Beautiful hotel and location. Was there for a wedding and the staff did an amazing job with some outstanding food! A little out of my price range to be able to enjoy their property, in depth. But I don't think anyone would be disappointed if choosing this for your accommodation needs.
I attended Yappy Hour for the first time and was blown away! There were so many people and soooo many dogs. I ordered a beer and wine from the outside bar, high prices but for a good cause. The staff was extremely attentive. And the views, just incredible! I will definitely be attending next month.
Amazing views.
Staff was very attentive and friendly
The food was good and the hotel was very clean and very nice.
The hotel and the staff are absolutely wonderful as well as the view is gorgeous and breathtaking
I wanted to express my appreciation to the spa staff at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. I had the California Dreaming massage. My masseuse was Carrie, who with her magical hands had me feeling more calm and relaxed than I ve felt in months. The manager, Lyn Evins, was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend this beautiful spa for a peaceful respite from the stress and anxiety of this extraordinary holiday season!
The views of the Pacific are fantastic. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel and rooms are dated, think 1980s mirrors and marble.
They leave you alone yet take very good care of you... make sure your comfortable
I really enjoyed the view of the beach. The staff was very friendly. The food and drinks were super overpriced.
Not rating the hotel but the Santa at yappy hour. He was rude and disrespectful to my 3 year old. Would not even let him speak. Sad this is not about the ritz it s about who they hired for Santa.
Elegant ocean views and so relaxing. One of my favorite Ritz properties. Some of the rooms are a bit dated, but overall it's still the awesome Ritz experience.
I have always gone for lunch and enjoyed the entire experience. Whenever I stay at my daughter's home we treat ourselves to the view, food, drinks and other pleasantries. I will never again go at cocktail hour. Not only were the people snobs but the waiters and waitresses were. May I add that I have traveled the world. This was quite uncomfortable.
Elitist and pompous, there is no reason to go here unless you want to flaunt your wealth by buying $10 Coronas and littering on the beach.
A great high end place to have a work event. Views and atmosphere are incredible. Lobby and resteraunt are impressive. Hallways and rooms could use an update here and there but I'd recommend it for a weekend getaway for sure.
awesome view. great service and atmosphere.doggy friendly
Hotel with spectacular ocean view, service not so good, being mediocre especially for the price. First class facilities.
Service is impeccable. Location is phenomenal. They have yoga in the morning, great fitness facility, refined restaurants, and it is pristine.
This hotel is nice. Service is good overall. The extra touches they did for a birthday in our party were nice. The rooms have at least a balcony. Our was facing one of two pools luckily the quiet one. The bed was fine. The beach butler was a nice touch. They gave us an umbrella and chairs. The restaurants were scrumptious and well portioned. The valet was hit or miss wirh service levels.
We always have a good time at the Ritz. The food and quality of service makes it a very enjoyable experience.
Exceptional dining with a spectacular ocean view. Brunch is amazing here.
The catering service was amazing. Bar service was exceptional.
Hotel is a gem, the food , the rooms, the service and the views.
Outstanding location. Just enough clarity to see Catalina by noon.
Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel is going to take your breath away! The moment you step in you re in a dream world! Everything is top notch, beautiful fresh flowers and orchids everywhere, chandeliers, Art Deco, light, bright, windows everywhere with views of the ocean, palm trees, colorful flowers and so much green all around the hotel. You re on the top of the world, on a hill, surrounded by beauty, serenity and joy! The rooms are beautifully decorated, elegant marble bathrooms, balcony, pools and beautiful seating areas to relax and read a book. The best way to describe this place is peace and warmth, elegance and class. A great place to walk around, exercise, walk down to the beach, listen to the ocean roar, watch a sunset from the 180BLU outdoor lounge or from the beach, swim all day in the pool or relax in a jacuzzi, great shopping areas very close by and so much more...
My favorite spots in the hotel are the 180BLU outdoor lounge with the best ocean views, live music, great food and atmosphere and the Raya restaurant for breakfast next to the window overlooking the ocean! The Bar Raya is a great place to unwind in the evening in a cozy chair looking out at the ocean and dreaming away....
I m in love with this place, can you tell...
This gorgeous resort provided the most beautiful site for a wedding. You can literally see the ocean everywhere from the Ritz cliff side view. From the food, service, and the resort itself speaks nothing short of high class. If your up for the price I'd say this place is a royal treat and for a wedding it'd made for the most stunning and memorable venue.
Beautiful location with Oceanside venues and restaurants. I came here for a friend's wedding and the view and greenery was spectacular.
The rooms are average of a luxury hotel and honestly I wasn't super impressed during this stay, which was my first at a Ritz Carlton. Average room size and big bathroom space.
Everything is well kept and clean. Overall a good hotel with a great location and view which probably justifies the price.
We just stopped for a drink, open air bar very very nice and incredible View.
Visited friends staying there - no restaurants were open but order delivery - great sunset views.
The place was very clean and neat. The atmosphere was very beautiful. All the staff members were very polite and cordial. I will definitely be back soon. I will also recommend this place to all of my friends and family. The restrooms were very clean an organized I was very happy with my experience. Thank you to the entire staff for doing an amazing job and providing excellent customer service.
Beautiful resort. The staff is amazing. The holiday decorations are spectacular. Beautiful views. A nice place to visit even if you do not stay there.
The only reason I didn t give it 5 stars is because of covid.
The views are stunning, the service is exceptional.
The restaurants are not all open, and in fact, one of them that is open is by the pool, away from the stunning view.
We stayed on the club level, so there is food/drink available all day. As the restaurants are somewhat crowded, we decided to eat on our balcony from the club level food selections.
The food was pretty good, most of it was cold items. If you have dietary needs (I m dairy free but it s not an allergy), you need to notify them ahead of time. It was very challenging for them to accommodate it. That said, you may not want club level if you have specific needs.
We didn t go to the spa, or pools on this trip, but look forward to going again when more is open.
I got an ocean front fireside room and proposed to my girlfriend in it. It was a great room with a great view despite being there on a very stormy day.
We spent one night there and the staff was great. The bar was nice. The grounds were great. The pools probably could have had the leaves skimmed from it but to be fair we walked by the two pools at about 8am so maybe they hadn't had time to skim them that early after a storm.
It was a great night and a great room to have for my proposal. Would stay there again for sure.
We went to Bar 180 for a night cap. While the setting and view were breathtaking, the cost for three average quality cocktails was high. That's the price one pays for ambiance overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Excellent choice for out of town guests or a romantic evening just be prepared for the "sticker shock"; one glance at the amazing scenary will help loosen your wallet.
Fancy pants place, had a few drinks at the bar and watched the surfers, then went downstairs for the baby shower. Would do it again.
My daughter and I just spent the weekend here and it was heaven! This place is awesome from the phone call I received informing me about the following days street closures from the parade to the day I checked out.
Beautiful place to have an event at first the Boys and Girls Club
Beautiful hotel, excellent service and food was great
Love this place so much it is so dog friendly and if a delight for Christmas day
The location and facilities are fantastic but this luxury hotel has been overrun with dogs. We experienced two clumps of dog poo in the hall outside our door and we stayed only two nights. It is difficult to walk the grounds while navigating dog poo. So sad!
This is my favorite Ritz Carlton in the entire world. It sits on a cliff overlooking the Pacific ocean with majestic views on all sides. I always stop here for lunch when I'm driving between San Diego and Los Angeles. Food and service are both five stars at this resort.
A short walk to great surf or take the golf cart! Excellent service, food and lodging!
Went for Sunday brunch for my birthday and we got the brunch tasting menu. Absolutely superb service and quality of food was most definitely five star worthy of not more! The ocean view from the brunch dining area will leave you speechless! Highly recommend!
I'm a big Ritz fan. This is one of Marriot's top properties (alongside Cayman). It's quite impressive (like GC). Unfortunately, the UAE entourage was in the house, pretty much dominating the whole experience for the week. Security detail was extremely rude and threatening. Marriot seemed to support them. No iPhone or Canon pictures of my daughter swimming with the future princess of Dubai! Why they couldn't splurge for a private beach is beyond me.
fantastic experience, beautiful setting thank you Ritz
I attended a conference, didn t stay at hotel, views were stunning
It really is shocking to leave a two star review for a Ritz-Carlton property but in this caseI think it is merited. Firstly, let me tell you what is good about the property. The location and the staff. He is off the charts amazing. However, they have let the property go to a point where I think the only way you can describe it is that it looks tired. You can look in corners of the door jams and see dirt or peeling paint. Something you might expect for another hotel and not think much of it but for a Ritz-Carlton property it is really unheard of. I was only here for a da I made an appointment with the spa for a 30 minute massage. The masseuse was excellent however when I went to shower, one of the two showers was not working and the other one remaining only served lukewarm water. There s nothing worse than taking a warm shower.. I was standing there naked wondering whether I should just do it or go back all the way to the room. I like the latter. I let both the assistant know and the supervisor. I made it clear that I thought the experience was horrible. Nevertheless, they presented me with the bill for the massage for $300 including recommend a 25% gratuity. It being on a beach property is meaningful to you then I have a recommend this place but if being on a Ritz-Carlton getting the service she would expect I would avoid this. There are other examples I can get but this is enough for you to know.
This place is unbelievably beautiful. Stop in and walk around. The dining room has an incredible view and it's worth paying the price just to be there.
Nice place for entire family with stunning ocean views!
Super, super, super duper amazing resort!! Best in class service. Impeccable grounds with world class cuisine. Something for everyone. Well worth the rates. Kelly at the bistro was outstanding. And above all, pet friendly.
Spa was great. Accommodations as expected. Valet parking was disastrous.
Beautiful setting. Great service. Just a very beautiful place.
Most hotels are standard and not much different from the other but, what sets it apart is it staff. The staff here was extremely helpful and accommodating. As I roamed the campus every single staff person greeted me with not only a smile but kind and inviting words. I felt extremely welcomed and would not hesitate to return and recommend a stay to a friend.
We stayed on the club level. It is a very nice option if you plan to be near the hotel (beach or pool) because of the continuous complimentary food service in the club level lounge. The resturants didn't have much variety, if you don't like steak you are out of luck but the club lounge has more variety. Maid service was twice daily. There was a dvd player in the room and you can rent movies from the front desk. The walls were pretty thin and we were woken up multiple times by a baby crying. Overall a nice clean place but I expected more from it being a Ritz in terms of customer service (front desk always had a huge line) and resturant selection.
The Ritz-Carlton is a very nice peaceful place to stay, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and close to Dana Point it is the mix of beach Town and Luxury. Everyone and everything was great! Access to beach is simple and easy and the ability to rest and relax is easy to do here. The dining options are pleasurable that are fun and unique. I can't say enough about the staff, everyone made my wife and I feel very special and cared for while here for the weekend. Thank you.
