The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota Review

This is the best hotel in the world!!! Every time I go to Sarasota I stay here and it doesn't get any better than this. Pure luxury! And that beach club! YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!!!

Amazing hotel. We loved our stay and the staff was very help. We enjoyed our stay!

I stayed at the Ritz for just one night. The staff is polite and helpful. The hotel was well kept.

Stopped for lunch overlooking the water. Great service and beautiful hotel. They had a Halloween display made completely out of chocolate. Something I've never seen before. Hope they won their competition.

The hotel is in much need of an update the rooms are out dated
This entire property is definitely not up to Ritz Carlton standards.
However the front desk staff and the valet staff are probably the best you ll find on any property anywhere amazing amazing service
As for their private beach resort ....first class!!
The staff at the beach is amazing , very hard-working and provide awesome first class service , five stars for all the staff at both locations, they really go out of their way above and beyond for all the guests, the three stars I gave is for the hotel property ....
Come on Marriott you can do better!
Update the rooms in the hotel please and we will be back but not until then

The room was fabulous: very clean and elegant. The drinks at the bar in the lounge were great.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to. They have extremely polite and knowledgeable staff wether that be at the reception or the restaurant named Jack Dusty. The restaurant has great food and drinks, it s also open late so if u wish too u could grab a midnight snack with the view of the pier. The rooms are luxurious with the beds are extremely comfortable and spacious bathrooms.

I live here part time so maybe slightly biased but the property is immaculate and the people super friendly. Prices can be scary at the bar but just order another martini and forget about it!

Outstanding Sunday breakfast on a beautiful outdoor covered patio right next to a marina.

Corporate Christmas Party. Lovely evening party with veranda overlooking pool, garden and water. Food was tasty - for hotel fare. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive.

top of the line ritz with shuttle to the beach! it's disappointing that they're not on the beach but they give you a free shuttle.

Got our reservation wrong
Had 4 people in a room with a king size bed. All they could do was give us a feather mat for the floor.

Service is amazing as should be at the ritz. Room service is good but the rooms themselves could use an upgrade.

They took amazing care of my family. Kids loved the kids club activities and the bell men. Hans was a real hit. Rooms are a little tired and I would guess they'll renovate in a year or two. Excellent hotel, will return.

The service is what you re paying for here. The building and room didn t stand out as anything special to me. The room I stayed in had paper thin walls. Didn t work out so great for me as a light sleeper. The best part was being able to go to the beach club. The pool, restaurant, tiki bar, and beach are incredible.

Amazing staff awesome food,not to mention cocktail,cocktails cocktails.i think everyone should spend even one night at the Ritz-Carlton the view is to die for and the staff makes sure you are well taken care of cant wait to visit again

Went there for drinks and dessert. The bar was beautiful. The patio looks beautiful but Florida was undergoing a major cold snap so we never really got to sit outside. The bourbon selection was deep and the cocktails were good. One minor disappointment was the key lime mousse something-or-other dessert. But, overall a very consistent Ritz-Carlton experience I'd say experience I would say.

It was an amazing place to celebrate our New Year's Eve at the fun midnight pool terrace party.

We have our company Christmas party here once a year and it gets better every year. The staff is incredibly helpful and cheerful. The food and service is incredible!

Staffing are excellent, food is great, ohhhh the pool, the hot tub woooo, try for yourself, I almost forget valet parking are excellent, too much, they haven t pay me yet, lol

Hotel was great, checking in, not so great. For some reason my American Express wouldn't work. I gave them my debit card and they said that wouldn't work. There just happen to be an ATM machine within 15 foot, so I asked them how much cash they needed to check me in, walked over to the ATM, withdrew what I needed and handed it to them. Really?! Later that evening, went back down stairs and mysteriously my AMEX worked. Not a good experience.

There massage was...ok. The Healing Waters room was...a Jacuzzi that wasn't hot enough, a wet sauna and a dry sauna. Hardly healing. It looks nice and the staff was great but I expected more from a place under the name Ritz-Carlton.

Amazing venue for Thanksgiving, Buffett meal that never ends!!!!

Do not go to this spa if you have an accent. My wife visited this spa and after three mimosa's was asked to leave because the staff considered her intoxicated. She was there with a group of ladies and the staff didn't even have the decency to talk to any of the other ladies. They just left my wife sitting outside by herself crying for an HOUR while I drove over. To cap it off they then charged for the facial that they refused to give her. My wife was completely sober had no more to drink than anyone else in her party and when I asked to speak with the manager she came out with a 6'4" security guard after I waited another 10 minutes to talk to her. Thank you Ritz for ruining a wonderful weekend being completely insensitive and possibly racist. I will never again visit any of your "Ritz" facilities.

Its a great place to visit.. had a wonderful time. All the employees were very courteous. Especially Dianna in the gift shop.

Wharton took over. Knew a Ritz attorney prior..Ritz related. Ritz shall be greatest business influence in Sarasota history. Texans babe.ok??

Tiki drinks and food was offered in the restaurant on the ground floor. Ambiance was great and romantic. A hardworking mermaid was sitting on top of the bar and smiling the whole time of our dinner. Impressive...

A HUGE slice of Heaven. Unbelievable customer service unmatched in my 40 years of travel. Everyone knew my name and the courtesy extended throughout my stay was beyond Professional. I once again have faith in human beings having a congenial place in their heart. Society has become abrasive however I have a renewed faith.

Had one of the best weekends of my life at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota celebrating my 60th birthday with my girlfriends of 32 years. Thanks Michael Bell and your incredible team for making us feel like royalty!!! Every detail was taken care with world-class customer service. Jesse at the Lido Beach Club made our beach / pool day exceptional! Thanks for a lifetime memory!!! We will be back.

Did theSpa treatment with lunch and champagne wonderful

Me and my wife stayed in Ritz Carlton Sarasota for six nights recently. We never had such a wonderful experience before. Every member of staff in this hotel is exceptional and wonderfully accommodating. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed. I would not be able to check in without patient help of Khalid, front door manager, who gave me advice how I should use my UK credit cards, to make successful payment. Khalid later helped me many times with advices what to do in Sarasota and how I can get to the points of interest.
The room was great and cleaned to perfection. We never had a problem with anything in the room. Cleaning staff was extremely efficient and quiet. Dry cleaning was perfect. All staff was very friendly and attentive. Concierges were excellent. I am very grateful for Concierges Shari and Regina for their continuous support and booking us taxis three times a day.
We really enjoyed the dining at the club level terrace, overlooking the bay. We never had such good food in our life! The service was great and the entire staff of club level was eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Call center agent James made our trip special. He gave us a lot of advises and helped us with a lot of issues.
We can t wait to visit again!

came here for a conference, wonderful staff and valet parking. I think the hotel tries to be greener by using less bottled water.

The bad and the good...... first off, the spa is excellent, and always has been the best in Sarasota. The resort has a lot of work to do to catch up. The service is not five star, and i am referring to a recent two night stay. There were ants in my hotel room, the cleaning lady broke the screen on my ipad, the room didn't get cleaned during the day while we were out. Now for the strangest part, they ran out of fresh squeezed oj. And we're not willing to squeeze more. This happened two days in a row, and the second time it was still breakfast time. For resort that charges an extra resort feet on a daily basis, I expect if they have the oranges, they should be squeezing them. Alley good side, the manager took care of the iPad screen with an instant credit to my bill. The cleaning lady effectively cleaned as well as possible to try to curb the and problems, and A manager was also able to get the restaurant staff to squeeze me some more fresh squeezed Orange juice.

5 stars well deserved. Gorgeous property and 5 star service everywhere for sure!! Our room and view was spectacular and the house keeping crew so nice, friendly and quick. Check in was awesome and quick. And we felt very safe

Dated and wearing masks was not enforced.. even at the Club level! Did not feel safe.. we left. Very disappointed since this is suppose to be a 5 star hotel. Gina and Kalid (general manager) were empathetic.

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Sarasota and every single time has been a 10 star experience. Staff is incredibly kind and the service is absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is pristine, clean, and luxurious. Rooms are spacious, modern, very clean. In room dining is delicious! So many options to choose from and everything is so good! We always look forward to the food from Jack Dusty. We were here during our Eid celebration and they had a wonderful chocolate dessert tray and card waiting for us in our room upon our arrival. We will never stay anywhere else! Best hotel we have ever stayed at hands down.

Arriving for a large morning event, my car was immediately taken by a valet parking attendant. When I entered the lobby, a cordial employee asked what event I was attending and directed me. When the event ended and I went to retrieve my car, many people were waiting but a man in the lobby took my ticket. I only had to wait few minutes for the car, and several men were stationed in the driveway smoothing the way for outgoing traffic. I was greatly impressed by the efficiency, friendliness, and swift action of all the hotel staff (and by the fine quality of the breakfast).

O my god 5 chefs and all kinds of food stay there for a week to see wath I'm talking about !!!!!!!!

Lobby like holiday in restaurant mediocre people very nice

Excellent subdued luxury hotel, in a quiet waterfront location. My only gripe with it is that you have to cross what is basically a highway to get to the core downtown.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are a little small, but the service and food are both awesome.

I loved my stay at The Ritz in Sarasota FL. The staff was AMAZING making us feel like royalty after our tiresome flight. The room was polished, and the shuttle to their ocean side made it a breeze to enjoy a beachy vacation. The 24 hour service and pool was perfect for early birds and night owls in our group... a worthy stop in our summer vacation. Thank you Ritz! Your staff, service, and attention to detail was perfect for us!

I've stayed here several times. This is a great hotel, with excellent service and a wonderful Concierge lounge. However the hallways and rooms are getting a bit tired. The restaurant is quite good, but not great. I suspect they will remodel soon, there are many new properties being built and the competition will increase significantly. You won't be disappointed here, but you won't be wowed either. Only 4 Stars from me--mostly for facilities--the people were wonderful!

Not worth the money. And they then charge the bogus $40 "resort fee". It's not optional, so the room rate is misrepresented. This should be illegal!

The upgraded room is very small. Plus a horrible tub shower combo in the bathroom. And forget the parking/valet fee. Where is truth in pricing?

They didn't clean the room, even when it was requested. They could barely find a few wine glasses for me to take to my room.

I've stayed at several Ritz properties and this one is a miss.

Next time in town I'll be looking to stay somewhere else.

The salads are above average; sorta less cut up than I am used to. Great place to spend a stimulus check. The server , Noah, had a major case of Punkstyria; looked sort of like the singer of Silverstein.

We've stayed in multiple Ritz Carlton's but our first time in Sarasota. They lived up to every expectation. From the service, amenities, and over all experience. Club level was gracious and professional. We witnessed some rude and entitled guests but the staff handled everything in stride. The beach club was wonderful from the beach, pool, and tiki bar. Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best staff on earth. Top notch hotel and amenities. Everything is clean and beautiful. Room service was willing to cater to our dietary preferences with off-menu items. We stay here once per year and it never disappoints. Weight room is very nice in terms of hotel gym standards.

Have been here for 5 nights. Its the most luxurious hotel in this area, very clean and quite. Awesome employees specially their car valley and front desk team.
Wish if i can give them 5 stars but the AC wasn t working properly even though I reported the issue but it wasn t fixed. Jack Dusty restaurant at the lobby was good but not excellent. Better choices are located around the area.

My husband and I search out a sunny destination every March to escape the dreary cold weather. This year we happened upon this magnificent gem. From the moment we arrived, our expectations were exceeded. The Sarasota Ritz-Carlton exemplified the vision set by The Ritz Carlton organization. The customer service was impeccable. There is a high probability this will be our destination each March for years to come.
