The bedrooms haven't aged well, and are in need of a remodel. Paintwork is looking pretty poor, peeling in places. Soft furnishings could do with a refresh. The overall design and aesthetic of the rooms is still great - they're not huge but they are carefully and stylishly designed. They just need a bit of TLC. That said, the bed is insanely comfortable.

Hotel also messed up my check-out and bill, which I'm still struggling to get fixed. So overall, probably won't rush back.

Wonderful rooms with views of the Empire State Building. Well stocked mini bar and snacks. Super comfortable bed and bedding. Room service is fast and delicious at all hours of the day and night. I absolutely would stay again.

A girls in town must do thing! At the end of a long walk at the High line one deserves a stunning view to Hudson river and relax with the perfect cucumber gin cocktail! Its a pit tricky to find it but be persistent, only opened in summer/spring and early autumn months, from 16:00 onwards... Can be super chilly and cold, but a must do thing!

Nice bars at the top of the hotel with great music and attentive bartenders.. lobby entrance seems vast and deserted set way back on 10th/11th Avenue south of 14th st in Meatpacking. Restaurant at the bottom has decent food and ambiance but not as fun as the top floors. Trendy hotel fun for probably one night in downtown west nyc.

Lots of construction happening right now but the hotel is OK. I expected to have an enclosed shower / bathroom situation for the price I was paying but my shower was right next to the sink which inevitably led to me getting wet every time I used the bathroom after I had showered. Not the end of the world of course but I feel as if there is a better way of designing that bathroom.

Good.

I stayed on the 9th floor despite having booked a room between floors 11-17 since the staff persistently urged me to stay at a floor no higher than 11 due to the loud noise of the rooftop club. This suggestion combined with the fact that they changed the floor of my room reservation twice (to much lower floors) before finally putting me on the 9th seemed suspect. I'm not a very light sleeper and probably would have been fine with my original reservation. The room overall was nice, but the way the bathroom space was arranged allowed the shower to flood the entire bathroom covered in slippery black tile. With only one slow drain, it made the sink inconvenient to access unless you had just come out of the shower and we're fine with getting your feet soaked.

Has gone downhill some - the room though small is functional. The TV hangs or reboots at times, and for a contemporary location should include better device-to-TV streaming capabilities. The value for the price isn't terrific overall. Try the bar upstairs, it's decent though also pricey.

Just so-so on many levels... On par with the local Holiday Inn! And, these losers can't even negotiate a deal with the night club on premises to get the hotel guests in priority or front of the line.

The perfect spot to take out-of-town visitors! It can get crowded during popular times, but the views, landscaping and art are definitely worth it! The location right on the water shows off NYC in the best light. Also lots of great bars and shops and art galleries nearby. Definitely recommend as a weekend daytime activity!

Went to the Biergarten, the drinks are good. Fits in well in the neighborhood, it has your typical West Village crowd. I like the bar games, particularly the curling. Easier than shuffleboard but still has good entertainment factor.

Disappointed. The roof bar is off limits to patrons. Poor communication and coordination between coordinator of roof top function and guest services. Last straw ordered a burger in the living room Confirmed it came with fries.Burger came, great burger no fries. Another wait staff informed me that same $17 burger came with fries if ordering outside on patio. Mind you patio is through a glass door and service on patio is closed!!!! REALLY!!!!!

Stayed two nights for work in April 2016

Pros:
Friendly staff
Great views
Clean rooms
Comfy bed
Good location

Cons:
Some Street and corridor noise
Noise from the attached club can also seep through on weekends (earplugs are provided)
While all pleasant and clean you will be sharing lifts with club and bar attendees heading to and from the top floor, some of whom can be a bit worse for wear and/or boisterous so perhaps not ideal for families if that's a concern.
Some fixtures and fittings starting to wear out in my room (a deluxe Queen)

I went here for brunch on a weekend, during the early afternoon. Overall, an incredibly pleasent experience with delicious food and wonderful drinks. I at the "BLT," which is certainly not a traditional one. The bacon is lamb; incredibly tender and flavorful but not too fatty (and would dispute should be called bacon). Lettuce a fresh spring mix. Tomato; a tangy and spicy tomato spread. All this with a runny egg and a perfectly crisp baguette in that rare range of perfectly holding together a sandwich and not so hard as to be uncomfortable. With all this, I got a beautiful cocktail made with beet extract that glowed and went down like juice. The location itself is beautiful and contains pleanty of seating. I would have spent hours lounging around on a different day. A hotel restaurant but certainly stands strong on it's own.

Its good. Rooms are really small. But guess thats new york. They dont have a pool or jacuzzi and no access ti lounge after 10 even when we pay so much per night. Hence one star less. But rooms have fabulous views. Mine had a view if statue of liberty at a distance. And high line passes right under the hotel.

The hotel location is unbeatable, right on the highline. The rooms are small but clean. The beds are on the ground but comfy. The bathrooms are a pain. Getting in and out of the shower is very dangerous. If you are not very tall it will be tricky. If you are pregnant, like me, stay elsewhere. My husband had to help me in and out. I feel like it was a death trap. The food is really bad. I ordered pancakes for room service and my husband got scrambled eggs and we were both convinced they were taken out of a buffet chaffing dish and served on our plates. Not fresh. However, the service is good, location is great and it is clean. 4 stars.

This hotel has a ton of amenities. There was an ice skating rink right out front and outside they had a bunch of heat lamps for you to just hang out and chill. Great atmosphere and cool vibe.

I would never go back to this establishment their staff is disgusting and should be ashamed to even be in the hospitality business. They should really be screening their employees better. Don't go here
