The staff were very attentive and lovely made our stay very enjoyable.
Staff were rude, parking expensive, not suitable for kids
They need new carpets so watch out so you do not trip over them.
It is very cold in the restaurant mostly so remember to wear a coat while eating if you decide to dine in here which is not a good idea since there are better options in Liverpool. For the price you pay for afternon tea you are better off anywhere else in any other restaurant -- Glass was left in the conference room (shards of glass, actual shards of glass) where apparently many people choose to have their weddings at. Glasses were dirty and not properly cleaned, same with the cups and the saucers as well. An overrated hotel in the heart of Liverpool on one of the dodgiest backstreets of the city. Street needs a proper jetwash as it has countless remains of cigarettes and some dogs seems to want to use it as a personal toilet too.
I stayed here on Friday night with my partner and we were a little disappointed. First of all the room description on booking.com doesn t match the real thing...there was no bath, no WiFi and the room certainly wasn t as big as advertised. When we arrived the smell of cannabis in reception was quite strong which I commented on to the receptionist and she ignored. I am not surprised to smell this in the streets but in the hotel is a bit of a surprise. The room was basic and clean. The location is handy for shopping and restaurants. I wouldn t stay here again.
Nicely decorated restaurant. Very good food on a set menu. Excellent service and excellent value
Great place, food was so nice, atmosphere and decor very nice, would highly recommend
Extremely friendly staff, very helpful, room was beautiful and so was my bed! Definitely recommend...
Stayed in one of the apartments, lovely apartment, would highly recommend!
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. One side had a dip like a giant pot hole!
The bathroom smelt off sewage.
The apartment was of need of a makeover.
The staff were very polite.
Very poor standard, not 4star. I booked a Junior Suite for a special break for my husband s birthday. On arrival there was a wedding reception taking place, spilling out on to the reception area and the street making access difficult with luggage. Receptionist I think was new, didn t seem to know how to put newspapers on booking.
On entering Suite , up in the eaves, we noticed there wasn t a sofa, which was specified on web site, no wardrobe just a black metal rail, and a badly scratched table and chairs. The kitchen Units hadn t been wiped down, sticky and bits of food on them, and a cheese grater that was rusty ! But, the worst thing was the FILTHY shower cubicle- black sealant with orange/pink bacteria growing between the tiling, particularly around the bottom, the front of the shower tray also looked dirty, I wiped it with a damp cloth and off came more filth, not difficult to clean! Absolutely the most disgusting shower I ve ever seen. The tap lever on wash basin moved the whole tap body. Awful. I went to reception and showed a very apologetic staff member called Chris the problem. He immediately showed me another 2 suites, one with the same shower problem though not quite as bad, the second was a lovely suite with a SOFA! Shower not as bad, but had a bath to use instead. This hadn t been cleaned, greasy scum at the bottom, ugh. Heated towel rail didn t work either. We stayed in this suite for 3 nights, the towel rail was never repaired despite 3 requests at reception. Room wasn t hooked at all, surfaces not cleaned. No papers delivered which were ordered. Breakfast, waited for table for ages, then no bacon- they had completely run out ?..
This is a lovely building, and the awful experience we had is entirely due to poor staff training, and poor supervision. If it were not for Chris being so efficient and helpful this review would be one star.
Excellent service from staff, very attentive. Food and drinks were both lovely and the room was well presented.
Shower didn't work, room wasn't that clean, TV kept losing signal, unfriendly staff, bed was lumpy, room was a good size though and came with a balcony.
We couldn't check in until 3pm. Had to find parking due to car park being full. Room was very noisy with hot water tank and air conditioning, so didn't sleep well at all. Had to queue for breakfast and then it was cold. Staff were all really nice though.
Nice place to stay not to far from the centre of Liverpool
So a surprise get away for my birthday, my boyfriend actually changed his mind last minute and upgraded the hotel to this one for some luxury! Upon arrive hotel was lovely the team were helpful looking after our bags for as we arrived a little earlier than check in. The room itself was ok, it had a funky smell which we worked out was comming from the shower! We heard music before we went out which was above us, but thaught nothing of it. However, comming back from what was the most perfect night out in Liverpool the music above us was still going, complained at reception, the issue was resolved for all of 10 minutes then started again! Then, it sounded like the floorboards above us were going to fall down! Unfortunately paying the large amount of money my feller had for the one night, we complained! It was the behaviour and disruption you would expect to find in a travel lodge, not a savy hotel! Debbie the housekeeping manager, was fab, listen to our concerns that we raised and gave us a full refund, which we were very greatful for. Unfortunately our experience wasn't the best, maybe yours might be better! Thank you to Debbie and the team who were very pleasant and helpful!
Nice hotel, good central location. The room I had was massive - 2 chandeliers in the bedroom/living room. Breakfast was self service and there was lots of choice: mini pastries, cereal, fruit, full English & waiters were very helpful & friendly.
Staying here tonight, so comfy, room and bed fab, lovly old building with lots of style, , been here a good few times , well worth it and a couple of mins walk from city centre and gallery's, well wort staying great city fab people, loads todo, music, art, culture and good times
Friendly staff clean and food was superb would recommend too friends and family
Comfortable spacious bedroom. We had a shower, not a bath. Breakfast room decked out nicely in white. Buffet breakfast. Lots of choice. Food was hot.
Lovely Experience
We had a good nights sleep due to comfortable bed and good curtains that kept every bit of light out of the room.
Breakfast was a pleasant experience and had a good selection on a buffet service
The hotel is quite central making getting to local attractions within walking distance but still far enough away to allow peace and quiet.
All staff seemed genuinely friendly and polite.
I would recommend this hotel and will defiantly book to stay when I next visit Liverpool.
Have stayed here for 8 months now so they must be doing something right! Really friendly staff. Excellent gym and use of spa is a nice touch in this price range. Restaurant offers excellent food and manager Sandra is delightful. Staff always make you feel very welcome. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Close enough to the city centre, only 15 minute walk away. Highly recommended
It's a bit dated and you feel you're back in the early 90s but the people are friendly and service is good, I wouldn't expect anything less from liverpudlian's, great city and great people
If you need a first class hotel in the Doncaster area you will not go wrong with this one.
Had afternoon tea with my sisters lovely day worth every penny
Absolutely amazing hotel. Staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Would definitely stay again.
This was the first time I'd ever booked a hotel, was a little nervous. Had a double bed for me and my friend. We had a great night. Location of the hotel is excellent. In the city centre but just out of reach of all the party people for those who want an early night
Very clean and excellent staff
Room with little natural light. Disappointing in how much to decoration and cleanliness. I would not go back. Very expensive for what they offer. There were only two hangers in the closet. There was no iron in the room either. Television huge but on one side of the bed with what was uncomfortable to watch.
Great accommodations, centrally located, fulfilling breakfast, and very nice staff
Nice staff, great location, best room I've ever been in. Definitely coming back.
Nice place. Rooms at a great price. Be aware of the dodgy sofa bed in room 4. Breakfast acceptable but not the best!
Very friendly staff. Very convenient location literally 70 steps from Chelsea Football Clubs Stamford bridge. Pricing for European football match was very good. Expect what you pay for though. This is not a high end venue but more than adequate.
Friendly staff, good service, good food. Overall worth paying even though expensive
Location great, service great, cleanliness great, staff great. the only problems we had is that our king size double bed was actually two singles pushed together and in terrible condition not comfortable at all. for the price of a stay here I expect better and certainly not two beds pushed together she advertised as a king size double. Also the apartments (or at least the one we stayed in) could do with a update, furniture wear was clearly visible.
Worst hotel I have visited so far. The room was insanely hot, windows when opened can not stay opened (drops down immediately), room does not have built-in ac, so fans were turned on during the night and it was hard to sleep with this noise. In the bathroom mirror was hot to touch and not only the room was hot, but bathroom as well. Also at the reception no documents were asked before checking in, no information about breakfast, checking out etc were given untill I asked myself. After asking to move to the other room, staff did not bother to do his job and change keys, so at the end at 1pm I had to go downstairs twice to ask for keys from new room. In addition, when I asked staff to get something to hold the window, he said this will be sorted right away, but ended up me waiting in a room for 30 minutes and after comming downstairs he told me that nothing was found to sort the problem out. Very poor quality room for its price and really bad service
Lovely apartment we booked over Christmas. Staff extremely efficient, and beds are very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here whilst in the city centre.
I came for a 2 night stay. The staff were very nice & helpful, but for a 4 star hotel it was a let down. It wasn't very luxurious , I was expecting much more for my money than I got. I was kept awake both nights because whenever the room above me flushed the toilet, had a shower/bath or ran any water, the pipe it ran through was right above the bedroom & it sounded like the water was going to come through onto the bed, it was extremely loud. I felt the decor in the room didn't match the 4 star rating & the bathroom was looking a bit run down too. Overall I was really disappointed & felt it sould be charging less money to stay there.
I spent 2019 Easter sunday and 2 nights here. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Their food was good but the most interesting part was their apartment arrangement of their rooms and the comfort and amenities in the rooms. We really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely decor. The prices didn't reflect the nature of the hotel which resulted in lower standards across the board. The food was what you would find in a pub, there was no dress code in the restaurant, and the servers are very young and casual. Upon arriving at the restaurant it took 45 minutes before getting a drink. The room was clean and spacious, no complaints there.
had a great time lovely looking view's lot's an lot's of seagulls flying around over my head very busy hotel
Hotel is gorgeous inside and our room was very nice. Pleasant helpful staff.
Really great place to stay in the heart of Liverpool. Close to Lime Street Station, and lots of shopping, pubs, restaurants, and all the sites that downtown Liverpool has to offer. Amazing rooms, great food and bar, and the staff was very helpful.
I can't comment on the hotel, just the restaurant, food delicious and well worth it if the menu suits your fancy. Calamari was so good, fresh and cooked to perfection. Would recommend and have to friends.
Hope you don t get room 042. It s on the ground floor at the front of the building. The room was a good enough size but the bed was two singles pushed together. Not exactly what I expect for an executive double room.
There was a pipe that made noise every time someone else above us used the bathroom. It sounded like the Bath was going to come through the roof!
Some the fittings were wonky, the cold bathroom tap and plug set into the headboard being some of them.
We had a bunch of people being incredibly loud around 3am in the corridors but were told the night porter reporting nothing. Sadly I won t be visiting here again.
One redeeming thing was how apologetic the staff at the front desk were.
A girlfriend and I paid GBP 300 to stay in one of the suite apartments for one night, which I thought expensive but was comparable to what it would have cost us for 2 separate rooms in other hotels. The suite was very spacious, but suffered with large flies. We were also surprised to find it fitted out with camp beds which were made up, so in total it would have slept 7! A member of staff came to collect these extra beds at about 9.30 pm as they had been put in the wrong room...... The greatest problem I had with this hotel, however, was the party which was taking place in the hotel (I think directly under our room) and the music may as well have been live in our room. It continued until at least 01h00 in the morning. One of the staff at breakfast told us the party finished at 04h00! The same lady cleared away our breakfast table while we were up
at the buffet getting hot food. We were offered no apology for the party music which kept us awake, or compensation. My friend rang down twice to reception before we went to bed and all we were told was 'it won't go on all night'. I would not use this hotel again. It has lessons to learn. Staff are pleasant and helpful but not with the things that really matter.
Lovely hotel and staff fantastic shout out to Michael on Reception nothing a bother for him. Lady in restaurant for breakfast was great also but never got her name!!!!!!!!!
Very well located hotel, close to the city center without being close to the various activities. Bus stop right in front.
Clean and (very) large room.
Correct hotel restaurant quality / price level.
Book the Richmond. And arrived late nothing all the people were lovley with us and made us welcom
In for dinner late magon at the bar was fantastic. The rooms clean. And fresh good beds nice
Good place good location fantastic. People thank you Richmond.
Lovely friendly staff in all areas, great value for price large rooms comfortable beds, great choice at breakfast. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again hotel is lovely
I stayed in two lovely rooms in this gorgeous hotel in Feb 2020. I was very looked after by the helpful Caroline and no request was a problem for them to sort out. The building and interior are grand and atmospheric.
We stayed in an apartment which was very spacious and had a little balcony. This could have slept 6 people or more so was great value. Had a fridge and cooker too. The beds were very comfortable with great pillows, duvets and mattress toppers.
A couple of things needed sorting in our apartment - the plumbing of the shower for a bit better drainage and the kettle needs replacing.
The location of the hotel is great being very close to the main streets in Liverpool and the museums. Highly recommend
Staff were nice and helpful room was great food was excellent
Very romantic once they have is the double room rather than two singles. Complimentary bottle of prosecco was a nice addition
My partner and I stay at the Richmond Apart-Hotel every time we visit Liverpool. The rooms are very nice, spacious and clean as well as comfortable. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and polite; even if you have a problem they go out of their way to help you. Overall this is a absolutely lovely place to stay with excellent customer service. We absolutely love it and will be recommending the Richmond Apart-Hotel to everyone we know!
Excellent hotel, great style highly recommend paying a little extra and get a balcony suit. Granted there are no views but its nice to relax on a balcony the suits are very spacious and include a working kitchen. The bathroom is very nice and large bath.
Enjoyable stay with very helpful staff, Room was nice as was the breakfast, Location is ideal as the shops and main areas are only a 10min walk away.
Unfortunately our stay here was not one to remember. We first went into our room which was non smoking only to be greeted by a stale smell of smoke, we got over this. Then we realized at that night that the heating system in the room was not working correctly. We went to reception the following morning and as we were there we were told we would receive an upgrade for the 2nd night but the room would take an hour to be ready, we said no problem as we had shopping to do anyway. When we came back we were told the upgraded room had been given out and they apologized and offered us drinks vouchers to me and my 8 month old pregnant partner!! Wont be back here.
Lovely modern hotel very close to main shopping area of Liverpool city centre.
Really nice place friendly staff big clean rooms n smart bathroom
Loved this place .The rooms are huge, comfortable and the price is superb
Nice hotel, but fire alarm went off multiple times in the night. Wasn't the restful night we were after.
Garish interior but lovely, comfortable, quiet hotel. Around a 15 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Not difficult to find at all.
Stayed for two nights at the Best Western. Clean spacious room good breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Lime Street station and within easy reach of all the tourist spots. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel deserves all the four stars it has. Very clean and welcoming. The hotel is located in the very center of Liverpool and is close to all the tourist attractions. We certainly come back here because we felt very good.
The exterior of this Hotel isn't so easy to see as the road isn't so wide and the building is quite high but if you stand back, it is quite impressive. The first few steps inside are not what you'd expect as there is a kind of 'False' reception. The actual reception is quite impressive as is the lounge bar/restaurant
I got upgraded to a suite as I am a platinum member and my room was excellent
The staff were very helpful when I needed it and it was good value for money
My gift, for being a platinum member, was, wait for it, a mini bottle of semi skimmed milk !!! Can you believe it
Came here for a wedding reception good food and service and a nice friendly atmosphere
Staff were really friendly and attentive, stayed in junior balcony suite was very spacious, homely apartment feel, with nice bathroom. None of the advertised extra amenities for this room were present: Fruit platter, pillow menu, discount card for meals, upgraded complementary tray. Tray wasn't filled up each day with new coffee or new water. Afternoon Tea was nice, very friendly service. The breakfast was average, though I would avoid room service breakfast if you want fresh fruit, fruit platter was tinned fruit on the breakfast tray.
It was a nice room - quite large however our view wasn't great and it sounded like we were very close to water mains system as we had a constant noise during the stay. Facilities were great. Shower was amaze - the spa and the gym across the road was great. breakfast wasn't great, but was sufficient. Would stay again
Beautiful rooms, Excellent food, Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient location.
Came here for afternoon tea which was lovely. Made better by the very polite member of staff called Tod who is a credit to the Richmond hotel. Would definitely recommend.
I stayed here for one night only (i was glad i did). My friend accompanied me and we were looking forward to a relaxing time. Unfortunately that didn't happen. From the moment we arrived in our room it was noisy (some people don't know how to behave) .On the plus side the staff were very friendly and attentive (even at 3.0 in the morning) YES, the noise continued through into early morning (when we could stand it no more) a room change was organised for us. So my review says " Great staff, pity about the noisy clientelle".
