Excellent resort. Easy check-in, room impeccably clean, huge bathroom, and nice amenities all around. I had requested a quiet room and it was. We lounged by the pool the first day and had great service for drinks and eats. It was also really close to other dining options so that was a plus. I d definitely stay here again!

Nice accommodations with lots of activities. Their poolside menu was AWESOME but has taken a step back. Service and food were good, but the place is confusing as hell to navigate unless you stay in a room thats located on the perimeter

The resort was nice restaurant had good food and good service. My only complaint is I wished I knew there was a Groupon for my stay because it would have saved me and my Family a lot of money

I would like to add when my husband and I reached out to the front desk and Management we feel like worse and felt like they didn't even care about our concerns.

Friggn EXCELLENT...

Enjoyed my stay here. Located off Scottsdale rd, in Scottsdale. The resort featured Adobe style building, with plenty of parking all the way around this HUGE campus. The staff was extremely friendly, the grounds well maintained, there is tennis courts, a putting green and a day spa as well as various pool available. Off season in June is where you want to be, if you dont like crowds. Had the whole pool and the gym nearly to ourselves. Peace and quite with no unruly kids running around, possibly around the grounds, breaking stuff, getting in the way or tossing garbage all over the site, as well as soccer moms yelling at the kids at all hours of the day and night, with screaming baby echoing well into the night. No kids around to piss in the pool either. There's a Motel 6 for that. Yeah, it was hotter than I think Satin himself could stand, but we loved it. All amenities are there. Just outside the resort, there's a huge mall, old town and the art district. Drive 5 miles east and there the essential..Target, Albertsons...etc.
Going to make this my yearly migration. Thanks Scottsdale resort for the best time.

I love The Scottsdale Plaza Resort. I stayed there over the Labor Day weekend 2020 and very much enjoyed it. The room was clean and spacious with all the amenities I could have wanted, including a fireplace which I didn't use because it was summer. There was a private patio and a private balcony. The pool water was somehow very cool and refreshing even though the weather was hot night and day. The staff is very, very helpful and polite. I highly recommend the property and will stay there any chance I get.

Exceptional staff at this resort. Aaron at the front desk was very helpful. Although the resort had a convention going on, it did not feel crowded and always room to swim. Nice bar and restaurant on premise. Great location in Scottsdale. Although slightly older, well kept grounds.

Fantastic resort. The staff was amazing and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. As I left the resort and showed up to the airport I realized I had left my wedding ring by the sink in the bathroom of my room. I called back and within 15 minutes the team of Alex, Joe, and Ruben had located the ring, called me back, and arranged shipping back to my house. After 20 years of heavy travel I can say it was truly remarkable how much care and concern they had for my own silly mistake. I will be back and highly recommend this resort for business or leisure travel.

Nice resort feel to this hotel. I like the fact it is broken up into many sectors, suites with patios and green grass. The grounds (landscaping) are very well maintained, there is a casual restaurant, the night I dined in there they had a live band so it was really loud and not the least bit enjoyable, just my opinion.
Check in was a bit challenging, I had a suite and a few issues with the room while I was there (one of a few reasons for my two stars).
The staff are professional minus the stray one or two, parking was plentiful. Location is great, shopping and dining very close.

For what I paid it was not what I would have expected.

A group of friends and I went up for a staycation. This is our second time staying at the plaza. The staff is friendly (thanks again Steven) and the service is the best! The main pool is perfectly cooled for the hot temperature making it refreshing! Nice outside pool bar with slushy drinks. JDs had a good burger! Rooms are nice, get one with a fire place (too hot now though) and patio. See y'all next year!

I do not understand how this hotel has an overall rating of 4.5 stars. This is a motel! An old, dated and smelly motel in a great location.
When my room smells modly and like old, dirty carpet, nothing else matters. There is nothing upscale about this place. They give you one tiny soap for your stay. The hair dryer is so cheap, it over heats and stops constantly. No slippers so you walk on the nasty carpet bare foot or your wear shoes all the time.
No comforter on the bed, only a thin blanket. Old pillows that smell.

Pretty nice hotel resort, with an excellent venue for hosting events. I just wish buildings weren't so far away from each other. I spent so much time walking across parking lots during my stay here.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. 8 of us Sorority sisters spent the night the shuttle taking us to our room upon check in, picking us up to go to dinner at bar & grill on premise & taking us back to rooms. Food staff fantastic. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Horrible, horrible experience, we booked this hotel and when we arrived there were bugs all over the room, in the bed, the tub and we reported this to the front desk, they offered to upgrade us to a suite and when we arrived there more and more bugs,, we did not feel comfortable staying there and went home and did not even stay at the hotel for even 10 minutes! the manager refused a refund and was very rude, this was a horrible experience and this is not even a resort, its more like a cheap condo project....do not stay here, the front desk clerk sarah even told us there would be no problem getting our money back and rick the manager was so rude and would not even listen...DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Review is for a 3 night stay in a villa suite for working vacation. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The proximity to mountain hiking to city hotspots/dining was great. Peaceful environment to work and relax. Overall I give this experience a 5 out of 5.

Now, improvements could be made to keep this rating in the future. The desk in the suite needs to be bigger with more enhanced power. The desk seemed to have a pull out, like for a keyboard, but it was totally seized shut. Then, I get that sheets used by lots of people need extra cleaning, but these sheets were like paper and loud. Moving the sheets, my wife and I were afraid we would wake up one another.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a professional event. Beautiful room, very spacious. Grounds are very well kept and the staff is excellent. We enjoyed complimentary shuttle service to local restaurants and shopping. Wifi service in the room was very good, so I was able to get some work done as well.

I got a summer deal on the room which consisted of a great room and a $100 credit to use in the spa and/or restaurants. Front desk was friendly and efficient with check in and out. Pool was clean and service was quick, even towards their closing time. The room was clean, shower had good pressure, it had all the amenities I needed. I also loved wearing my robe to the pool! The restaurant/bar had a blues/jazz band playing while football was on the tvs, great combo! My martini and prime rib were both delicious! I got my nails painted at the spa for a small fee, my nail technician was very nice! The business center allows you to print up to 10 pages free which was a lifesaver for my homework. All around I enjoyed my time at this resort and the staff were all on point! Thanks for a nice staycation!

We just checked out this morning

We just checked out this morning
7-6-15. We stayed over 4th of July weekend. We live in Arizona and we wanted a weekend getaway in a resort. We have four children and I'm pregnant so it's sometimes hard to find a resort with rooms big enough to accommodate a big family. We stay in their bi level 2 queen bed room. It was off the pool which we loved and it was just the right size. We figured we'd give the kids the upstairs and we would sleep on the sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper was so old and uncomfortable, being pregnant there was so way I'd be able to sleep. You could feel every spring. So we ended up having two kids sleep there.
The staff was great. Very hospitable. The front desk staff was helpful and kind. There was a kind gentleman, Bob who greeted me, showed me how to get to our room, even opened the car door.
We did their summer promotion which was great I thought I would get a prenatal massage. We saw they had some restaurants so we were excited to try their fine dinning restaurants. Unfortunately both the spa and Remington were closed.
So our first day their we decided to have lunch at JD's. It was completely empty. The food wasn't as great as we expected it to be. The pizza we ordered the kids looked to have been frozen. I'd give JD's 1 star.
We did order room service for breakfast on Sunday morning. It was better than expected. I'd give it 2 stars.
There is so much potential at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort. The "bones" are there. The staff is great.
Upon first arriving we were wondering why it was so empty.
By the end of our vacation we understood why it was empty.
Also, it was a little confusing as to why we would get charged a resort fee when none of the resort amenities were useable.
I hope some things get fixed up. And things get spruced up. Bc I'd like to stay here again. But not at the price they charge.
The best thing they have is great staff! It made my day.

A very high end resort lots of facilities like multi swimming pools, tennis courts, fitnedd center and even a putting green. Rooms are spacious my only complain the pillows are too soft for my liking. We spent late afternoons happy hours outside the poolside relaxing. Absolutely love the place.

The Scottsdale Plaza was very fun. Family friendly, lots of pools, delicious food. Also the location is great. You are extremely close to everything. The only thing I'd change is they should have 21+ pools separate from the other pools. We saw a few people getting pretty drunk and with kids around its just not a good combination. We definitely had fun and I'm sure we will be back

Excellent place to stay. Great service and very friendly staff. I stay here all the time and am always very well taken care of. The rooms are outstanding and I love the property. It is also just far enough away from all the mess of old town Scottsdale to where it feels secluded and you are still minutes away from everything. Highly recommend.

TERRIBLE! the customer service is awful ! quoted price was $229.00 per night , but wait for all the hidden charges adds up to $358.65! Make sure you ask about the hidden charges! A 2 night stay cost $717.30! Ridiculous!

come here for a work conference and my room has no wifi. can't do anyway work from my room. IT has zero explanation on why the wifi is down. I call the hotel and they offered to down grade my room to a room that may or may-not have a working wifi. so that means repack all my stuff and unpack it again to a smaller room! GET REAL

this resort is expensive and I expect the wifi to work. I shouldn't be downgraded to a lessor room to get it. I should be given an upgrade or something to make up for this.

Very nice hotel resort. I was pleasantly surprised by the price. There was a summer package that gives you a $100 food and beverage credit to their restaurant. Pretty amazing deal. We stayed for our anniversary so we upgraded to a larger 2 story suite. It was a very large and beautiful room. Very clean and updated. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it was being renovated and I think that affected the restaurant because our dining experience wasn't that great. Would love to stay again when renovation is complete.
