Had to change my room 4 times due to sewage smell, grubby, untidy and unclean rooms,
. I have to say there was little offered, in fact nothing to compensate for the inconvenience and later on I got locked out of my room due to my key not working. This is the second time I have stayed here and I m afraid to say I think it s going to be my last. The mattress s are uncomfortable, the pillows are so flat you could have 4 under you and it make no difference. This hotel has a lot of potential, it s just a shame it s not anywhere near it.

We had a great stay here. Fabulous staff, food and comfort. The building and decor are beautiful. A closer look does show that the building needs attention and BW should get on top of this to stop it spoiling the splendour of the hotel and its reputation.

Room was fine. But only just fine. Was expecting upscale given images hotel shared. But was disappointed.

Bed was solid. As in mattress topper on top of a base solid. In actual fact there was a mattress, it was hard and lumpy. The shower was dirty and it was tired.

I've stayed in enough hotels to say this was bang average. Probably more disappointed that this was my money this time tho.

The location is 10 mins from line st and 10 mins from cavern club, 15 from the Albert dock. Location is fine.

But hand on heart if you were a friend i wouldn't recommend this hotel to you. All for a couple of things which could be fixed easily.....

the main downside of this hotel is the area in which it is based. some of the residents from the homeless shelter next door can be a bit intimidating for a female walking around the area on her own.
Hotel itself is lovely, as are the friendly staff. good breakfast and clean rooms.

Nice rooms, friendly staff but decor in main lounge needs a good bit of up dating. No parking at hotel and price of rooms is not to a advertised four star hotel standard. Our stay was comfortable but needs a bit of work

What a superb hotel. Very clean rooms & comfy beds, & the breakfast food is great. May we just say a HUGE thank you to the housekeeper lady for the very thoughtful gift she provided on our 3 or 4th time in staying here . The staff are very friendly indeed. I have no hesitation in booking again at this hotel. It is now like a home from home..Thank you to everyone that made our stay so special as always.

I was at The Richmond hotel for a meeting. The organiser had booked the meeting room and informed the hotel of the purpose for the booking. However, the room was actually a thoroughfare and our meeting was continually interrupted by staff turning lights on and off, wedging open fire exits whilst they carried out refuse, banging doors, and carrying on their own conversations quite loudly. The only thing separating our meeting "room" from the bar and kitchens was a flimsy curtain, and the toilets were miles away in another part of the hotel. Terrible experience, but thankfully my meeting was successful!

We were disappointed with our balcony suite. We found the balcony patio area and glass barrier were covered in seagull and pigeons calling cards and made it a very unpleasant place to sit which spoilt things for us especially as the weather was lovely. Felt as the suite was booked somebody should have made an effort with this.

Centrally located very busy, looks good from the outside but could do with a little freshen up. The staff were most helpful and really lovely. Good comfortable bed tea and coffee making facilities hairdryer in the draw, great!

We stayed one night (bank holiday Sunday) and booked in advance and got a really good deal. It was a balcony suite. Very nice, washing machine, fridge, two televisions, bath balcony (obviously). Walking distance to Matthew Street. Great place to stay and will definitely stay again.

Great hotel. Super fancy inside. You need to pull up and they valet park your car for 10 pounds/night. Loved the BIG room. They also were kind to let us leave our car & store our luggage for most of the following day so that we could look around and go on The Magical Mystery Tour learning about The Beatles. Very happy with this hotel.
