The Scottsdale Plaza Resort Reviews

The resort was in a great location, close to everything. Our room was very spacious with a huge bathroom and shower. Spent three days at the main pools which are nice music, food and beverage service. They could reduce the amount of food tables and add more lounge chairs, but all in all a great resort to visit at a great price.

Men's breakfast. Need one person that handles drinks only.

Last minute "staycation" when the A/C went out at home, now we can't wait to return under better circumstances!

I attended a work convention that was held here. It's a beautiful property in a good location. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. The convention center was nice and big, the staff were all very kind and helpful and the catered food was awesome. I love the area and really enjoyed my time here.

Great resort when it is open. Beware of discounted rates due to closed pool and restaurants during remodel!
They should tell customers when taking reservations, but they did not. Room was great.

Horrible experience! I will never stay here again nor will I recommend it! Upon arrival I was charged for an "incidents charge" for 2 nights which was a complete surprise, since I have never been charged for something like this upfront. You know, you normally give your debit/credit card just in case something happens. The first thing I did was check my bank account and saw the charge (it was a Friday). On Monday the charge was still there, but on Tuesday the charge and the amount charged had been taken from my account. I called during the next week and was assured that the charge would fall back within 10 days. It has been a month and nothing. I called my bank and they say they cannot see the charge. So I ended up paying double for a 2 night stay. And the worst part? There is nothing inside the hotel rooms that is worth $50, so what is the point of the charge?
I WILL TELL PEOPLE I KNOW WHO TRAVEL TO PHOENIX TO NEVER STAY HERE.

Loved my stay!! Hot tub was the biggest I've ever seen. Staff was greay. Had a dj at pool on saturday! Had a live band in restaurant. Food could be better!!

Great facility for a corporate meeting. Rooms look pretty good, and are on par with most mid-level business hotels, with a few extra 'resort' luxuries. The grounds are well kept, and the staff friendly. Lots of nearby shopping, dining, entertainment options.

Amazing place. Left Tapatio Cliffs a Hilton Hotel after 3 days due to it being nasty and dirty.

We just held our international sales conference at the Plaza at the end of September and it was amazing! We had approximately 80 guests in attendance over a four day period. The accommodations were great and everyone raved about the newly renovated rooms. Everything from the daily breakfasts, lunches and amenities were great. We held our business meetings there for 2 days and our annual awards dinner in their grand ballroom. The staff was amazing. They were very accommodating and detailed!! If you are looking for a place to hold a conference and you want to give your guests VIP treatment, call the Plaza! Celebrity Greens!!!

Had my teenage son's birthday party here. Reserved a pool side villa and it was great. Clean rooms and grounds, great resort staff, and good food. There is 5 pools and they are open 24 hrs which everyone loved. Well be visiting here again.

Great rooms, friendly staff, and a ton to do on-site.

Even though they updated the bathroom, the rest of the room still feels very dated. It's weird not having a tub but only a shower in the bathroom. The walls are too thin. I can her my neighbors and everything going on outside.

It's an awesome place full of things to do.
We were here for two nights, not enough time to take advantage of what this place has to offer.
Will be coming back soon.

Awesome experience, good people and reasonable rates. Nice pool to kick it by if that s your thing. Tennis courts are in top shape as well. Spa and Sauna rates are a little steep so go local for similar services. Scottsdale is a wonderful location to visit in Spring / Fall.

I attended a conference here, and was really pleased with my stay. The staff were all super helpful, and attentive and were able to accommodate me. Meals were included in my conference registration. I am vegan and while the options for me were quite basic and nothing special, I really appreciated that they went out of their way to come talk to me every day about the planned menu and ask me what would be ok to eat. They also brought me a separate plate every lunch and dinner and offered to cook me something else if I was still hungry. Aside from the conference food, I really appreciate the Beyond Burger being offered at JD's, and the milk alternatives at the Market shop.
Every single member of the staff that I had any interaction with was very friendly, smiled at me, and wished me a good stay. The grounds are well maintained, and well organized. Attention to detail like having fresh cold water and towels in the pool areas, and golf carts to drive weary travelers to their rooms were nice touches that made the stay that much better.
The room itself was massive and clean. The bathroom was large, with nice lighting and plenty of storage. The shower was also lovely, and the robes were a nice touch. The A/C worked really well and kept me cool and comfortable in my room while it was 45C outside during the day.
Overall, an amazing stay!

Clean, spacious hotel with nice grounds for walking. Right off the main road so still some noise. The rooms are clean and well maintained but could use a refresh.

This resort is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and the location is hard to beat. You can get to old town, north Scottsdale, Tempe, or downtown Phoenix easily. The food we ordered came fast and was really good especially the French fries! There are pools close to all the rooms so you feel like you have your own personal space without huge crowds even in the busy season. The grounds are beautifully kept and they have great amenities for a shirt or long stay. Will definitely be back for leisure and I would love to attend a conference here!

I was there for a business conference that just about took all my spare time so I didn't get to do all that the resort had to offer. I can say that the food was delicious, the staff is wonderful, and I loved the shuttle that took us to a fast food place and waited! Don't forget to ask for a microwave should you want one. The fitness center was pretty good with items like jump ropes, small, medicine balls, and other things. The rooms were roomy and clean! I even walked beside the resort through the neighborhood on the hills. A coyote crossed my path. It was minding its business and I minded mine. We got along rather well. You'll have a blast here. Reserve today!

Rooms were a bit old and the pool features nothing really to write home about when compared to other area resorts, but really friendly staff.

Staff are amazing! Our flight got delayed, and then not. The staff dropped everything to help us make our flight. Definitely will return the next time we're in the area.

I'm here on a business trip, and so far everything has been great. The rooms are large, the resort is beautiful. The check in was efficient, and since to be driven right to your room was a great benefit, especially in this heat! I'll be bringing my wife back soon.

We stayed two nights and ate the breakfast buffet in the restaurant which was plentiful and delicious. The service was top notch. We were part of a large group. Largest hot tub in Arizona! Cozy patio with gas fire pits. Live music in the bar area. Beautifully decorated common areas. The rooms were nicely appointed, with comfortable beds and large choice of pillows. it was quiet near our room, we did not hear anyone else.

I love the resort, In that place there is a lot of privacy. Good customer service.

It was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The setting is beautiful, the room was large and fantastic and the staff we friendly, responsive and efficient. I'll always look to stay there when in in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

We went there for the Freedom Expo dinner and found the food and service to be exceptional. The area is well maintained and it shows their maintenance leadership team is well led and motivated.

Such and accommodating resort, with such a friendly staff. Nice selection of rooms available, but our pool side suite worked well for the whole family. Wonderful location, quick car ride, uber, or scooter ride to anywhere. Not only do we enjoy staying here, you can talk to any of the workers here and see that they love the Scottsdale Plaza Resort as well.

Run definitely run made this place alive only will I go back up there they are again otherwise the employees didn't even know that that was going on so make it happen Scottsdale Plaza

Nice place! I attend an annual convention at this location. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Great location in Scottsdale. Near old town and Camelback.

Old and dated. Like they're not even trying to update. Also, the trash left on the tables was a pretty obvious miss.

Typical conference center resort that is not part of a big national chain.

I went here in June for a conference. I enjoyed my time with the meeting rooms and food offered.
I had a king suite which was comfortable space from the bedroom to the living room. Decent channels for the evening along with a mounted TV in the room.
We had a smaller pool near our room which was convenient and the main pool had plenty of seats and bar service.
The resort shuttle can convenient as well since it can take you within a 5 mile radius for free until 9pm.
The staff were nice for the most part. One lady didn't seem to believe me that I was there for another day which was annoying so I had to explain about the additional papers that she had me sign when I checked in. Mind you the JD's sport lounge had amazing staff and decent food.

Stayed here for my birthday. Nice big rooms, very private bungalows, lovely staff and they have a sweet locals deal. The rooms and place itself were a little outdated and the pools were very warm. But we still had a nice time!

It was our first time here with my kids. We got a nice room. As we thought. But it turns out it was infested with cockroaches and ants. As we were at the pool. My husband went back to the room to find 4 more. Called the front desk and they sent people to come spray with raid. By now it was 7 at night.
When we got back from swimming after they sprayed the room we found 2 more cockroaches!!
I have a 4,5 and 1 year old . They were too scared to sleep.
The front desk tried to State it was because it was hot out.
But I can understand one or 2 but not as many as we saw .
They did end up moving us to a different room. It was a nice room but it was also 9:30 at night and my kids were very tired.
We didn't really get to enjoy the room and had to check out the next day.
For a resort and how much we paid it wasn't as expected unfortunately.

My favorite hotel in Arizona. Best pools. Best staff. Best everything.
