Perhaps best beachfront location under Marriott umbrella. They even have shuttled access and beach butler, unlike Half Moon Bay property. That said, the property is old and it is showing its age. Some not so graceful (old carpeting in rooms, etched marble bath where gunk accumulates over time) while others are still in enjoyable condition. Gets crowded during the weekend w parties and receptions.

We have stayed at Ritz Carltons all over the world and this has to be one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at. We definitely will be back!

Went to eat at Raya for lunch. Great food fantastic service! The hotel itself was pretty grand. Right by the beach!

Great rooms and views. Especially enjoyed the huge firepit they had during the night when it would get chilly.

We had Lunch at the Raya restaurant. The fresh sea Scallops and fresh cod were very good. Service was just ok. We needed to ask several times for water and bread with our meal. Overall, the people were very friendly and accommodating.

Great place for business lunches. Easy to head up from San Diego for meetings with Orange County Clients. The food and service is consistantly excellent and the view is gorgeous.

Celebrated a wedding there. place is breath taking and extremely well maintained. everything was perfect.

The view from the 180 blu is like a Captians Chair! I usually go for a drink or two but occassionally I'll have lunch! Alittle expensive but what do you expect!

We went there for Valentine's day and ate at Raya restaurant. It was super delicious and super expensive. Overall was a very nice experienced though. Also the beach right down the hill is very nice.

Great service in all departments. The location ia great, whether you venture to north or south laguna, coming back to The Ritz-Carlton was a breeze.

My Wife and I recently stayed here and we had a great time! Our room had an incredible view, the access to the beach was very easy, and Salt Creek was also right below for us to cruise around as well. Above all else, the service was top-notch. We had a snafu with our car keys where the valet lost them and we had to deal with some delays in leaving and ultimately had to replace everything that was on the key chain. That would normally be a massive headache had it not been for the management taking action and following up on their promise to make things right. Knowing that they way they treat their guests is even better than the quality of the hotel and location itself should be very reassuring to anyone looking to stay here.

Our visit to the Ritz-Carlton was a fantastic experience! They had very helpful stuff and made our visit a trip to remember. We will definitely be coming back again!!

So disappointing! The only thing good about our experience was the 5 star customer service we received from all the staff we encountered. We expected so much more from a Ritz Carlton. Our peaceful and serene beach getaway was not what we received, so bad that we chose to check out a day early.

The room was worn out and could use a update. The chair arms were peeling, the carpet was old and "security" lock appeared to have been ripped out of the wall before. The hallway and seating areas near the room were beat up and a cushion missing from the couch.

Before 8:30am our quiet morning was jarred by a loud drilling, hammering and scraping noise that didn't let up for hours. There was a crowd gathered near our room that was so loud in their conversation that we could make out parts of their discussion. The loud morning noise drug on until after 11am. There was nothing peaceful and serene about our stay.

The hotel was a terrible disappointment and I do not recommend it. It is is need of some serious upgrades. I will stay at the Montage or Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort again for a much better experience.

A beautiful property with fantastic employees. The view of the beach is fabulous and there is access down to the beach from yhe hotel.

This place ruins your Ritz expectation.

Staff is superficially nice. Rooms are out-dated (fire place and TV are broken) and they are small. Hallway is so narrow you are shoulder to shoulder to oncoming person.

The only positive is the Salt creek beach in walking distance.

I recommend you not trying this hotel.

This resort is absolutely spectacular!!!! The staff makes this property unbelievably unique and special. The hotel is located right on the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and the amenities are second to none!! The rooms are gorgeous with views to die-for!! Again, look no further is you want a 5-Star experience from start to finish!!!

One of the most beautiful places in the area. Great ambience at the bar overlooking the Pacific, hotel is nicely decorated, rooms are lacking in consideration of their extremely high cost, food at both restaurants tends to be stellar. Staff is generally very professional and accommodating.

The services at the resort was excellent. It has beach access and there is shuttle/golf cart that you can use to ride to the beach. The pool, spa and fitness rooms were clean and well maintained and managed. The beach view was very calming and serene.

The Ritz Xmas tree lighting is a great event to attend.!

The hotel building and infrastructure themselves are rather aged and aging and they show it however Management has done a nice job of keeping it reasonably clean and presentable, as much as possible anyway. Service is terrific and food is great. The views and the location can t be beat.

Attended a birthday party for our good friend turning the Big 40! The venue was beautiful! Beautiful view of the beach, and amazing food! Their dessert was also amazing to end the night! This hotel is one of the nicest I've ever seen! I give them 5 Stars! I would have given more if I could. It was a very intimate evening! I like the fact that they were able to minimize our room size by our capacity! What a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding, anniversary, graduation party, etc. It was just amazing! Thanks you for a great experience!

What a location! Playing beach volleyball with La Vida Laguna and watching the dolphins swim by. Surfers heaven here.

I'm not typicmy a person to be an overnight guest at an establishment such as the Ritz Carlton. I had the opportunity to attend a law firm retreat and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The food was great, the service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly. Now, I will give them disclaimer that I didn't have to pay for anything this weekend so that does have a large impact on my positive opinion, but from all respects, this is a great place to stay.

Try to reserve a table around sunset time! It's amazing. The food is as good as the view.

For the price really it was underwhelming. Location amazing, service very good, rooms worth about 100 bucks a night. They need to renovate.

The best part of this Ritz is the location, with breathtaking views of the Pacific. The lobby, common areas, and rooms are elegantly appointed. The decor is sophisticated without being stuffy. And true to Ritz Carlton form, the staff is helpful and friendly. Pitfalls include: a pool with no ocean views; a cluster of wedding activity on the weekends that force guests to reroute themselves due to blocked pathways; a pitiful dining experience at the bar. For the price and the prestige of the brand, such hiccups shouldn't exist.

Broken glass all over patio and room floor of three rooms. I got a piece of glass in my foot while walking in the room/patio. I was there with family including in children it could have been a disaster if they had gotten glass in their feet.to celebrate my 70th birthday. My foot bled and ached me the whole stay plus it is still sore and aching. My birthday stay was ruined. I was injured/sick for over two weeks after the accident of glass in my foot. I am lucky i didn't get an infected foot/tetanus. No genuine feed back from the Ritz Carlton, no offer to make things right! Four months later Still no response from management from hotel regarding my injury at the hotel. Don't stay there!!!

MY HUSBAND AND I STAYED OVER THIS PAST THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY WEEKEND. I TOLD THE MANAGER THAT I HAD TO WASH THE SCUFFS ALL OVER THE WALLS MYSELF, ASK FOR RUGS TO COVER THE RUST IN THE RESTROOM FLOOR, CHANGE THE CHAISE BECAUSE IT HAD A HOLE AND MISSING BUTTON. WHEN WE ALL WENT TO THE POOL ON FRIDAY AROUND 4PM, EVERYTHING LOOKED LIKE A MESS. ALL THE USED TOWELS ALL OVER, FOOD FROM PREVIOUS PEOPLE ALL OVER, I MEAN I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A MESS AT A RESORT HOTEL LIKE THIS. IT WAS SUCH A MESS, I HAD TO GRAB MY OWN TOWELS AND CREATE OUR OWN SPACE FOR COMFORT. I SAW TWO MANAGERS AND TOLD THEM, (AFTER ANOTHER VISITOR MENTIONED THE SAME THING TO ME) TO PLEASE CLEAN THE MESS FOR US AND THEY SAID, 'OK' AND JUST LEFT WITH NOTHING DONE. WHEN FINALLY I SEE ONE GIRL PICKING UP AFTER I COMPLAINED I ASKED HER WHAT HAPPENED HERE AND SHE SAID THAT THEY ARE SHORT STAFFED. AT A HOTEL LIKE YOURS, I DON'T EXPECT THIS KIND OF SERVICE. IT WAS LIKE SPENDING THE WEEKEND AT A SECOND RATE HOTEL. I MUST SAY, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN OTHER AREAS WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT BUT NOT HAPPY WITH THE SURROUNDING ITEMS JUST LISTED. NOT SURE IF YOU WILL EVER MAKE CHANGES HERE BUT IT REALLY MAKES YOU LOOK BAD. WE HAVE A LOT OF FOLLOWERS AND ITS NOT GOOD FOR THEM TO HEAR THIS. THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE THIS WITH YOU.
