Top notch everything! But Tatum at the beach club stood out. He was kind and fun and went out of his way to care for me and my wife and our 4 kids. Exemplary service and just a great part of our stay!

Disappointed. I love Ritzs but service was slow. Wanted a second drink at dinner and was never asked. A table friend went to the cashier with our bills to get use closed out. Just there for dinner, my meal was ok but not all I expect in experience from a Ritz. I'll go back and keep expecting premier service and experiences

This is NOT the typical Ritz experience, dirty champagne glasses left in room, long lines to check in, stood for 7 minutes for valet to even look up upon arrival. Typical Florida however. Sad disappointed Ritz Carlton customer.

We love it here. Wonderful location and access to the private beach club by bus. They treated us with such respect and care when we required special treatment for handicapped accessibility.

Very disappointing stay. Although we booked the room over the phone was not told that the Beach was closed for construction, so no lounging by the beach, just looking at the front loaders go by and packed by a small pool. Hotel still charged their daily resort fee which includes all sorts of beach equipment that they are not providing due to Covid. In order to make amends they waived the resort fee that should not have been charged in the first place and added some points to my Marriott account.

Very early in the construction phase at this point, a considerable amount of time before its completion date. Ideally located in downtown Sarasota. The view is magnificent and the surrounding area seems to be a hotspot for tourism and a thriving nightlife. A must visit locale!

First off, the hotel is great. Many staff throughout the property remember your name. This is a small gesture but one that really shows how much this hotel cares about hospitality.

For our last visit, my fiance and I were there to plan for our wedding in November. It has been such a pleasure to work with Kate Schanuel to help execute our wedding. She has been an excellent member of the Ritz wedding team. The wedding tasting she organized for us with the Chef was phenomenal. The service by Gianna during this tasting was outstanding. They truly made us feel special and we knew we picked the right team for our wedding. I would also like to thank Rosemary who has done so much in helping us prepare for our wedding.

Thank you for a great stay, and we look forward to our wedding with this top notch crew executing it!

Myself and 7 other girls decided to go to the spa here for a bachelorette party. I had spent quite a bit of time planning it. Making sure everyones treatments were reserved, mimosas for the girls, lunch with a special treat (something from the bakery) and then back to the spa. Our actual experience is not what i expected of a Ritz... We had one woman, Gabrielle, who was amazing. She showed us our lockers and gave us a brief tour of the spa. Then we went into our treatments. Most girls had fine treatments without problems and they were enjoyable. But from there, it went downhill. One of the girls who was supposed to get a hair mask ended up not having it. She had to fight tooth and nail to make sure it was complete. Then we went to lunch which was nice. But the special thing from the bakery that I had planned with Shelby never came! Neither did the mimosas. After lunch when we tried to return back to the spa, they wouldn't even give us new robes! Ours were pretty wet. They treated us like we had snuck back into the spa even though I was very clear that we would be returning after lunch. The service was terrible! There were no towels in the healing waters and it was just terrible.. The service was awful! The last strike was when I emailed Shelby about the issues we had had and one week later, I still haven't gotten a response.... While I'm not surprised, considering the amount of money we spent at the spa that day, the service was awful and I won't be returning.

Despite all of the limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my visit to The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota was over the top 5 star from our initial phone call all the way through check out.
The daytime hotel clerk was super nice and informative over the phone. I have Ambassador Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy and even though so many limitations are currently in place, he promised he would reserve a great room on a high floor with a great view and leave us in great hands with his colleague Khalid when we were to arrive later that night.
Sure enough Khalid went way above and beyond for us. He helped us find food deliver after midnight and was super helpful and polite in every way. I wish every Ritz or high end Bonvoy Hotel had people as respectful and genuinely caring as Khalid and the other gentleman.
They made this a 5 star experience. by far.

The beds are fabulous, so comfy. The reason Ritz-Carlton is the best is the service though, everything from parking attendants to front desk staff and concierge to housekeeping. Everyone is courteous and attentive. We loved our stay here.

I have not stayed here before, but in the three days that I have nannied here for a family, the staff here have been nothing but sweet!! I can promise that every single person I came across acknowledged me with such politeness! I even got free coffee! A big thank you to the Ritz Carlton staff! (:

I've stayed at Ritz Carlton's since I was a kid and always had wonderful experiences. I live in Naples where we have two and stayed at both for nights a way with my wife. The Ritz in Sarasota was unfortunately the worst experience I've ever had. Rooms are not that nice, service is mediocre, and no turn down. Your better off staying at the Hyatt or Westin and saving a few dollars.

Stellar hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive (shout out to the Guest Service agents welcoming us in the lobby). Rooms are elegant, spacious and comfortable with a stunning view. Moreover the hotel is locating very close to downtown. Definitely a very enjoyable place to stay in Sarasota.

I feel compelled to write this review because the change in service was so dramatic that I want to let others know what we experienced during our last (meaning most recent and final ) visit to the Ritz Carlton Sarasota.
For at least 6 years, my partner and I have been taking short vacations to the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota. We don t live very far (3 hour drive), but have always felt that we were visiting shangri-la. We never worried about the cost of the hotel and simply enjoyed our stay. We always received the best service and treatment from everyone there. From the minute we drove up, the valet would take our car and grab our bags. By the time we moved a few feet to the front door, the bellman greeted us by name and opened the door. The front desk knew who we were by the time we got to check-in and the agent would hand us both a glass of champagne. For us, it was so nice to be treated like royalty even if just for a weekend.
A few years ago, we discovered the club level and have since booked it on each stay even though the daily rate is anywhere between $700-$1000 per night. Yes, that is a lot of money for a regular room, but the club level service and amenities made us feel like the splurge was worth it. The club level offered an all day and night lounge area with unlimited hors d oeuvres/alcohol/beverages/sweets with a killer view of the water.
The Ritz property is beautiful and the design and decorations in the hotel are modern, yet classic. This Ritz faces the bay with a large pool and patio. It also offers a shuttle service to take any guest to its beach property about 5 miles away. We took advantage of that as well. And, at the beach club, the service remained spectacular. They would set us up with an umbrella, chairs and a bucket of ice cold water right at the ocean s edge. Pure luxury!
Now, this visit ..we came out of covid hiding to take a break at our favorite spot. When we arrived, the driveway was full of cars and they had one poor valet doing the work of 5. We were not offered any help with our bags, so we carried them in and there was no doorman to be seen. At the check-in desk, the staff was friendly, but offered no champagne. Our room was on the club level as was now our normal choice of rooms. The room rate was $800+ per night. When we got settled, we visited the club lounge. Everything was bare. There was very little food and there was only 1 server for about 8-10 guests. We then met up with friends who stayed there on our recommendation (they paid for a regular room at about $450). We asked for the hotel limo service (which had been available to all guests on every prior occasion) and we were told that there was none. We had to Uber it to the nearby restaurant.
The next morning we decided to go for a walk. We went down to the pool area and we shocked to see empty cocktail glasses on several tables, empty plates, water bottles in the planters and dirty towels on the pool lounge chairs. None of this debris had been picked up from the evening before! It was unacceptably dirty and messy.
I know people might say that the lack of service was caused by the virus and staffing issues. I would could see how that may be the case, except that the last time we stayed here was in September of 2019. We noticed then that the service level decreased and we wrote it off as an anomaly. We figured that things would straighten out and the hotel would get back to the standards it is known for. So, this time, the virus may have made the situation worse, but there were problems at this hotel way before the virus started. And, even if all the problems were caused by the virus situation, we should not have been charged full rack rate if the hotel was interested in being fair about what it could offer.
So, the bottom line is that we won t be staying at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota any more. We are not sure what is behind the change and suspect it may be new management. This hotel does not live up to the Ritz Carlton standards.

Absolute beautiful hotel with the best of both worlds ,overlooking the bay and marina and then having access to the beach club. Gorgeous property ,beautiful rooms and the cocktails are divine. Vincent the bartender at the Sarasota Ritz-Carlton gave exceptional service as well as Nilan who handled our poolside service! My only small complaint was that the lunch service both at the Sarasota Ritz-Carlton at the restaurant and at the Beachside Ritz-Carlton restaurant were extremely slow ( 40 minutes to to serve) ,which was odd because the beach & poolside service was spectacular. It was my birthday weekend and we will definitely come back for the next special occasion.

All staff makes an effort in learning your 1st name, amazing!
Was a little pricey, but it's a Ritz..
The beach is a short shuttle ride but is worth the ride.
Shopping at St. Armands is a great way to walk off your lunch or dinner.
What are you waiting for, go!

Will never step foot in another ritz carlton again. The staff was very rude and disrespectful to my dad who is a retired football player. Very disrespectful to my assistant. They would not let my helicopter drop me off in an area my pilot had dropped off numerous guest. My pilot showed me pictures of him dropping off previous vip guest in the same location I was asking to be dropped. Will not go to great links to service you or meet your accommodation.

Made me feel like being a black man had something to do with the lack of the famous great Ritz Carlton service I hear so much about. I was preparing to stay a week. That trip was cut short. Black people with a little money are not equal at the Ritz Carlton apparently. #waytogo #plies #raceinamerica

The concierge was very helpful and the main lobby was immaculate. I was only there for a small convention so I did not stay in a room, however based on what I did see, I would recommend this hotel

It's a typical Ritz, you get what you pay for. It's expensive, and that gets you first rate accommodations and impeccable, friendly, personalized service. The only complaint would be the beach club is off site, but once you get there, it's awesome.

Remodeled 8th floor club level looks amazing along with the rest of the hotel. The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota never fails to bring top noch service to its guests. Kennedy, is an amazing example of this!!
