Just like a review a month ago! Brought family for spring break and medical conference. Upon checking in, were informed that our room, two story suite, was given away and put in smaller room. Kids had no beds, so had to use couch and literally, a hammock, of a rollaway mattress! Grounds are nice and clean. They gave us gift certificate for the restaurant, average food, at $180 for two adults, and two teens, well overpriced. All in all, resort is nice but be ware you will be bumped out of your reservation if they deem someone more important than you.

The good: Great location, good pool.

The good: Great location, good pool.
The bad: Customer service. On our second day here we noticed that our room was not cleaned. Thinking maybe the just forgot, we did not think anything more about it. The next, was using the restroom and noticed we did not have any toilet paper. After an embarrassing clean up, I called the front desk, they said they DO NOT clean the rooms and it s not their problem, but they would send some toilet paper over later. Are you kidding me. They said that they cannot find workers, but yet there is 10 bartenders selling you a $10 beer, but nobody to bring clean towels or restock the toiletries. I called Motel 6 and even they clean the rooms daily. Sad and disgusting. If you choose to stay here, please bring your own toilet paper and towels. This place should be embarrassed.

Great resort for the whole family. We go the townhouse hotel and was great for small kids and adults and still have your own space. Food wasn t that good, but pool made up for it. Good location as well with plenty of attractions near by.

There were a few problems number one the bathroom sink would not drain I had to go underneath and adjusted he did not send a maintenance guy out. Number two the door to our main bedroom did not shut it was swollen so the door would not close. Number three had small insects in the bathroom. Number for call for room service to bring three spoons took them over 45 minutes. More than likely we will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Very Nice mid level resort.....Everything very nice. Stayed 2 nights. Preferred the regular room close to the main pool and main hotel over the king suite set at the back of the property. All in all very nice, good value, and great staff.

Nice resort, spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff..the towels are a little rough..as in not fluffy and when staff cleaned the rooms did not replace wash clothes with same number... so we started with 3 for two people we stayed 3 nights...and by the last day there was just 1.

2) Food at the rehearsal dinner for 116 guests and over $16,000. was absolutely DREADFUL -
I would never recommend The SCOTTSDALE PLAZA RESORT TO ANYONE HAVING A LARGE EVENT SERIOUSLY- They REEL YOU IN MAKE ALL SORTS OF PROMISES AND THE END RESULT IS HORRIBLE FOOD THAT ISN'T EVEN PRESENTABLE TO SERVE TO A DOG AND I AM NOT KIDDING. The Chicken was dry along with the sauce which tasted sour, the asparagus tasted old and was very hard, the mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box, a total disappointment. The entire experience was very embarrassing not only to me but my guests who were in town from all over the USA. The worst was the attitude of my coordinator And the Vice President of the Resort who didn t think this dinner deserved money back even though the majority of our guests didn t eat it after the first bite! Imagine a piece of chicken wrapped in a sauce that looked like only red and dry, that s what we were served for $73.00 per plate + tax and gratuity. Pure VOMIT
If we were allowed to have a test tasting as we requested, this would ve never happened however, my coordinator Kate Gallagher wouldn t allow it and reassured me that all the Chefs food was excellent. As I found out along with my 113 guests, THE CHEF COOKS THE STUFFED CHICKEN WITH HAM PARMA STUFFING AS HE WOULD COOK A HARD BOILED EGG! Over cooked and thrown and tossed as if it were cooked on an assembly line along with a thousand other eggs. Pure HELL and I intend on taking this as far as the Better Business Bureau. After reading reviews from their Mothers Day brunch how can this Resort even say or Claim they are in the top Resorts in 2019? TO ME THAT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES TO THE PUBLIC.

Excellent Resort. We have been there three time for a work conference and I am always impressed. The place is spotless and every time I go something else has been renovated since my last visit.

Nicest Motel I've ever stayed in. Sorry to say that indeed I did intend the use of the word Motel. From here, I'll begin by being positive because I'm really trying to be objective here for the benefit of potential guests. The common staff are exceptionally polite and attentive by my singular experience. Food and service at the JD's was unbelievably good. I got a burger there and it was probably top ten best burgers I've had. ($18.50 it wasn't cheap but damn I might stop by someday just to have it again.) Even the pool was nice if not a little boring.

The rooms though... Any Marriot or Sheraton is going to have superior amenities. External walkways complete with low rise iron railings fit for a Motel 6 are the standard here. The rooms are dressed up a bit but still ring of the previously mentioned. Seating in the room consisted of a rolling office chair or the edge of a bed. Seriously the rooms were not comfortable or luxurious in the least. Not even a mini bar!! Administration here also really mishandled a simple request to retrieve some forgotten items from our room but that really isn't the headline of this review. This place is rated at 4.5 stars by Google and other booking networks but don't let that or the name of this place fool you, there are far nicer R&R locations in the Scottsdale area. I won't stay here again for the price.

This was our first time in Arizona and it was an incredible time. This was a very large resort with many amenities. Central, fantastic service, beautiful grounds, and shuttle was handy. Recommend the Villa as it is like a little house. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Absolutely stunning. We're here on my honeymoon and it's been great so far. We got an upgrade in our class of room. We had already booked a bi-level suite, but we were upgraded to the absolute best, an executive lodge. Everything is clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. A big thanks to Marco, and everyone at the in-hotel restaurant JD's!

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for a state convention of the Knights of Columbus. Pros: accommodation was great! Loved the balcony on the first & second floors! Loved the staff at the spa, lost my necklace that had been in my family for years (put it in the robe they provided and forgot) didn't realize I lost it till I was going to bed and the spa is already closed. They found my necklace the next day and even tracked me down to personally hand it to me! Cons: the bottled water in the room was charged to our bill even if we didn't drink it (we put it in t G ev fridge but put it back on the counter before checking out) and when we ordered room service, we were NOT told that gratuity will be included in the charges. We gave a tip to the person that delivered the food when it arrived.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding. The campus was beautiful with all the amenities you would expect (salon, spa, gym, etc). Ate at two of the restaurants. Had dinner and buffet breakfast at the main restaurant. Dinner was good, the breakfast buffet was a little disappointing for $15 per person. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes. The waffles and biscuits were kind of stale. There was also toast and instant oatmeal. We stayed in like a little casita on the back of the property. They are one story and four to a building with little walkways and courtyards in between. The rooms are adjoining. There was a bedroom, bathroom with shower (no tub), living room and kitchenette. I did think it was kind of weird that there was a full sized kitchen table and bar sink, but only a mini fridge and no microwave. The room was nice and updated, but you can tell it has old bones. There are pools all over and we did go to the hot tub/pool by our room. Even in December, the water very nice, heated pool and the hot tub was great. Also loved that they don't close the pools at night, so you can go any time. Overall the place was great and I would definitely stay again.

I was only there for a social event - a wedding reception - but the resort was a beautiful venue. The service was very nice with bellhops available to take you to anywhere on the large property on golf carts. The food at the reception was very tasty and done very well. As mentioned, was only there for the reception, so I do not have any info about the rooms, but the resort looked very nice. Oh, and the scenery at the resort is excellent as it is set around some neat mountains like Camelback mountain.

A staple of Paradise Valley, the outdated resort needs a new facelift. However, if you like the old style look, saltillo tile throughout, beautiful lush mature landscape, tennis courts and pools, near the heart of old Scottsdale, this is your place!

Very good, casual hospitality. The resort is perfectly maintained and very comfortable. My only ding is the food, which I did not find especially tasty. The door staff took great care of us. The live music in JDs was much better than typical.

It's nice, but the front desk staff was pretty rude when we requested a late checkout. We were travelling with 3 kids and asked for a 1 hour extention. They said, "no!" after checking with the manager Lol. I called back and said we were going to take an additional hour anyway and hung up... the property was perfect, but the personality of whoever I talked to sucked.

We stayed here on a Monday night to make a a very early morning appointment on Tuesday. There was a convention event in the courtyard right outside our room with a live band. When we went to complain we were told that the band was playing until 10:00 PM, that the hotel was not aware that there would be a band until the event started, and the that there was nothing they could about it. Apparently other guests complained as well but the hotel did not intervene with the event.

The rooms are fine, the pools are nice. Didn't try the food.

At $333 a night for a supposedly upscale resort. The rooms are outdated motel like with locked doors that join rooms. Walls are so thin you can hear the other rooms joining a conversations as your trying to sleep. Flying gnats in my ears all night. Nasty carpet. When I complained they offered to waive $25 resort fee and a free breakfast. Come on! $40 motels have free breakfasts and no resort fee. The landscaping was nice but you can sleep there.

We loved our stay here. We had a bi-level suite, with our two boys - which made all the difference. It allowed us to have the opportunity for privacy, and space. All of our needs were met.
The staff here ( front desk, cleaning, & all staff) go above & beyond to make you feel welcome. We will definitely return here when we come back to Scottsdale. Thank you all for making our stay memorable!!

Intransparent pricing strategy. When checking out, you re getting blamed for booking your stay at booking dot com. ... The facility is actually nice, but I haven t felt very welcome by the front desk agents. The price you pay for breakfast wasn t worth the money. I d recommend to grab breakfast outside as the service outside is faster and highly likely more tasty.

One of the best places we got to stay in on our road trip. The resort is quite large so after checking in you will most likely need to drive to where you will stay which is not a huge inconvenience. We enjoyed the townhome style accomodations and the sprawling gardens behind the buildings. There are also multiple pools so at least one will likely be closer to you.

On top of all of this my favorite part of the experience was actually the quality of service offered. Not only was everyone very professional and courteous but they went above and beyond. We forgot something perishable in the fridge and they worked with us to have it shipped to us in a special container, making sure nothing went bad.

We will definitely stay here again!

I was here for a conference. Everyone was really great and it's not nearly as big as they were making it sound. I could walk with my luggage to my room no problem. Though the guy with the cart was nice and it was good the first day since I was tired. Loved the pool and restaurant. Room was good too. Only issue was first night there was an outdoor party making some noise but only bothered me because I had jet lag and went to bed early.

this is our go to place whenever we are in Scottsdale. We have not found another hotel here like the Plaza. The grounds are amazing and it is set up to feel like you have your own apt. This is Scottsdale at its best. The setting is old time Scottsdale. Not in the rooms or the amenities, these are top notch. This is the old Scottsdale charm, green, lush and more. walk across the street to coffee , shop and more. Thanks for another great visit.

Flew in to Phoenix on business on what turned out to be "the wettest day in Arizona history". Needless to say there was water and flooding everywhere. The Plaza resort hotel and staff were very helpful and accommodating. They shuttled us everywhere and did it with a smile. Great staff here!

More than a resort, Scottsdale Plaza is an iconic wedding and events space. I seriously can t get enough of their Camelback views. Between the perfect location and the INCREDIBLE events team, this venue cannot be beat. Kate and Ricky go above and beyond to make sure you and your guests are treated like royalty!

Very good resort. Hung out with some family friends at the resort. Service was a bit slow, and not very geared towards to the resident. Location is ok, and rooms are very comfortable. Overall they get s solid recommend and I wouldn't turn them down.
