We love staying at Salem Waterfront. Fantastic!!! Very clean, love the employees. We are surprised that your hotel doesnt have soda vending machines and microwaves for guest use. Thank u all for another beautiful vacation !!

In the heart of Salem, easy access to everything. Clean... ample parking, pool, restaurant... walking distance to a fast ferry to Boston, great choice for our trip!
Wasn't happy paying $100 more for weekend stay and a 2 night MINIMUM is ridiculous. For the price you pay you get a basic room with basic amenities. Not worth it!
It was in the middle of everything, sharp appearance. But the room wasn't clean when we got in so that was disappointing. The bathroom had some mold in grout, hair balls on carpet, and one sheet had a stain on it. They do have their own parking, that is a plus because you can park there and just walk around. Also it was nice they had pool there.
Great function room..great servers for my Mom's 50th surprise party..food was great..all around was very satisfied with all the staff did to accommodate my family fir my Mother's surprise 50th birthday party..i will definitely use this place again..was well worth the money
Perfect location for enjoying Salem, next door to quaint shops and good restaurants. rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. We also recommend spa treatments at Andrew Michael's Spa and Salon, in Salem a few miles from the hotel.
My wife was staying over for a wedding. The room looked nice, but the room was not clean (dirty towels on the floor) and seemed to have a musty smell to it.
This a beautiful, meticulously clean hotel. My stay there was the best. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Salem. The staff and atmosphere are top notch. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
I go off season every spring and as always made to feel welcome and cared for. Quiet spot central to everything, friendly staff and comfy, clean accommodation. A great stay.
We have stayed here once a year for the last 5+ years and it is always an excellent experience! The hotel itself is beautiful with great amenities and within walking distance to all of what downtown Salem has to offer. Can not wait to return next year!
Absolutely fantastic service from the hotel staff (especially appreciated during covid) with clean and well supplied rooms. The location was great to Salem and surrounding towns. We will definitely stay here again.
Great hotel! The room was very large and very clean. The front desk was extremely helpful with suggesting attractions we should see when we went to ask about them. The location is perfect being just a short walk away from just about everything but still far enough away to have a peaceful setting. Highly recommend staying here
This was our 4th, and more than likely, our final stay at Salem Waterfront Hotel. There was an event at the hotel which apparently drew a large number of loud and inconsiderate guests who were staying on the same floor. All night long, my family (which included two children) and I were kept awake by the sound of very loud and boisterous groups of people getting on and off the elevator, congregating in the hallway and repeatedly visiting the ice machine - unfortunately, both of which (elevator and ice machine) were located directly across the hall from our room. We called the front desk (at approximately 1030pm) and made them aware of the situation, only to be told they would "send someone up right away" - the noise continued well into the early hours of the morning. Not at all the way I wanted to spend what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway away with my family.
I have stayed at the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Marina several times over the past 3 years and absolutely love it. Rooms are spacious and welcoming. Hotel staff always go the extra mile to make sure you're enjoying your stay. Amazing bonus of a pool! Would never stay anywhere else when I visit the North Shore.
The minute you walked in you knew this was a quality place. Rooms were spacious, workers were great. The experience was great. Parking is tough to get but so close to everything its fine to walk.
Rooms were great, and had lots of ammenities. Beds were comfortable enough, and the shower worked well. There could be a bit more room to move around, but otherwise the rooms in the hotel are great.
A good hotel in a very convenient location to all the historic and waterfront sights. Here for corporate meetings. Some minor technical issues and a couple service/cleanliness items. Food provided for lunches pretty basic. Rooms were huge with plenty of space. Front desk staff very helpful with dinner recommendations.
The hotel is very clean, the staff is nice and the wifi is very fast. Plus, they have a restaurant in the hotel. It's easy walking distance to all of the downtown Salem attractions.
A total rip off!! This hotel went down in all aspects! Way too expensive for what you get! Beds were old, chair dirty, no refrigerator or soda machine, no breakfast or continental breakfast! Go elsewhere!!!
Rude front desk staff. I have a service dog for cardiac reasons and they surrounded me with people who had children. My dog barked at the loud slamming of doors and they blamed me. No matter how well trained a dog is constant slamming makes them warn thier owner. They wouldn't move my room and were rude the rest of my stay.
Rooms are very clean. But the front staff is subpar. Severe lack of communication upon checking in over actual billing. Rigatta pub alright but you have to chew your orange juice. Just not worth the cost.
Was there for the restaurant. Service was friendly and fast, however the food was slightly too hot. Regardless, the food was amazing once cooled down, and I enjoyed myself.
BUYER BEWARE...do not make a reservation here unless you are on your way to the hotel! They are not COVID19 friendly...if you have to cancel due to the states change in hotel policy they will charge you a $25 credit card fee. Very interesting coz they did not charge me a credit card fee when I made the reservation. Also, I needed 3 rooms (it was supposed to be a mini reunion with out of state friends) and instead of one reservation they broke it out into 3 separate reservations so I get to pay the $25 fee three times. I suggest you find a more visitor friendly place to stay!
Small hotel by the marina. Standard size rooms. Short walk to town and points of interest. On site parking included which is a plus. Friendly staff. Due to a miscommunication with my spouse we arrived with no reservation but they were able to get us a room for one night at standard rate. Had to switch to a suite the next day but that was our bad and we were lucky they had a vacancy.
I enjoyed my experience overall, but the staff gave the impression they were rushed and busy. I never had a Bloody Mary before and the waitress just gave me a glass of vodka and told me to serve myself. That was part of the special that day, but the waitress just rushed away without a chance for a question. The food was pretty good, but not what I'd expect from a hotel's quality of food. The portions were large though. The prices were definitely a little more than what I would've expected. And being in Salem, I expected more seasonal options than there were. Again, I wasn't completely disappointed, but I'd say it was no better than average for the meal.
I really enjoy this hotel. I have only attended a small conference here and I have never stayed here but I would love to. The conference space is great and the staff is always friendly. I can recommend for a small conference for sure. Close to everything Salem has to offer.
We are so thankful and pleased with our experience at the Salem Waterfront Hotel. We had a beautiful wedding dinner reception that will remain etched in our memories and our guests. Caitlyn Ward was AMAZING!! She was there when we needed her and genuinely cared. She went above and beyond to ensure that our day was special. The food was superb...our guests are still talking about how excellent the food was. The spring rolls, stuffed chicken with feta and cheese, filet mignon, mashed potatoes and baby carrots, the creme brulee WOW!! The front desk personnel were so helpful, professional and nice people. The bartender, servers, and Rose were so great. The chef was outstanding can't emphasize enough his expertise. Our complimentary room was an added bonus. The grounds are beautiful, clean and well kept. We will recommend the Salem Waterfront Hotel to everyone we know. Thank you for helping us make our wedding on July 8, 2017 an unforgettable memory.
Extremely poor, poor customer service( especially Sam who works the front service desk).Told us that she doesn't care what we leave for a review and there is no mgr. on site til 11pm. Mind you its 7pm. We arrived last night, no one greeted us. In and out through the lobby all day long, no greetings or even a smile from staff. False advertisement on there website. NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL. They need to review there family packages.
