Breakfast not recommended. Coffee went out and some others too. Suite was ok, if the sea gulls on our roof, directly above us would not be. Did not know that birds make so much noise at night ...

A lovely, upscale hotel with a historical appearance. Rooms were comfortable and clean. I didn't like that there were no "do not disturb" signs to use on the door - housekeeping would come by each day whether you liked it or not. However, the staff were always kind and professional. The breakfast buffet was very hearty and filling with a great variety of items. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit to Liverpool.

Attended function as a DJ alongside a live band The Grace. Really nice hotel. Very impressive decor and cool, helpful staff. Will try to stay as a guest next time I'm back in Liverpool.

Was a great Hotel, would maybe return another time but the bed was off putting uncomfortable sadly not getting a good nights sleep which made next day a struggle. Apart from a couple of niggles, was great. Staff beyond 10/10, great, as was breakfast. Evening meal was nice, not great

I took my boyfriend & family here for dinner in the restaurant. The food was great but the service was terrible. Plates left on our table after eating for well over half an hour. Had to ask for them to be taken away despite the restaurant being almost empty. Still some plates were not removed. My main came & was completely wrong so had to be sent back. Was informed it would be 15mins but it was over half an hour & had to remind them. Only when I said to cancel it I was told it was ready! Our main meal plates also were not cleared away & had to be asked again! At no stage did anyone ask how our meals were or ask if we needed drinks despite there being about 3 staff on duty with only about 3 other tables of single men on them. I can not rate this place it is embarrassing how bad the service is here which is a shame because the food is very good! A lot higher class than the service! Food feels like it should be in a more upmarket restaurant which is a shame because whoever prepares these meals you can tell puts effort in with presentation but the waiting on staff just need some training.

We stayed in a junior suite on a Friday and Saturday night about a week ago. The room itself was large and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The location is good. Those were the positives. Negatives: The walls were so thin that we could carry on a conversation with the guest next door. We could hear every foot step and voice above us. The room was located near the front desk in the lobby so we had all the noise there to contend with. When asked to change rooms we told only a double room a available. We decided to tough it out the first night. When we arrived the key card scanner was broken so had to let into our room by staff. The first morning there was a odor of cigarette smoke in our room. Non smoking hotel. It seem to dissipate so we didn t pay much attention. The second morning the smell of cigarettes was so bad we checked out early. I informed the front desk and was told they would inform housekeeping. No concern or apology expressed. I would not recommend this hotel.

It was OK. The service was a bit slow but otherwise good.

We love.. The Richmond Hotel, the rooms are lovely and comfy, the staff are amazing, the last time I stayed, I wasn't so good and they said go back to the room and have a lie down for a bit, the staff couldn't do enough for me, Thank you, hence we booked another night away with them for my birthday.

Seemed very nice! Everywhere was clean and the staff were very helpful.

From walking in the door to walking out the door to go home the staff could not do enough for us, some staff spoke to us like they knew us and made us feel very welcome. We stopped for two nights in a classic double room the room was a little small but nice and cosy. We had breakfast in bed the first morning there and it was on time and hot everything we asked for was given to us. Both nights we were there the bar was open to guests till 2am they have a great selection of spirits to try we didn't try the food at night but the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing somewhere you would ho to start the evening and end your night the bar was somewhere to relax after a busy day. Decor was pretty much black and white there was a piano in reception although hadn't heard it playing. If I had to complain of anything at all it would be that there wasnt any parking at the hotel, however, there is parking across the road (not secure) or a car park a couple of streets back 2minute walk. We would stay here again but next time in a suite.

At first a really tastefully decorated hotel with friendly staff. When we came into our Juniorsuite first impressed the great impressions until we realized that except for the kitchen there was not a single window and the view from the kitchen was not. Acted like a Kellerhinterhof.Wer so at night can not sleep completely in the dark or wants - a Nachtlicht einpacken.Vieles looks noble but on closer inspection much mended and in need of repair. From 6 o'clock in the morning you can hear the pipe whistle - also a deduction worth and unfortunately the breakfast is not the screamer. I was lucky that I got a coffee
Shortly thereafter, the coffee machines and the variety at the breakfast buffet was very manageable. We were only 2 nights there ... that was good.

In a very convenient location the hotel seems to be a hidden gem. The rooms are very large and well appointed with some rooms having a full fitted kitchen. Large comfortable beds, hot waterfall showers makes you feel like a special guest. The food in the restaurant is excellent as is breakfast with everything on offer. There is no car park, however there is parking in the near Q park at a reduced rate. Overall excellent hotel with friendly staff and well appointed rooms.

Not a good hotel. Dirty, moldy corners in the shower and a wedding party.

Pretty hotel, the rooms are vintage with a modern twist and the huge tv screen is a bonus. However, housekeeping was rude. I left my key inside my room and she was about to clean my room but stopped when I asked if she could open the door so I could retrieve my keys but she barely replied back and just shook her head. I found that rude especially when she was just about to go in to clean the room!
The receptionists are really friendly anyway, and the lobby is very pretty.

Not far from city center, lovely staff , rooms spotless, buffet breakfast fantastic.

Nice old building that is kept clean with friendly staff. Some areas dated but made the most of.

Great room for a large room suitable for a large bed pair not suitable for a pair + 1 that a small bed and a painful back

The hotel and breakfast staff were fabulous but the day we left I forgot my brand new watch in the bathroom as I'd removed it to shower , I was in the airport when I realised what I done , I emailed hotel straight away . when I got home I rang and re-rang the hotel to tell them what I'd done but they said no watch was found !!! I removed it to shower and didn't put it back on . so there's no where else it could be .... Very annoyed and upset over the lack of honesty of the cleaning staff ! It wasn't an expensive watch it was a gift from my trip ....

Excellent value for money, well maintained, good location, clean.

Area outside looks abit rundown, hotel itself is ok, parts could do with modernising, the room was a decent size with nice walk in shower, decent size tv, could have done with a lick of paint, A/C didn't work so room was abit warm, breakfast was fine, just what you would expect from a buffet, a few items had run out and took them a while to replenish, staff seem friendly, overall its an ok hotel if you want to stop in city centre, we were watching a show at liverpool empire and its less than 10min walk so its ideal for that but doubt we will stop here again

It is with a heavy heart that our views of the hotel are not the best, but possibly because the current times the hotel shelter some family/homeless people, nothing against it, but full paying guests should be informed, before hand, we have experienced some brief encounters with people with no regards of the "social distance" or comply with the instructions of "only one family" in the lift.
Needless to say we were a bit disappointed with some of the issues we experienced during out first time visiting this beautiful City of Liverpool. However, I also need to express on a more positive note some of the good things this hotel has to offer. The room was clean and well enough appointed with a small balcony. Although we did have a few issues with the room I would hope that the points raised with the Manager, Joe will be rectified. The breakfast was fantastic!!! We loved the table service and the choice on the menu was very good. Nuno and Bianca were amazingly helpful and very professional as was Jade, (thanks for the coffees). The two Spanish girls, Amanda and Carolina on the reception desk were also very helpful. The hotel was well situated and great for getting out and about in Liverpool. If the issues in the hotel were to improve then we would return.

Room and service was brilliant. The spa is across the road, but that wasn't a big deal.
Our room seemed to have a pipe in there that all the water from upstairs flowed through. A few times in the night we were woken up by the sound of rushing water.
On the bright side the bed was really comfy!

Stayed at the Richmond on 16/07/20 was met by a lovely man Kevin at reception who looked after us all was made up with the stay and his hospitality wouldn t 10/10 recommended :)

Great suite, all clean and everything you could possibly need! Had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious! Friendly staff too.

The service was good, the staff there are brilliant. The layout and location is very good for anybody wanting to stay in Liverpool for the night. The food was massively disappointing though. There was 14 of us that all agreed. Maybe the menu needs an update because the food could and should be better for such a nice hotel.

Lovely room, the staff were attentive and helpful, and the cleanliness was exceptional.

Clean rooms, Welcome reception at the desk, friendly staff and reasonably priced meals.

Beds and shower were nice, but that was about it, we had to change room 4 times because they didn't seem to understand what a twin room was, we got send to a double room twice and once to a room where the airconditioning was broken wich was replaced by a aircooler, note that this is absolutely not a airconditioning .
2 stars for the lack of service, a high rated hotel should know better...

Stayed here for one night,was absolutely lovely,breakfast was fab.Would recommend it.

Groupon visit, advertised a sample menu, only 1 item was on the actual menu. If they had shown the actual menu I would not have visited. Awful menu, if I hadn't been with a group I would have paid for the drinks and left and not eaten.
Wonderful staff however, attentive without being intrusive

The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms are clean and elegant. Unfortunately, the old building suffers from moisture here and there as I have noticed a distinctive smell in the bathroom (which is otherwise lovely). If it hadn't been for that slight but noticable smell, I'd have given five stars.

A bit tough round the edges, not the luxury hotel it makes out.

Not a bad hotel but expensive for what it is. Should be better than the Primier inns. The bar open all night ran out of beers on Fri and Sat _ no excuse really! Just scrapped through with 4 stars. Service was generally good.

Very well located, very spacious and comfortable rooms, only breakfast was not the best.

I've been staying at the hotel Sunday to Friday since last October, the apartment rooms are fantastic value., each slightly different but always comfortable and well equipped. Staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble they make it a home from home. Conveniently Located only a few streets from the city centre and Lime Street station. Thoroughly recommended

Stay was ok and room was fine just a couple of niggles - air con didn't work, no bath plug and hot and cold taps on bath the wrong way round! However staff were really canny and buffet breakfast yummy. But do take note of the traffic light system at breakfast time!!!

Great location especially when I discovered a craft beer bar at end of the street

The Richmond is an incredible stay ,no queries went unanswered, incredible helpful team of staff

Not impressed, very tiny room up in the gods only skyline window, husband kept hitting head on ceiling. NO heating, brought a fan heater, but freezing bathroom. NOT offered another room. corridor by room pitch black, lights not working, had to use phone for light to put key fob in. First ones did not work. Up steep stairs to room. No Prosecco in room or water. When I asked downstairs and complained about it, we were treated with indifference. Room looks nothing like pictures of a classic double, as advertised. Only plus, comfy bed. Looked like room been made up in hurry. Sad as anniversary gift from my children.

Had a fantastic night at the Richmond, room lovely and great meal but what makes the hotel fantastic is the staff, who were so friendly and made you feel so special, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff were so friendly and met all our needs.they changed our sparkling water for still water at 1am and arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be brought from a local florist whilst we were out.all of this was done with a smile on their faces!

Excellent service and accomodation. Fair and affordable price. Definite recommendation!

Fantastic hotel helpful friendly staff would recommend to anyone

We were given a ground floor apartment type room which was very dark. We would have preferred a room on a different level not overshadowed by the adjacent building. We were disturbed by someone throwing takeaway food at our window from the adjacent narrow road (not in hotels control) but fortunately the window did not break. The lighting installation was a problem.

Also someone opened the door to our room late evening which caused us to have a bit of a sleepless night.

We have stayed at Best Western hotels before and have always enjoyed our stay.

Room service non existent especially when wedding on.. even reception was hard to contact from room phone ie them not picking up phone , room was good apart from the shower . In a good location bit overall I wont be going back for a stay , premier inn much better for you're buck.. after speaking to the manager they were kind enough to send a bottle of wine up in the end but to little to late for all the stres they caused ..

Disappointed with this hotel as advertised facilities were closed mainly the restaurant and bar. The room was very noisy due to a partying in the restaurant where we expected to dine. We should have been made aware of this and we would have gone to another hotel disappointed John Pattinson

All style no substance. How can a place called The Richmond run out of sausages at breakfast. Little things annoyed me about my stay and I'm not usually too fussy. Things like having no iron in the room and asking and having to ask for one twice, which took over an hour to be brought up.

Located in the city center, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have been refurbished. The price is quite high.

Had a lovely stay here - water/waste pipes can be a little noisy but room was very clean, very spacious and so central to where we wanted to go. Very modern decor and copies amounts of hot water when needed made this a very comfortable stay

Was only there for a short while to meet up, seemed ok enough but nothing special.

Character hotel with modern elements. Friendly, helpful staff. Mattress in our room was shot at. Possibly out-dating the building itself. Bathroom could do with some re-grouting around the shower. Decent choice at buffet breakfast.

Stayed here a few times with work. Nice hotel. Rooms are clean, double height ceilings in most. Good breakfast. Short walk to nearby restaurants. really close to train station. Really quiet side road. absolutely no complaints.

Staying here is great and i will recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Liverpool..

Business trip, hotel was convenient central location. Large room? Nice bathroom.

Quite nice hotel, but there could be some things improved. When we were there the coffee machine at breakfast didn t work and the room was clean, but the carpet got burned with an iron by a former guest.

The food and staff were really nice..The only thing that seemed wrong were what the staff wore..They were all in jeans that seemed out of character to the nice hotel surroundings.They actually looked scruffy.

Went for a meeting so didnt stay over so I don't know what rooms are like. Nice bar area but breakfast was terrible
