It's clean but the room not warm and you can't control the temperature inside your room. I was in the 4th floor and WiFi signal was very week even didn't work at with me. The entrance of the hotel is small and barely you can find a spot to step on in the night.
Well placed for visiting attractions. Friendly staff, good food and comfortable.
Two night stay for hen do. Nice central location, decent rooms and facilities.
Good for the price. Staff were fantastic and went above and beyond for us.
Please do not book with the Richmond hotel...we booked and tried to cancel on the same day as we had a death in the family due to coronavirus! Awful time for us all. Booking.com accepted and requested a full refund from the Richmond, however they refused. Disgusting during this is time.
My son held his wedding here. Wonderful experience!
Nice clean hotel with good food, room was clean and the bed was huge, nice birthday surprise waiting for me too
Good service. Quiet place. Decent breakfast. Terrible WiFi. Room I got was excellently positioned towards main street with feature of seating inside large window. Very spacious.
Excellent standard all around for the price charged would re visit
Good hotel, convenient location, parking (we paid about 35 pounds) good staff, clean everywhere, attractive appearance
Beautiful boutique coversion of Georgian offices. Comfortable and modern fixtures, but smaller basic rooms showed sounds of wear. Comfortable bed and good supplies of tea, coffee, hot choc, bottled water Ave even fresh milk in the room fridge. Smaller "apartments" have been subdivided from larger spaces and shat a common entrance foyer that sadly carried sounds too well. Restaurant was decent, food very tasty and well cooked. Fixed price menu. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Large well stocked bar. Parking available for small fee. Breakfast buffet was good quality and quickly refreshed. Coffee machine palatable. Nice bit of boutique grandeur amongst student apartment block.
Room OK breakfast OK lack of car park a slight problem.
Pleasant stay. Clean well appointed
The quietest hotel I have ever visited
Beautiful Hotel - all the rooms are luxury apartments, complete with kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.
A great place for a visit to the city of Liverpool on game days.
Checked into hotel, the staff are very friendly. My room was in a state of disrepair on which I complained, this complaint was handled perfectly and I was promptly offered an upgrade.
A lovely hotel and in a central location to the city. Clean rooms which are nicely laid out in apartments. Friendly and helpful staff, and very nice food!
I'd give it less than a 1 star if I could.. discusting.. dirty bed hair all over it burns in the carpet .. filthy windows which were broken .. no lights that worked bedding all torn.. do not go there horrible
The staff were really nice and helpful and even helped me dispose of a broken suitcase. The hotel itself is really nice with big spacious rooms and is very central to the main train station and shopping area.
I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.
Great hotel very warm & friendly, reasonably prices for when you want to stay. Very clean rooms would recommend if anyone wants to stay
Great location , very nice rooms , only issue is maintenance, but no big problems.
Room dirty, bedding stained , windows had black mould around paintwork, draining board on sink had rust marks it had not been washed down for a while, dust thick like fur and the smell was horrendous from bathroom really bad drain smell a de humidifier was turned on to mask smell which meant it was freezing cold, this was no way 4 star so disappointed spoiled our night in Liverpool.
Unbeatable location to visit places related to the history of The Beatles, a few blocks from The Cavern
This is our second time at this hotel the staff were really nice COULDN'T do enough and all so Breakfast ladies were very good THANK YOU TO ALL STUART MARIA LANCASTER
Rooms/apartments are huge and one of the best around. Staff can't help you enough, great place to stay.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower room was well kitted out. Very pleasant and helpful staff reception. Would definitely stay here again
Roof terrace was nice, room was a lot smaller then it looked in the picture.
Lovely apartment booked for my sisters hen party. Had a really lovely time. Beautifully decorated and very spacious. Central location and very close to several train stations.
A very good breakfast selection. The room was quiet and comfortable and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
Fantastic stay clean tidy really friendly helpful staff
The room was an apartment. It was very big and lovely.
Great hotel, very comfortable bed lovely food, friendly staff good price, would definitely recommend and will be returning.
Beautiful interior, excellent service, friendly and very accommodating staff. Superb food. Highly recommend.
Looks good but poor on the details. Breakfast was very busy and they run out of food and plates. Noise as students play football in alley behind the hotel at night. Would not recommend or use again.
Really bad experience at this hotel. We arrived to a dirty room, filthy walls, strange bedding with duvet put under the sheets and mouldy milk. We were kept up all night by a faulty drain pipe which made the room and door to our room shake, More
Great staff and great place, really good value for money
Despite my stay only being a fleeting visit, I was very pleased with the hotel and service.
Special mention should go to Rachel who went beyond the call of duty!
Very nice, big room good service and close to the centre. Stayed on a short break so didn't use much of the facilities except the bar. Telly had a HDMI cable installed which was a plus.
Pretty decent place really. Apartments in a hotel. The best of both. It was clean and spacious.
Meeting room is large and well laid out. Coffee and croissant is recommended
This hotel was fabulous and the employees made it an ever more perfect stay due to the extra touches in our room for our 4th wedding anniversary (very thoughtful) The waiter was fantastic and really looked after us on the evening and the food for the evening meal is absolutely one of the best meals I ve and we ve ever had. The breakfast was fabulous too and very fresh. Well done and Thank You to the staff at The Richmond. Keep doing what your doing.
This is an amazing place to stay if you are visiting Liverpool or Manchester as its only around half an hours commute to manchester. The rooms are huge as are the beds, extremely clean, and staff are both helpful and really friendly.
They have vegetarian and gluten free options on thier menu p
We stayed in a double executive (room 42).The room was nice, walls are thin which surprised me as it's an old building.there was a soil pipe (not noticable but definitely hearable)that runs down the wall of the room near the bed which woke me up a few times. Then the shower woke me up at daft o clock with water dripping into the bath, which doesn't sound much but the shower was a rain shower piped from the ceiling and sounded like a pipe had burst. Also the double bed was actually 2 single pushed together. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the half pint of milk in the fridge was a nice touch, overall I probably wouldn't stay here again definitely not in room 42.But I had a great night in Liverpool.
This was a great place to stay in Liverpool clean, modern and reasonably priced
Great location and friendly staff and management team.
Nice hotel, has wifi which is good. Town rooms are bigger then double bed rooms in our experience
Staff were superb although we felt the layout of the dining area was badly situated but wouldn't stop us returning was a great enjoyable few days and very good value
Very friendly staff, we had room service that was bought to us within 20 minutes and was beautiful! Our room was really clean and modern. The positioning of the hotel is perfect as its in the middle of the city to walk anywhere but also out the way enough to have no noise. With discounts to guests at the spa across the road too this hotel was just perfect for us!
Nice enough hotel, unfortunately the A/C was out of service on the hottest week of the year! Good and friendly staff.
Lovely place in near all the city centre amenities.Good spacious rooms, plenty to choose from at breakfast time.
Let's start with the positives. The hotel is good looking on the inside with it's old school look and decor. The hallways are straight out of The Shining (which is a good thing). Likewise the restaurant is beautiful and atmospheric in a 30-40'ish(!?) vintage style with good old british Rock'n Roll playing in the background. Friendly staff from what I could tell from my short stay, which was a single night.
Now the reason for the three stars: the rooms.
The standard rooms at The Richmond are small but looks good in a style that fits the rest of the hotel. The ceiling height on the first floor at least is massive, I believe more than three meters, with double stacked Windows. The bathroom is spacious for such small rooms and well maintained, on the surface at least. There's a perpetual perfume scent present.
So what's wrong with them? The room I stayed in at least? Nitpickings, but enough to lower the score.
Two of the five lamps above the mirror in the bathroom were broken. The old plumbing makes a lot of noise and I could hear when other guest flushed or took a shower. The windows are old, cruddy and not sealed very well, they also let in a lot of outside noise. The hotel could save money by replacing them. The air-conditioning control panel was falling apart and was stuck together with sticky tape. The front door to the room was equally cruddy and didn't shut properly without help. In fact when I got to my room the first time I didn't even have to use the room key. The shower is a bathtub with a glass panel that can be swung open, needlessly to say it's not sealed very well and no matter how careful you are the floor will get wet. Also the water drain was almost clogged and drained very slow thus limiting for how long I could take a shower to a minute or two.
That said, the TV was huge and pretty new. Too bad the batteries on the remote were empty.
Some refurbishment and bug fixing needed. :D
We had afternoon tea alexandra served us she was very polite girl and very attentive our afternoon tea was very good value for the money.
Stayed recently, room wasn't great bit damp odour. Got change and second room was much better. As per previous reviews some money could be spent on upgrade, carpets, tiles cracked in bathroom, paint chipping on windows. Positives, great size room, comfy bed, great TV, central location, staff extremely friendly especially young guy behind bar, food gorgeous. Perhaps employing a good maintenance team would cut out the negatives. Would go back
This hotel has a lot to improve. The facilities are not in good condition. To give some examples, one of the two elevators broke down the first day of the stay and was not fixed. The bed had holes in the sheets. There was a trail of leaks in the bathroom. In general, the feeling was of a hotel that needs a major face wash. The staff was too young and you could see a certain inexperience that in a specific case broke down with bad manners.
Quality hotel, conveniently located for bars and shops. Very friendly staff. Food was excellent - the steak was cooked to perfection.
Made up My mum and dad had wonderful meal for there 30 years
Very welcoming. A bit jaded. My net curtain was dirty. Bare patches on the walls where there had been replastering.
Loved it clean friendly staff good food biscuits in the room unlike the radisson blue and grt value recmened
Wow beautiful hotel ..... staff amazing and perfectly located to explore the wonderful city of Liverpool
I am so disappointed to have to post just one star and it's because of the staff who were very friendly and this is the first ever negative review I've given. Our room was very spacious but wasn't very clean so I gave everything a clean but no matter how much dettol spray I bought it couldn't get rid of the stench of smoke. It appeared to me and a few other guests that the hotel had homeless people staying there which I think is very kind of them but when I have to rush my children through the reception area because it is full of people off their faces! I didn't feel safe at all and I feel that they should let you know beforehand that this is happening as it's not exactly cheap. I strongly recommend that you avoid this hotel it's not suitable for families at all. I want to point out that the staff were great but the hotel was shocking!
Apartment suites are very large and well equipped, if a little cold. Beds relatively comfy, good bathroom and shower with toiletries present. Breakfast average. Dining room is too small for the numbers of guests, especially if there was a function the previous night. Efficient reception with smooth check in/out.
Friendly staff, great food and overall a good place to visit.
We booked really easily with this hotel and had nothing but great service at the hotel. They helped us find our way to the Liverpool game and also helped us anytime we needed it. Really the only complaint is have would be the pull out bed was a little uncomfortable and the windows looked like they might have mold on them. Minor issues for all in all a great visit to Liverpool!
Went here recently for a lads weekend in Liverpool. At first with the price for the room I was a little concerned, but upon arrival I was astonished. Great looking hotel on the inside, nice bar and the room (apartment) was great. Has its own little kitchen, a massive bathroom and room to sleep at least 4 people (double bed, pull out sofa bed and a sofa).
The room was clean, service at reception and the bar was great and no noise heard from any other room. Will defiantly be staying here again.
Very nice hotel. Comfy and cosy. Very clean and just a nice feel to the place. I'd definitely stay again.
Tidy well presented rooms . Bar a bit expensive, but overall very good
