Nice marble bathroom, nice looking building and location, but. I paid $65 for one of the worst steaks I've eaten in the USA. You pay $20 for a regular glass of wine or $25 for 6 chicken wings. Nothing special about them at $4+ a, that's$2 a bite.i got stuffed into the first room in the isle, a fairly small room. Anyway, for $700 a night you can rent quite the Airbnb. Just think the whole thing is super over priced.

I was there just for drinks and had a great experience. I have also attended in the past the lighting of the tree and am always blown away by there customer service.
I love this hotel so much that my husband and I got marries her all the way from Chicago! There's something about the staff at the Ritz Carlton that will always go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied!
Staff is super nice and view is amazing. Main floor reception areas and restaurants are just beautiful and nicely updated. But.. I did think that the rooms themselves were a bit dated and had a musty smell and at this price point and with the name Ritz Carlton you would think updating to today's standards would be important
A hidden jewel in Laguna Niguel. The Ritz Carlton is located on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. With elegant rooms, spacious lawns, two swimming pools, restaurants and bars, and a magnificent view of the ocean from most places on the property, this hotel sets a new high bar for luxury. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful to all guests. Beach access is very convenient. The hotel offers umbrellas and chairs so guests can relax at the beach. Overall, a delightful stay!
It's a great location, especially for weddings and large events. The hotel is also very well made and looks amazing.

Spectacular views of the beach and ocean. Staff were very accommodating. Very classy. They even had a art installation made of candy. They have rooms with firepits so u can roast smores

Top luxurious beachfront resort with amazing views and decor inside. All staff I encountered here were all very nice, making me wonder how they recruit and hire these people where none of the other hotels I have been to recently are able to do that. As a Titanium member, I was upgraded to am executive suite with a garden view that is very spacious and comfortable. I paid for an upgrade to the Club Level and enjoyed the food and wine presentations throughout the day.
I would STAY AWAY from this hotel while COVID is still an issue. We arrived to a beautiful hotel to find that EVERYTHING within the hotel was closed; all the restaurants, bars etc. There was not even a bar to sit and have a drink. There was ONLY ONE restaurant open that had a very small and strange menu. If you wanted to go to the beach or pool (why else would you go there) there was ZERO STAFF. There wasn't any customer service whatsoever, if you wanted to go to the beach you had to wait for someone in a golf cart to bring down chairs and an umbrella that you then had to carry down the cliff to the beach and set it up yourself. No drink service or really any service to speak of at the pool or beach. We were booked to spend a week there, we made the best decision ever and left after a couple of days and drove to San Diego to stay at the Pendry Hotel & Resorts, what a breath of fresh air; all of the restaurants are open, it isn't a ghost town like the Ritz was, much cheaper, incredible service at the pool, etc. I am sure this place is nice during normal times, however I would AVOID AT ALL COSTS until they are back up and running, they are doing the WORST job of handling the COVID pandemic. Save your money and stay somewhere else. If nothing else, call beforehand and make sure it isn't a ghost town where everything is closed and there isn't any staff.
Great place to catch sunset. Try the chef's grilled cheese sandwich with tomato jam.
Beautiful views from the hotel and the surrounding area. I was there for a wedding and cannot comment on the rooms. However the hotel restaurant has stunning views of the ocean. Great place to go for beautiful ocean views!

We came here for lunch while vacationing in Del Mar. The service was wonderful as usual for a Ritz Carlton with layers of staff taking care of you. We had the miso Alaskan black cod and it was one of the better fish dishes I've had in a while. Simple but cooked to perfection. We also had the lobster tacos our server recommended. The were light and delicious. Ask for a table by the windows, the views are unparalleled.

For a Ritz Carlton property, it should not be an inconvenience to place an order for pool side dining. The burratta they tried to serve us was disgusting. On the menu they had listed heirloom tomatoes. .. let me just attach a photo for you.
Concierge hasn t been helpful. If you re a guest do not depend on this hotel for dinner reservations.

Amazing hotel in the perfect location but don t expect much as a titanium bonvoy member. Still had to wait in an hour + line for dinner at 180 Blu and was upgraded to a room with no working tv on our honeymoon... They didn t even offer any solutions when we informed the front desk of the solution. They ended up moving our room and sending up a bottle of wine but we had to call again and ask for that
I went to Raya for a brunch for my birthday. The food was great. The service was not great. They always served food when we still had plates waiting to be taken. We were hardly ever asked how we were doing. The only saving Grace was us finding a fly in one of our coffee and they comped us a meal because our waitress was no where to be found.
Staff was wonderful. A little lacking in amenities due to covid but still a nice experience.

This is our 4th trip to this lovely hotel. My husband has an annual conference and we look forward to it each year. This year we were upgraded to club level. The staff was exceptional. From remembering our names, delicious food, and outstanding service. Thank you Colleen, Shelly, Penny, and Traci! Also highly recommend the morning yoga class with Cynthia overlooking the majestic views She is the best yoga instructor I have her seen!! She is so knowledgeable in how the body works and makes each session fit your individual needs. She even taught us this wonderful trick to loosen up our neck muscles.
Room was spectacular. Service and amenities were five star superior. Food was excellent and the view from the property is worth the cost of the room by itself. I was beyond impressed with my stay.

Wow! Beautiful location, excellent service, wonderful experience. So this is what it feels like to encounter exceptional people working hard and professionally aware of their guests. A huge majority of the workers smile at you as you walk by. Never experienced such a great venue with a good group of people as much as what the Ritz here specifically at Dana Point-Laguna Nigel had to offer!

Cool surfboard art on the walls. That s a highlight. Views are exceptional but can be found close by without the shoddy execution.
I just began a five night stay w oceanfront room. Facility beautiful. Service deplorable. Guaranteed late check 10 hours of travel 30 minutes late. Thereafter service at bar lounge incredibly slow right after long wait to get room key. Only accomplished that by giving concierge desk 30 bucks cause registration line was again so long. This a m out of breakfast for 3, they forgot one breakfast. No water w breakfast - maybe give water situation was supposed to ask. Fire pit w view of water which was high point didn t work cause it s gas and you need a lighter. No instruction given. Who carries a lighter. Valet situation ridiculous. I almost never post reviews but this is ridiculous for a several thousand dollar stay.

Great place to relax. They have a spa if you need a quick pampering. The sauna is a fail though because it is not hot at all. Just warm.. I didn't even sweat in 30 mins of stay
My favorite part is the restaurant. I love to eat and they have couple of restaurants to choose from depending on your preference. The beach is not that pretty.. just a plain body of water and it is open to the public according to my observation.
The people who work there have excellent Service from Steve in the bar lounge to Tori @ Blue Patio Resturaunt. And of course the Ambiance.
We had afternoon tea. The tea and food was delicious, the staff were very good, and we all enjoyed our visit.
This is true elegance and the Ritz never dissapoints. I have been to the Ritz in Marina Del Rey, San Francisco and this one. This location has a similar feel to the French Riviera, there is just something about it that is very exclusive. I especially liked the beautiful flower display that lavishly greet you when you first enter the lobby and that gracefully drape the hall ways as you go into the dining areas. Very very Lovely. One Last thing to note, if you are at Agate Beach, Pirates Beach, One Thousand Step beach or anywhere along PCH you can catch the Free Trolley on PCH and it drops you off at the Ritz and brings you back. It runs daily. Check the picture of the posted times. I took it during this trip, and the inside of the trolley is all beautiful wood work. I think you'll enjoy the experience.
Pretty epic, the hotel lobby was like a museum so beautiful. The beds in the room could have been a little bigger, but all in all very nice accommodations. I'd definitely stay here again for the location alone.

The beautiful cliff side ocean view and well cared for beach landscaping of plants make this Ritz Carlton one of the most beautiful I ve been to. Walk out of the three story massive resort, onto the public walking path and straight to the beach to enjoy a long white sand beach walk and sunset. Dine overlooking Catalina island and the ocean from Raya the Gimlets were excellent. I was impressed that the $40!resort fee included full access to the day spa, steam and sauna, which was a delightful treat. As always, the service was top notch!
My work takes me here often and it is just a beautiful place to be.
