Our favorite place to go for pizza! The make amazing brick-oven pizzas there, with amazing service and friendly staff. The walls are covered with old objects from the '60s (or is it '80s? I can never tell) such as grape soda ads or even a set of skis. The atmosphere lends a sense of age to the place. Beware though - the cheese on their pizzas is not for everyone! The mozzarella gave some of our friends stomach issues. Other than that, great place which I highly reccommend.

I would have posted pics of the food but my stomach couldn t wait! Absolutely amazing food whether you get pizza, a sandwich, salad, soup or whatever else they have on the menu! The Sammy the Bull sandwich is AMAZING!!!

Service is always great and staff are super friendly and interactive, but not too much! Quirky little spot that has great eats!

The best part literally about this restaurant is the bread. The brikini bread is so thick and the variety of sandwiches is really astounding. You have so many options to whatever you are in the mood for.If you don't eat bread you can have it made into a salad. Of course my kids love the pizza and ask often to go get it by the slice for a snack. My favorite Titanic Turkey with the honey mustard chutney. Yummy!

I tried to like this place, I really did. I have heard such great things about this place. On two different occasions our take out order was messed up, they gave us a gift card for the inconvenience. So, why not give them another shot mistakes happen, I get it. The second time was even worse multiple mess ups. The funny thing is it's correct on the receipt, so someone isn't obviously not paying attention or they simply don't care. Either way, I will not be giving them a third shot. Good luck.

Hubby and I decided it was time to visit for a Brickini Sandwich. This is made with 2 small flatbreads (pizza) filled with your choice of sandwich ingredients. The day we visited, we chose the Caesar Salami Brickini, with lettuce, red onion, provolone, roasted peppers, slices of hot cherry peppers and caesar dressing. DELICIOUS!! Usually quite busy at dinner time, take out or eat- in. Beer and wine is available in addition to lemonade and sodas.

Cute little place . Not a lot of indoor seating with covid restrictions. Waitress definitely gave a shes new vibe . Asked for a cup of soup she informed us that the dishwasher had dropped all the cups and they can serve In a bowl but cup size . Than my wife wants to get a bacon chicken ranch wrap. She explained they don't have that. So she asked for the ingredients and she'll assemble it herself . " My cooks aren't use to that " " and the children will get soggy" . Wife ok may I just have chicken Alfredo? I order chicken parm sandwich . The Alfredo and the parm were made with sliced boiled chicken breast . The chicken was bland and rubberized. Needles to say I heard the pizza is ok

We came in for lunch today late afternoon and it should tell you something when the place was more than half full hours after lunch time. Fried calamari was served hot with a delicious marinara sauce. a small cheese pizza came hot and fresh with a tomato sauce bursting of flavor. A special spinach and artichoke white pizza was delicious. Also, very nice friendly service.

Good food, though the staff always seems to be new and in training, they do ok overall just feels all over the place most of the time. The number system for food ordering is also useless in most cases, though the good food does keep me coming back, sometimes I just don't want to deal with it and go elsewhere. The newer lunch counter and pizza by the slice is a great addition.

Great thin crust pizza. They only made my order wrong once, but they were very quick to fix the problem. Almost like it never happened. Customer satisfaction seems to be really important to them.

Love everything about plum. Of all the pizza places in colchester, it's the only true Italian pizza/ restaraunt. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I mean that literally. Pizzas are amazing. Dinners are great, and very reasonably priced. Sandwiches are huge, a quarter is enough for lunch for most people. Also, get the creamy garlic, on anything, its addictive.

Went here with my brother one Thursday night, it was completely dead. We ordered on small cheese pizza and it took over a half an hour to be ready, then our waitress comes out to say that it fell apart. So we waited another block of time for a sloppy small cheese pizza to come out, pooled with grease and running cheese and sauce. Very disappointed with the way they handled this, not worth the money or the wait.

After 36 holes of golf my friend who frequents this establishment brought the whole gang to this independent pizza plus house and the gang was impressed with the entire experience. As for the food I would say Plum Tomatoes offers an expansive thought out menu with the flavor of fresh ingredients. We had wings that were perfectly cooked with 3 different sauces each sauce lived up to their names and description our knowledgeable and friendly server, Sam. We also had 3 specialty pizza's all perfectly balances with sauce, cheese and toppings on a thinner crust baked in an open fire oven.
If I am in the area again, I would definitely find an excuse to return.

Good food. Real food. Nothing tastes "pre made". Phone ordering was a little weird. But, that may have been a fluke. One less star for the 'country kitchen' atmosphere... It's not my thing. But, the sandwiches are AWESOME!

We just ate here, and it was absolutely delicious. The creamy garlic sauce they have is totally addicting. The service was good too. I like that they let us do half red sauce, half alfredo sauce on our pizza. I can tell they really care about their place by the homey atmosphere.

Wow!! Loved the atmosphere. Had the meatballs- huge and delicious. Got one of the specialty garlic breads- never had a better dough! Plus it came with a delicious garlic sauce for dipping. Also tried 3 different types of pizza- all were incredible. Fantastic service. Awesome place!

I've been to Plum Tomato a couple times. The food is pretty good, the most recent time I got a small (12 inch) pizza with mushrooms and garlic. I'm also told the rest of their menu is good, though I haven't tried much else.

No more wood fired pizza. Whatever they call they new pre made bricks they are using, they do not cook the pizza the same way as wood. Too bad. A staff member told me that wood was bad for the environment so I guess we should all stop using our fireplaces.
