Excellent service and food. A very strategic position to visit Berlin
Too bad breakfast service is too slow and I had to wait 15 minutes for an espresso. The girl at the bar treated me really bad and sarcastic when I asked her for an espresso.
had it not been for rhat, I would have given five stars

We had a fantastic stay here - the Ritz Carlton experience was simply amazing. The hotel is right in the middle of the city - you can walk to Tiergarten in about 5 minutes, there's a section of the Berlin Wall right outside, and you can get to most of the suburbs within 30 mins by train (or a very leisurely 1 hour walk).

However, the best of all was the service from the hotel. We were traveling with our toddler and the staff there made everything easier for us. This was especially evident with the food. Even though the hotel was renovating, they still managed to provide a top notch breakfast service.

The most memorable service came from Katya, who not only remembered what we liked to drink and eat every morning, but also got our son some children's plates and bowls, which made our son extremely happy. Finally, Katya also arranged to get a gift basket for our son, full of amazing snacks that he loves! Even after we've left, he is still asking to see Katya!

Thank you for an extremely memorable stay!

Still Phenomenal Service, Ambiance & Location

Still Phenomenal Service, Ambiance & Location

Before my stay earlier this year, I previously stayed at this property in 2016. It was wonderful then, and was the same this time around.

This property does justice to the Ritz brand. The service, room quality, food and beverage, and overall feel is the way it should be.

For the fitness fanatics out there, you should know that the workout facilities, pool, and spa are very nicely maintained and always spotlessly clean.

And, for those who enjoy a spectacular breakfast, head down to the Pots restaurant. Rita is an extremely attentive and caring hostess (I have no idea how she remembered my name after only one day!), and if you're in the mood for lively banter and engaging conversation, look for Noor. He's a high-energy server who went out of his way repeatedly, not only for me but for the others I saw him tend to.

I can't say enough about the breakfast team at Pots. They really are wonderful. Whoops! I nearly forgot about David (in the black suit). I think he's a manager at Pots. He was especially helpful and polite during my stay and deserves mention.

Lastly, during a previous visit, my son and I were greeted by Terrence at the front door. He's from North Carolina and, during my recent stay, was on his way to retirement after decades with the Ritz. In over 30 years of business travel, Terrence has been one of the most memorable professionals I've run across.

Overall, my stay proved to be a great experience.

I moved into a deluxe corner room, a room with a window around the corner. The carpeted room is pleasantly large and offers all the comforts one would expect from this house. The bathroom with shower and bathtub is spacious and the bed is super comfortable and cozy. The plugs for the hair dryer are installed a bit hidden, but I cracked the puzzle. On both sides of the bed there is USB charging for mobile phones, although unfortunately not much power comes out. Better to use your own plugs that you can plug in near your desk. There is also a clock radio on both sides. There are also fold-out reading lamps above the bed. With the operation of the light switch you can experience the try-and-error method. I turned off the air conditioning. The closet is big enough. If you need a 2XL bathrobe, you can order it quickly and easily via the service. The spa area can only be used to a limited extent. Only the fitness area and indoor pool are available. The whirlpool is covered and the sauna is locked. The reasons are now known to everyone. The pool is not that big, but has heated water, a waterfall and a counter current system. The weight room is designed very generously. For pool and fitness you have to agree usage times at the reception. The room card is activated for these areas for this period.
The bar with jazzy chill music was well attended in the evening. I took part in the #discover your city campaign because, to my delight, this luxury hotel had also offered this campaign. The accompanying menu in the Pots Restaurant exceeded all expectations. I uploaded the dishes to the Google Pots Restaurant site. Breakfast, which is also included in the room price and dinner (for the promotion), costs 37 alone ... or 39 ? In any case, there is a lot going on here, as you would expect from a luxury hotel. Here, too, the service is very friendly and helpful with everything. I uploaded photos of it to food. It was completely relaxed to enjoy breakfast in a quiet atmosphere. Most guests arrive for breakfast after 9:00 a.m.
Overall, the stay for me was also impressive because I always wanted to experience the hotel from the inside. The best hotel on the square actually did not disappoint. Thank you for the nice weekend.

Service was excellent in all interactions we had with the staff. The room was very clean. The best part of the stay was definitely the breakfast. Options were abundant and everything we had was delicious. Will be staying here again.

Remarkable hotel centrally located in Berlin. Exactly what you would expect from a Ritz in terms of quality of service and accommodations. Very good overall experience, however I was not wow'd. Would I come back? probably.

They said that at the Berlinale they lower the level of the hotel, so breakfasts and dinners, and all the food is very monotonous, there is no choice. The room is nice, the hotel is beautiful, but the luxury is not in Russian, but in German .

Nice hotel with great location but as so many other high end "classic" hotels it is in need of some serious upgrade and modernization. Pet hate: wifi on the room was flaky and did not work 90% of the time.

Not Ritz-Carlton quality.

Not Ritz-Carlton quality.

The bad:
Rooms not adequately air-conditioned (even turning off as we slept due to motion detector on thermostat).
Bed linens, although luxurious were too heavy considering the high temperature in the room.
Bed linens were not changed throughout 4 day stay (despite hole in duvet cover).

The good:
Staff were courteous.
POTS restaurant was incredible.
Location is convenient for walking and to U & S Bahn.
Rooms are nicely decorated with good lighting. The rooms and hotel look and smell clean.

Be sure to visit the hotel bar, spend half an hour studying the cocktail list, half an hour can not decide, sinfully expensive and just as sinfully fantastic drink order, then half an hour to enjoy this sinful pleasure and then again from scratch! <3

Very courteous service, great organization. Friendly, happy employees. Top class hotel, but every guest is treated the same, no matter whether well or less well-heeled. Very nice. And very kid friendly

I did a guided tour there from my studies and I'm impressed. The guide was very competent and it was interesting to get to know a four star superior hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but mostly for people who are in Berlin for business reasons.

The spark did not come over me!

The spark did not come over me!
Cigare lounge was very cool as an ambience, it was not deffinitive Cozy!
Bar area was very loud, but the toilet bingo, hall decoration does not know what to express, brass kitchens pans sorts !?

Really wonderful hotel.

Really wonderful hotel.
Some rooms need to be improved so that the 5 ***** are justified.
We spent great nights there and also experienced important events, such as our engagement.
The hotel and the staff were there to help and were really warm and accommodating.
We feel very comfortable and almost had a homely atmosphere.
The breakfast in the morning is amazing, it is a bit more expensive but incredibly delicious and extra requests are happily carried out.
The perfume bar is really good too and the cocktails are the best we've ever had.
We can really only sing praises of this hotel.
And maybe we will celebrate our wedding there too.

5 star luxury hotel.

5 star luxury hotel.

Ideal location, central, view to Postdamer Platz.
Spacious room recently redone, excellent king size bedding, large bathroom, tub and shower.
The pool has also been rejuvenated but has lost on the surface.

Not easy to get WIFI.

Mediocre restaurant: one star less!

You have to find the right receptionist because if one of them is very very friendly, the others will surely train who will be the most obnoxious.

20 meters from the entrance, there are still remains of the Berlin Wall, 5 erected sides and on the ground a line of cobblestones still crosses the city on both sides as a reminder.
.

This is my favorite hotel in Berlin.
Excellent value for money like many in this city !!!

Even in the difficult Corona times, the Ritz team is very understanding, hard-working and flexible. Even if things do not always work perfectly, also due to official restrictions, a customer-friendly solution is sought. The rooms have been stylishly renovated and are also ideal for longer stays.

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in September and the service were excellent from Terry who helped us with our luggage, when we arrived at the hotel, to Robert Lee who greets visitors outside, to the front desk, the security personnel, housekeepers; breakfast was great and the service were wonderful. I want to mention especially, Ms. C. Graber (or Gilbert?) at the concierge desk, she was warm, kind and personable, she even got me the address and the directions to the great Marlene Dietrich's cemetery.

I stayed 3 nights for work, a 5-star hotel really up to expectations (which is not obvious). Wonderful pool, I would have stayed for many more nights just because of the relaxing atmosphere that is perceived inside the hotel. Extremely helpful staff, an experience to try in Berlin.

Well staff well has been renovated is also good but the fixtures in the toilets from the cheap provider well the same we build in Sozi apartments .... So in the whole no longer the scratch as you're used to ... a shame

Luxury hotel on Potsdamer Platz. I've never stayed there (I'm at home here), but the restaurant, the brasserie - that's great. Perfect very friendly service and not even exorbitant prices. For an evening at the bar after a good dinner perfect! Reservations! For the car there is a valet service.

Very good hotel. A little outdated but still good. Service was excellent. The view was great. Pool and sauna also top. The valet parking and Conciergen were 1A. Very good beds or mattresses and large bathroom. We had the upgrade room and were overall very satisfied. This hotel has occupied the 1st place of my favorite hotels in Berlin.

If you don't keep up with the times, you keep up with the times. Have been over 10 years about once p.a. been. Overall always satisfied with the price-performance ratio.
The last stay was unfortunately a collection of disappointing little things, which all in all point to the 'short-term profit maximization' at the expense of the 'sustainable hotel quality'.
Missing repairs, failure to modernize, poor quality food (breakfast is no longer as good as it was three years ago) ...

Much KleinKlein unfortunately turns 5 into 4 stars.

Except for the professional staff at the entrance and reception, which are 5 stars.

Pity!

Historic hotel in Berlin. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The interior design and the served food is extraordinary. I participated for an event, unfortunately haven't spent a night at this hotel.

We visited the hotel on a business trip. The room was very nice and the staff friendly. However, a phobia about citrus fruit juice emerged. When the orange juice took over, we were kicked out. Tuuurn Up. It was just orange juice. So don't ask what kind of juice. Just orange juice

A really excellent day

A really excellent day
a really excellent night,
an incredible morning
an even better breakfast!

So really no defects!

The only thing I would have to say would be that the TV program preview was apparently incorrect. But who would want to watch TV in such a room !?

The bar offers incredibly good cocktails that are really fair in terms of price.

We had the Bellevue Suite, which definitely doesn't have to hide in size and features!

Thanks to the Ritz team!
