The entrance was not worth it. The park was on the whole neat and clean but the ponds smelled very musty and stale and were littered, which muffled the whole trip and did not justify the expensive entry.

Plan to spend the day. Gorgeous on a beautiful day. Clear camera memory you'll need it. Great pics to be had. Loads of walking if you want it. Handicap friendly if you don't.
Family / girlfriend / pics for portraiture.
Beautiful cafe can suffice & will show you views on *off days.* Shop has mucros and avoca weaves. Clothing also. Go through Sally's gap roads prior [from Dublin/Celbridge roads(home of Guiness founder) glendalough or even the kiddie pirates play park but drive through here before traveling onwards to coastal cities [SE garden of Ireland tour].
Powers court is an absolute must mi us a tour busload full of people. Come at the afternoon. Avoid crowds.

One the best places to visit in Wicklow, beautiful green gardens, recommended to visit during the summer of course, you can easily spend hours walking around. Easy to arrive by car but you can get a Dublin bus and walk here. However the Powerscourt waterfall is nowhere nearby you need to drive for about 20mins

So perfect for a day out with family & friends. The Avoca cafe is one of my favorites for good food, while the townhouse provides some stunning places to shop. A walk in the gardens is such an amazing experience everytime I go, and something I look forward to on a clear day every year.

I was disappointed in the gardens, and incredulous that this site bills itself as the third best garden in the world. I've been to gardens that make this place look like your backyard (eg. Villandry in France, Versailles, Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada). The Japanese garden was the best of the lot, but the Walled Garden beds were overrun with weeds and looked like no one had touched them for months. Someone is asleep on the job.

The third most beautiful garden...in the world! (This is not my ranking)

Can't really tell much... This is just a very nice and beautiful garden! It is uniquely situated with the beautiful Wicklow Mountains in the back, which gives it an almost magical sight!

Certainly worth the visit!!

Beautiful garden. Great for a scenic walk and photo ops. Can finish pretty quickly in under 2 hours if you don't stop to take too many pictures. The waterfall is not included In ticket cost. Great on a beautiful day.

Was there to see art exhibition in Design loft. Also demonstration by Artist Paul McCaul. Excellent. We called into cafe at Powerscourt distillery for lunch. Excellent value food very good but the highlight was the service. We met a girl who was friendly, helpful and seemed to enjoy her job she made our visit a very pleasant visit. Also would reccommend the whiskey ice cream. Male assistant also very helpful, nothing seem to be a problem to both of them.

Undoubtedly a well maintained garden and time to spend off the city for a day. Different gardens, different trails and well maintained. Just ditching one star as there were no proper loop walk guidances that would cover all the gardens. Yes but we are free to visit all of them at our own pace and path.

One of the most beautiful places in Ireland, we were in the spring, I think there is even more beauty here during the summer, although the mountainous family with small children and wheelchairs could be uncomfortable. Anyway, I advise everyone to visit at least a cartel, something around the mountains that is actually more impressive

It is a large building access door of a beautiful garden. The cost of access to the gardens is free of charge, so it's not free. The building also contains an exhibition of many flowers and plants typical of Ireland. Nearby there is a parking lot. In front of the building there is a very large golf park whose beauty can be appreciated.
