Recently stayed at the Standard High Line. Initial impression was ok. Hotel is mid level, definitely not luxurious, but more hip. Paid extra for a high level room with a view but turned out the top floor isn't always the best. Too close to the rooftop club so noisy until 4am. Plus could hear the elevators moving throughout the night and lost sleep. Wouldn't mind a lower level room away from the elevator banks for half the price. Location is good so wouldn't mind staying again if opportunity arises

Excellent drinks and an amazing view. Was double charged for one of my cocktails however and didn't realize until the next day when my friends and I were splitting up costs. I had ordered and paid for my drink before joining my friends and their server added my drink to the tab for some reason.

WARNING****WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES****HORRIBLE SERVICE ***** UNCONTROLLED ROOM TEMPERATURES **** PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE MADE!****HORRIBLE SERVICE is the theme at this establishment. I highly suggest seeking accommodations elsewhere due to LOW STANDARDS at The Standard.

We returned from our event to find all room blinds open and the single window opened, which did not help to lower the temp in the room unless the door to your room is left wide open. I went back downstairs & spoke with a man at the front desk (3rd trip for requested assistance) & he informed me that it was my fault that the room had gotten so hot b/c I had left the blinds open all day. Keep in mind that we had checked in just late that afternoon. He also informed me that they do not give out fans to guests & I was left with no assistance whatsoever.
We could hardly sleep in our $700 a night room that was in the low 80's, so we did not get any sleep over the two nights of our stay & the room did not actually cool off to a comfortable temp until 6am of Sunday morning, when we had to leave. However, we both slept the entire air flight home, since we had been unable to sleep while staying at The (LOW) STANDARD.
I did speak w/a manager finally after many attempts and he expressed his apologies for the horrible experience & offered a 25% discount off of our stay and a refund for the horrible service received at The Living Room (we saw our server 1 time over 62 minutes). MY SUGGESTION, seek better accommodations at lower prices (I found 7 better priced places w/more room within 6 blocks) elsewhere. This place should be called THE LOW STANDARD, since it is NOT WORTH LOSING SLEEP OVER. If you like to sleep and value your recuperation time during your stay in New York, you will absolutely need to find an alternative place to stay. THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL STAY OF OUR LIVES. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE DID.

Food was good, service wasnt. Got our drinks, ordered a double shot vodka and ended up getting 2 drinks instead of a double shot and then forgot about the second order of food. Manager did correct it and was apologetic. For the price service and quality was not there, maybe they had an off night.

The hotel needs updating in its rooms, lobby and elevator waiting areas. A small improvement example..Rooms doors with foam gaskets around the frame. Ours has a big gap that allows hallway noises to get in. Every door slams metal on metal. But, the windows do keep street noises out well.
The bed in our room is collapsed and is very uncomfortable.
Like its sister in Miami, the simple design is unique and classic Standard. Just make it more comfortable and quiet.

Sitting in the private dining room of the Standard now and super disappointed. Had my sister's bridal shower here in 2010 and the service was impeccable. Today, 2019, the service sucks. Each server forget drinks, didn't allocate food well, provide utensils, or check in on guests. Would not recommend for service. Food is still good.

Very special hotel in the "Meatpacking District". Modern and trendy, it is meticulously detailed. Welcoming rooms, all with "sky-to-earth" windows giving spectacular views of the Hudson River or the city.
A really good experience. Expensive, but you expect it from an ergo of this type.

Nice view of the Hudson. Rooms are smallish, and not really all that fancy for the price. Higher floor count doesn't mean quieter. I got a room right beneath the club on the roof, so it was four on the floor all night. No bueno.

A place with incredible views! Do not leave without visiting the restroom, a nice place with a drink and drinks menu for all budgets, no charge. The wardrobe is free. A nice place to spend an evening ....

I booked with the standard for my boyfriend's birthday. 1st thing I told them was that I wanted a tub in my room, and the 2nd thing I mentioned was that we were coming down there for a celebration. Every time I talked to someone from there, they were very nice and professional. When we arrived they left a gift for my boyfriend, and my request for the tub was a success. We also had a BEAUTIFUL view of the freedom tower. Everything was clean, and very neat. I can't wait to book there again for the wintertime!!

rooms are tiny. Think barely enough space to walk around the bed. no place to really store any of your stuff. people can literally see directly into your room. The service there is horrible. rude staff and just a miserable overall experience.

The Living Room at the standard is a small restaurant on the left upon entrance into the lobby. The Living room's red seating and tables, unique lighting, suspended plants and glass wall give this place a funky vibe. I did note the wood floors and friendly staff. Overall I enjoyed myself and company here but it isn't memorable enough for me to return.

The most ridiculous place I have ever been in my life! Awful, fake and pretentious! We were refused a drink after one of your guests was horrifically rude to us! Totally rude place with ideas above it's station !

Quite small rooms, which is typical of NY. The hotel is expensive, breakfast separately will cost 20-40 dollars per person, which is also typical. The breakfast itself is average in quality. Rooms with good views, the design resembles a hospital. In general, the second time to stop not pulling. On the 18th floor there is a mini pool with massage, I do not advise going there - a dirty pool because in the club. Total hotel causes mixed feelings, but the view of dawn in the morning pleases

Great location - the Meat Packing district is super interesting.
The elevator ride is unique. The gym is full of cardio equipment. The rooms have great floor to ceiling windows. The shower is well appointed.
There is no privacy in the shower for the rest of the room - which may bother some. The curtains don't provide full black out. It's noisy! Not only can you hear the club from upstairs, but you can hear traffic noise. They supply you with ear plugs - which is good.
Not sure it's worth the per night price tag.

This place do bulling for guest and employees out of their beauty standard. This place sucks. Shame of you!!! Don't go. The executive chef is like a nazi about the appearance of the staff and is rude with staff and guests. Can't believe this kind of places exists!

Consistently overcharged me on my credit card. I had contacted them while staying there and they gave me a partial refund on the first few errors, but the overcharging still continued. Emailed them multiple times but they do not even bother to reply!!! Appalling!!! Completely ruined my holiday!

Crawling with high-fashion people, but the bouncers did let me get to my room despite my jeans and t-shirt... fun for people watching. Walk up to the "High Line" park which goes through the hotel, if you want to retreat from the hubbub on the street level and watch the sunset.
