The food is good but I am fed up with the condescending mindless kids that work there. Not one order has come out properly unless it is a one topping pizza. When you tell them, it is somehow the customers fault. I gave this place too many chances and will be frequenting the place in the plaza down the street from now on.

It is a shame, I was really impressed the first time I ordered but I can no longer go there and hand my money to these people only to be treated as if I am a bother. YMMV of course.

We stopped by for something light. I had a Bubba Gump (1/4 size) and my fiance had the fried mozzarella. We both found our food to be prepared to perfection and Aiden, our server, provided excellent service. He made us feel totally welcome and treated us like his most valued guests. We would recommend The Plum Tomato to all of our friends and look forward to going back soon.

Friendly and efficient wait staff. You might have to wait for a table around the 6 pm dinner hour. Great thin crust
pizza and sandwich selections. Beer and wine. Side salads and dinner salads; pasta.

I ordered chicken pesto take out, saying it was horrible is kind. I know most would say it s not expensive. So what? I thought I would give it another try and ate in the dining room for lunch. A huge mistake, the place is filthy. Here is an example, I was the first one at the booth and there was a crack in the center of the table that was filled with old disgusting crumbs and debris.. The first item I ordered off the special menu could not be served as they did not have the ingredients. The item I did order came on a porcelain plate that had rust spots on it, disgusting. It s hard for me to believe the local health inspector allows this place to stay in business.

Go here. Not only is the pizza QUALITY, the owner and staff are genuinely nice people! I ordered two pizzas to go and went to pick them up. First time there and I ended up having a great conversation with the owner. I shared with him my favorite combination on a pizza and he ended up making it while my pizza was being made told me to have a seat and to tried it out. Such an nice place to eat! This is my new pizza place and I can't wait to try everything else out! Pizza was absolutely tasty and you can taste the freshness of ingredients.

Food was amazing! Nice sized portions for sandwiches and pasta dishes. Waitress a bit pushy about not wanting the side salad the comes with the pasta (btw) Made my MIL feel uncomfortable but not unwelcomed to return.

Cinnamon on the Buffalo Chicken pizza? Why? Perhaps made too close to fried dough prep, or by design? Either way its strange to me. On another visit, asked for garlic cheezie bread, but it did not have any garlic on it. Food is overall pricey for what it is and not that great, but the tap list is very good, and way above average.

As a local this is a staple in take out for me. Consistently good pizza, sandwiches and salads. Rarely do I get a dud of a meal. If you are new to the area or need a solid place to eat passing though town this is a great choice. Sammy the bull all day!

Have dined both in and out and was so disappointed...

Have dined both in and out and was so disappointed yesterday with the service and the pizza I brought home. I have gotten this particular pizza here before and it is delicious, not so much today. I was charged for toppings that one wasn't even on my pizza (unfortunately I didn't check before I drive home the 30min it takes) and another one of the toppings was not as I ordered it. The last 3 times we have ordered there they have forgotten to do my order correctly which has resulted in having to wait longer to get the rest of my order while the done part sits on top the oven "keeping it warm." I have really gotten good pizza and service here on past visits but its a hit or miss, depends on who is working i guess. All in all i am reconsidering taking this half hour ride anymore for food that may be good or may not!

This place's sandwiches are some of the best in CT. They have a wide variety to choose from and are huge and absolutely delicious. I've never had their pizza, their sandwiches are just so delicious I haven't strayed from that section of the menu.

Horrid! I bought a slice of pizza and a slice of cake. The pizza was freezing cold even after they warmed it and when I brought it back after trying it the woman offered to warm it again even after I took a bite, rather than throwing that one away and heating a slice up properly. They don t wear gloves when handling food. Even during this life or death pandemic?! I m appalled with this establishment. The cake tasted like .50 cent hostess and was $5 for a small slice. What a let down.

Dave's Very Veggie Salad is incredible. It's one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Also, their Southwest Corn Chowder and Mama Rosa pizza are both really delicious. They have a big menu with many gluten free options. The house wine is cheap and the environment is cozy. One of my favorite places!

Most of the time I have a very positive experience...

Most of the time I have a very positive experience, the wings are delicious and the brickinis and fattis are on point. However, I find the pizza to be over priced and not very well done. We got takeout and both pizzas had issues. Mind you we paid $33 for 2 12 inch pies and they were both poorly done. The first had the one topping all on one side and seemed like it had been dropped so the sauce and cheese were slopped on the sides of the box. The white clam pizza was extremely dry and got to the point of being inedible within an hour or so because it had started out so dry in the first place. Pizzas were average at best and based on the pricing was a terrible value.

I love this restaurant to grab something fresh to eat! Everything taste so fresh and the staff are very helpful and caring! I enjoyed coming here and definitely will be back. I always order Sammy the bull the sandwich and it is amazing. I haven t tried the pizza but I heard it s very good as well. If you do get the pizza I heard that it s best to have it at the restaurant ( Dine in ) and that s it s made differently!

Plum Tomato was by far one of the BEST Restaurants I have ever gone to. I do not live in town and needed to be in the area. A friend told me to check it out. It was so delicious, on point, and I didn't rush, just enjoyed myself. I had one of the sandwiches and a side of their terrific bean salad. I actually ordered more salad to go. Please do not deny yourself this culinary pleasure..go, no matter how far, and check it out. I would add a sixth star.

Gluten Free Goodness! This was my third visit and I still am amazed. This first visit was coming across this place accidentally because my 2 year old grandson was "starving" on our way to Rhode Island. It was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. My daughter noticed the "gluten free" sign, so we walked in. I ordered the "Mad Cow" and I was not mad in the least bit for ordering it. A mouth watering gluten free relation to any Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I had in Philly. Happily this version is on their very own gluten free homemade flat type bread. The bread, yes GF bread is delightfully warm, seasoned as well as having a delicious buttery flavor. The first bite is always my favorite. The horseradish sauce, fried roasted peppers & onions through the thinly sliced roast beef, has me sighing from the comfort of really good food. Creamy, crunchy, and cheesy gooeyness run down my chin, and this makes me incredibly happy. (My daughter was equally happy with her Sammy the Bull chicken roasted sandwich which she shared with her son during our first visit)
Their Slogan reads: Food So Good, It's Addictive, Please Eat Responsibly. So true. I wish they were closer than the hour ride on route 85 in Salem, CT. Open everyday at 11am. The staff is friendly and it is obvious they have repeat customers from local workers, families and people on their way to the New London Beaches. There are a few tables in this quaint store front. Please go! it's worth it. find me on instagram @gltuenista_foodie

Last year I stopped here on the way to a summer camp to get some lunch. It's a nice little pizza stop in the district where I used to go to Subway there.

The inside is very small and can be a bit crowded, but the food makes up for it.

I ordered one piece of cheese and one of pepperoni. The staff was nice to put them in the oven to heat them up. When eating them, they were a bit greasy, but they tasted wonderful; I think there were three types of cheese in each of them and the sauce had a nice sweet taste with it.

The only problem is that there were some flies buzzing around, but they luckily didn't go anywhere near my family. Hope this problem gets rectified in the future.

I'm thinking of coming back here again next summer.
