Nice location in the center, very friendly and accommodating staff. Room was very big and very clean. Two TVs in our room with plenty of terrestrial channels. Room service slightly expensive.

The rooms were quiet but the hotel picked up all sorts of smells. I.e cigarettes from outside and then toast in the morning. The bar was cash only and did no snacks which was disappointing and the breakfast buffet was not the best. The bed however was very comfortable and blackout curtains enable you to take advantage of their late check out

The en-suite room was large and comfortable but the outlook from the window limited by the city scape. However the location was central to all the attractions and walking distance to the Railway Station. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay in Liverpool, even on the rain.

We booked this delightful, beautiful hotel for an overnight stay after I d been very poorly! I just needed somewhere to chill? We were upgraded immediately as we checked in, to a more premium suite, free of charge with a large bottle Prosecco! The staff bent over backwards to help you especially Lucy at reception. The food was amazing and very reasonable ( especially the huge breakfast selection the following morning!) The rooms were immaculately clean and quiet. I definitely will be back! Thank you to an amazing team of dedicated staff x

We stayed at the Richmond for two nights. On arrival given a room which was more like a boudoir - we overlooked the car park and there was scaffolding outside of the window. Bad start. Also no air con. The receptionist was brilliant and gave us a much better room. Still no air con, but not a problem. Went out the next day and returned to find our room unserviced. Rang reception and they offered us free tea and coffee???? Already in the room. The night duty manager jumped to the rescue and serviced our room, gave us a free drink in the bar, and I think because we were quite good about this gave us a free bottle of wine. Not the best experience I have had. The next morning bright and early the fire alarm went off three times....... Apart from all of this the staff were really courteous and helpful.

This hotel must have been great in its day but sadly not up to scratch at present as it was a little tired looking. I must say though that the Christmas decos were very classy. We chose to eat in the restaurant the first evening. The starters were fab but sadly my steak was overcooked and my husband's fish was such a small portion. They did refund the supplement for the steak. His dessert was very good. The service was excellent, I have to say. On our return from sightseeing there was a pungent smell in the en suite which made it difficult to breathe. My husband could only think that a painter working in the corridor had used our room to pour away the cleaning fluid he was using!!!! We also noticed that the beds had not been made properly. I reported both incidents to reception. We had breakfast before leaving and it was really good. The hotel is situated in a great place near shopping centers etc.

Stayed here for business, rooms are lovely having been recently refurbished. The price is really competitive and service is excellent. World definitely recommend as a place to stay for business or pleasure.

We have been here on several occasions, and every time it has been lovely.
Yesterday we arrived for Christmas Dinner, the staff were warm and friendly as they always are. We were greeted with champagne and canopies in the bar before being escorted to our table. The room and tables were decorated beautifully, with plenty of space between. The dinner was delicious and plentiful, it was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and served at your own pace. Cannot thank all the saff enough, from the start of our day to the finish, you were all fantastic. Diane Knight 25/12/18. Booking for next year.

JUST CAME BACK FROM A 2 NIght stay at this hotel, location fantastic. All the staff pleasant & helpful( especially Kevin on reception who recommended a fantastic restaurant to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday) The apartment was clean , tidy & WELL stocked. For anyone looking for a good hotel within walking distance for all the attractions , look no further. IF went back to Liverpool would definitely STAY at this hotel again.

Very nice hotel. Room well equipped. Staff great and very helpful with any of our queries. Since June I have stayed in hotels, b&b's, self catering apartments and I have to say the Richmond ranks up the alongside Bonningtons and Ashbourne Court both in Dublin. Well done Richmond and credit to your staff.

Great hotel for a short stay in Liverpool. Close to the central attractions.
Had a Christmas night gala dinner here and it was great.
On arrival the room I was given had water pouring in through the ceiling so the relocated me to a suite.
Great staff and great food

The room was clean, but I would not describe it as a Superior King room by any stretch of the imagination. The mattress was old and tired, with no support, there was no bath which was one of the selling points when making the booking.

No 4 star hotel dirt everywhere, no window room would be cleaned at 5pm no toilet paper no towels on request 3 towels for the floor.
Breakfast was a disaster, everything was empty at 9:30 a.m. and not refilled.
A guest came at 10:00 and was sent away Breakfast is over.
Wouldn't have gotten anything anyway.
Incredible.
The front desk staff was very friendly.

We visited the richmond hotel yesterday for my wife's birthday.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
The food juts fantastic and we really enjoyed or evening meal. Breakfast was also great, fairly topical for best western hotels.

My only complaint is the 'spa' which happened to be across the road. I don't think you could even call it a spa. It's a couple of luke warm Jacuzzis with the jets turned off. Just like a very small cold swimming pool.
The music was very relaxing and the changing room was very nice, clean and modern.
we didn't use the gym.
I did approach the receptionist of the 'spa' twice to ask if the jacuzzi jets could be turned on, or if there was anything else such as a sauna but he was on the phone both times so I have up and looked round myself but found nothing.

I would certainly return to this hotel, however i wouldnt bother with the 'spa'. Have a nice bath instead, at least it will be warm and have bubbles!

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Had to wait at least 10 mins to check in as there was only 1 receptionist at the desk, there was no WiFi whatsoever, when we went to go to the shops there was vagrants and beggars in and out of the lobby with dogs begging for money. Our balcony view was disgusting as there was a building site rite outside the balcony with builders working early the next morning. I would not recommend this hotel to any body, look elsewhere

Yes its a beautifull building inside and out but avoid room 041. Being on the front with single glazed windows (that dont actually shut) it was noisey. An Aircon unit was brilliant. . . Although you had to stick the extractor pipe out the window. . . .no plug by the windows so it was useless other than as a fan. Went to close the curtains left one fell off in my hand (reported it following morning as it was about 1am informed them we would be out all day but it wasn't even touched) the fold out bed collapsed under our small 9 year old daughter (also not even looked at the following day either, also recently found out this had been bought up by previous guests over a month ago) only one remote for 2 TVs and the TV in the living space would stay on for 5 or 10 mins and switch off which took 10 mins or so until you could turn it on again so not worth it at all. Was missing stuff that should have been in the room. Not sure about the 4 stars now I've written this. . . The wedding was lovely the food was lovely and the breakfast was amazing.

Afternoon Tea in bar & brasserie.Frirndly staff and good service . Really good choice of sweet goodies on afternoon tea. Large glass of good quality prosecco included plus unlimited tea or coffee including latte. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended. Had lots of teas on numerous venues. This was one of the best.

Booked a weekend away for my birthday. First night we were kept awake by what sounded like a party in the room next door from 1am-5am shouting right outside our door! I was supset in the morning as get more sleep at home with 2 toddlers! Spoke to the manager who said they'd been kicked out. The second day we realised they had billed us twice! We paid cash on arrival and they'd billed our card and only offered us a card refund meaning our spending money would be gone! It took some pursauding for a cash refund. Booked a double room and got a twin room had to push the bed together ourselves. The sink in the bathroom barley drained and plug was filthy. Toilet seat was stained yellow. The manager was helpful but the hotel is appalling. Would NEVER return.

This is a great hotel, but it is only made great by the great staff. Today I checked in and was assisted at the reception most helpfully. The stay was especially pleasant, made so by the 3 lovely girls working at the bar and restaurant ( Gemma, Megan & Natalie ). They provided great service in a professional manner and made me feel very welcome. I could easily stay again.

We stayed a weekend and have been back since. Originally we were disappointed, as the room we booked smelled of cigarette smoke. Considering neither of us smoke, we found this unbearable. The lady at reception didn't offer to change our room and didn't seem phased, so we packed our bags intent on leaving the next day. The gentleman checking us out dealt with the situation much better. Offered us free breakfast while he changed our room. Not only did we receive an upgrade, but a complimentary bottle of prosecco and handwritten apology. Far more than what we expected. A lovely touch. Nu Nu from the ( hope that's spelled right) restaurant also made our stay enjoyable! Lovely service from both him and Bianca, great conversation and made time for everyone even though he seemed flat out! Breakfast was brilliant. We look forward to our stays there now, as the service is exceptional

Unfortunately not recommended. Have been there for Christmas and was not told by the hotel or the travel agency that no train goes to that day. After negotiations, we then went by taxi from Man Airport to the hotel for 40pfund per person. Furthermore, we have booked in August and several times called but still no place in the restaurant as they are "fully booked". There was not even room to play social games. We were not even allowed to go to the bar to get a cocktail. Just unfriendly and not competent enough to offer alternatives! It would never recommend here again.

Based close to Liverpool One, the hotel is a clean and polite venue. Parking on Hatton Garden itself is virtually impossible, but several P & D roads nearby. Staff are welcoming and polite.

Excellent location and friendly helpful staff.

Excellent location and friendly helpful staff.
Unfortunately not up to the promised "luxury" on the website.
The room was disappointing as it needed some TLC - marks on the carpets and walls, stains on the bed sheets and the tap fixture in the bathroom loose as it was not possible to turn the hot tap on without forcing it past the basin (which as a result was also loose)!
Small details but basic up keep is not great. Expected a little better for the money it cost.

Superb hotel...though food needs attention ... breakfast was the only enjoyable meal but one had to be down stairs ready when door opened otherwise there was nothing left by 0830.Sadly no entertainment and no lounge....

Room was lovely, modern and stylish. Check in was a bit of a palava and the receptionist was very blazee, couldn't find our booking, was chewing gum and didn't instill any confidence.

On Trip Advisor the hotel was detailed as having a spa and gym, as it also was in BW catalogue, but there is not one in site which was rather disappointing.

Spent one night here in what was called an Apartment, fantastic, comprised of two rooms with a king sized bed (extremely comfortable) and each with an ensuite and a third room with bedroom ensuite, kitchen, dining/sitting room. Wished we all had been able to spend more time here. Close to Liverpool one, close to multiple entertainment and food/drink venues, great if there are a bunch of you staying over one night or a week.
