The Sheraton Park Central Hotel Reviews

I've been a platinum member at Marriott for over a decade. I have never had a bad experience at any Marriott. But this hotel stands out. I've used points to make reservation at other Marriott Hotels in past and cancelled if I cannot make it due to unavoidable circumstances. The great thing about being Marriott Platinum Member is that you can cancel anytime before check in and you get your points back. Its that simple. I've done this many times in many Marriotts around the globe. Nobody has ever charged me a fee.

However this hotel management seems to be greedy and ready to rip off customers and get some free money without authorization. They charged me 141$ WIITHOUT my authorization. There was no notification either prior to my cancellation or later on they will charge 141$.
I called their rewards help line and was told this is generally upto hotel management discretion and most cases manager waive this charge for platinum members. So that made sense on why we had this benefit with other hotels. Ive never seen a platinum member ripped off like this and this is not Marriott. But this hotel is different, abusing my credit card access they had and brining a bad name to Marriott brand.

Quiet and clean. I always stay at this location when I come to Dallas.

Truck was broken into,window smashed out, items stolen. No outside cameras or security at a business in Dallas, close to downtown in 2019 is outdated. Other than that did not seem like such a bad place.

Might I add the rooms were very clean and beautiful. And last but not least the food was delicious!!

This place is pretty good. We had to pay $7 per day to park our car in the parking lot. There were repairs made that aren't the greatest fixes. Overall it's not too bad.

Okay visit. Room kind of smelled like bug spray or something. But we got there late, so didn't spend much time there. Our TV didn't have a signal in our bedroom. But a decent nights sleep

Before you stay, be aware of scam and points issues! When you going to log in to internet, it say if you are Platinum member, hight speed internet is free. SCAM... if you got the reservation from third party you won't. They will charge you.
Also, if you reserve from 3rd party, yo will get 0 points. Nada.
I stay there for 2 weeks, when home for one and came back 2 weeks...0 points. I need to stay for 2 weeks every other week until November. I will make sure I find a different hotel. Also, I will make sure that all my co-workers avoid the SCAM. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Staff was great, facility is recently renovated. Free breakfast every day was better than average. I'd highly recommend this location if you're staying in the area.

Well run facility with amazing staff and amenities. Definitley one of the best Marriott's I've stayed at. Seems like it was recently renovated. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

The hotel is clean and nice. It is convenient to local restaurants and shopping. Pricing was great as well.

Absolutely no communication with this place. Was charged an extra $150 for a 1 pound dog. Wasn t told about this. The dog stay was more than the humans!

It was so nice and clean. The whole place smelled amazing and they gave us a goodie bag when we checked in.

Stayed here for a couple months. Staff was always very friendly. Grounds kept up, noise was not an issue. Appreciate the dinner and drinks mon-wed. Good price. Would recommend.

Nice place to stay for a family getaway. We personally liked their huge room. Staff are all accommodating and friendly.

Friendly staff, wonderful room, unexpected amenities! Surprisingly, for a place right on a spaghetti bowl of highways, the room is quiet, dark, and perfect for recuperating after a busy day of travel and meetings. My stay has been enjoyable - and as someone who needs quiet seclusion often, I've been very comfortable and relaxed in otherwise strange surroundings. I enjoy getting back here after a long day. If I ever have extended stay travel in the future, Residence Inn will be my first choice.

Decent place. Nothing to write home about but nothing that sticks out as bad either.

The first night here a tornado came through, it did not touch down here but left alot of wind damage. Power was out for almost 24 hours and they did not provide any discounts or offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience. Had to take a cold shower because I'm guessing their water is electric. Plus no room service for that day. I would not suggest or recommend any of my friends or family stay here.

Best experience I've ever had at a hotel it's like having your own apartment the water pressure is great in the shower I didn't get to use kitchen unfortunately but it was a good option to have they have dishes for you to cook if you wanted to in the staffing is awesome also the breakfast was good as well

The property and breakfast great. Be aware this property charged a $100 incidental fee that was not mentioned on the reservation.

This was a really nice place and the Staff was extremely nice and courteous.

The staff is excellent the rooms are immaculate comfortable beds nice pillows spacious and three nights a week dinner is provided along with a wonderful breakfast buffet why stay anywhere else if you're in the Northeast Dallas area

Quiet even though next to the freeway. Clean, nice breakfast and pool. A little challenging to get there on the frontage road until you learn the streets.

Filthy carpet, bugs were crawling on bathroom floor.....and I came home after a one night stay there with 8-10 bed bug bites or maybe spider bites. Just awful. Avoid room #142 at all costs. The upstairs of this building is closed off with yellow tape....so guessing I was in the older building as it seems to need repairs and my room was dirty after spending some time in the room and realizing how nasty it was.

Avoid at all costs.

One star because I had to give one. I did not stay at this location so my review isn't about my overall stay. However I did indeed make a reservation online in hopes of getting to check in a bit earlier. I called the front desk and the biggest douchebag of a supervisor answered, Ellis. He stated check in before 3pm would not be possible for me so I understood and requested for a cancellation. Since I booked online with Priceline I had to call them but once I was on the phone with them, they had to call the front desk to confirm. His response was not what I hoped for. I was typically going to be charged for the room because they denied my cancellation. How is it okay to take people's money like that? Ellis was a very rude and his tone was the worst type of customer service I've experienced. I was afraid my card on file was going to be charged for sure especially after the phone call. Several attempts were made but luckily my bank made sure these greedy kind of businesses wouldn't get a dime from me. Never taking a second look at this location!!!

The staff treated us like family and assisted us to ensure our stay was pleasant!

Great for out of town visits and they keep everything clean and maintained.

March 11th 2017 while traveling with my family (4 kids under age 8) we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn Dallas Park Central. The check in / lobby and breakfast area the only things acceptable at this hotel. From the moment we entered the room it was obvious something was wrong as the smell of cleaning product was overwhelming. It was late at night so we opened the windows and started getting ready for bed. In the kitchen area the floor was was coated with a grease-like substance that was almost slippery. Handles to the microwave, oven, and cabinets still had visible greasy fingerprints. The carpeted area felt unusually spongy and had a tacky / slightly sticky feel. In one of the bathrooms I looked up at the ceiling to see a an area about 2 feet in diameter with mold showing through an area of previous water damage that had been painted over. Throughout the night we listened to someone stomping around above us, it literally sounded like someone walking back and forth with heavy boots on. I travel for work often and bring my family with occasionally. From now on, I will be booking 2 rooms at a respectable hotel rather than try and stay in one room at any Residence Inn.

Clean and competent. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. The staff are good but the place is a little dated.

The staff is cool (they gave no problems) breakfast was great but people can be people coughing no covering there mouth and talking over the food jus rude (your not at home). The cable didn't work in my room 325 so they wanted me to change rooms. I'm the type that cleans up meaning wipe down door knobs and light switches I'm not cleaning top to bottom. But I do the bathroom even have my own shower curtain. Yup I cleaned up before I even turned on the TV. That's my choice cause I know for a fact the ladies and gentlemen that clean don't do good job at times. Room 321 has a runny toilet and and loose toilet seat and the bathroom door and room door doesn't close properly. And I wouldn't suggest to opening the windows no screen in the one. And it smelled like paint which was in the halls of the 3rd floor. But staff was great and was told about the room issues hope the right people handle it. They only gave me 1200 points for TV issue and changed my room but a free day or two would've been better

They are updating everything. The lobby is very nice and the breakfast is MUCH better than it used to be. It has been about a year since we stayed last (and that was a three month stretch) the staff STILL recognized us. It was so sweet. The rooms color schemes are much more modern and we enjoyed our stay.

Service was great .We got there at 2 in the morning and Keisha was the sweetest and super helpful.Would highly recommend and stay again.

Room was large, hotel was quiet, dinner/breakfast served for free, including drinks at dinner. Wonderful hotel all around.

One of the worst hotels I've ever been to. While they may have updated the lobby 10 years ago the rooms are disgusting! We had 2 rooms: a 1bedroom and a 2 bedroom. Both had disgusting, old carpet with rips and stains throughout. The one room smelled like fish or pee or both. And the shower drain back up and you find yourself ankle deep in purged body hair from the last 100,000 guests! And to top it off they boldly warn you to make sure the windows are locked, dead bolt fastened, and latch secured. I can only imagine why! We've travelled a lot with our 4 kids and ALWAYS stay at Marriott's. Never have we been so disappointed, disgusted, and scared. This should not be a Marriott property!

I travel for work weekly. Nice staff, but run down facility

Reasonable accommodations for the price (1 bedroom suite), but definitely not worth more than the price we paid. Due to the bedding situation (see below) and the much higher cost and low availability of a 2 bedroom, unlikely we'll return.
Biggest thing going for the place, is the staff. They were great. Very friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
I strongly note, 1 bedroom rooms are NOT for more than 2 people. The pull out bed is only a Full and incredibly uncomfortable (I woke up with bruises). It might work for an extra child that doesn't mind sleeping anywhere, but I'd still suggest the couch itself over the pull out.
Parking is NOT FREE, it is about $7 a day and was not mentioned at check-in. While it didn't diminish the value of the stay, it doesn't help either.
Breakfast was good, variety of hot and cold items, and they have some gluten free bagels which the celiac in the family was happy to have. They also have appetizers and drinks some evenings.
The overall hotel needs some significant repair and cleaning. Cleanliness was marginal. Our room had quite a number of stains and in serious need of a deep cleaning. The tub looks like it's taken a serious beating with lots stains and poorly done chip patches (that were a little different color), causing my somewhat OCD child to complain that it was dirty.

My place away from home when I need to go to Dallas. Staff is wonderful, especially the gal at the counter! Clean rooms and close the the hospital.

Great room. W good shower pressure. Breakfast was standard fair. Good location. You can get to a bunch of places using local instead of highway here

Relatively updated hotel. Amenities are ok and staff is very friendly. It's nice having access to my Netflix, Hulu, and HBO accounts on the bedroom TV.

Large hotel with tons of rooms. Pet friendly. Excellent coverage of breakfast and hors d oeuvres

They thought of everything. Measuring spoons, pots, wine opener. It was nice and updated and clean. The only con was the thin covers.

I used to love staying here but lately we haven't had greatest experience with front desk staff. Their communication need improvement and a touch of kindness!! A few of the front desk staff members are rude and not very welcoming. Before my most recent stay, I called to ask a question and whoever answered the phone was very short and seemed bothered that I was even calling.I almost cancelled. Front desk staff, if you dont like people stay at home! I did notice the only individual who was very kind...thanks Keicha. Other than that food is always great (Just work on the juice machine please) and rooms are always clean every time we go.

"Free high speed internet"... which apparently means high latency (500m/s+) and massive packet loss (10% on average). Its nearly unusable. So much for getting work done from the hotel.
