The peninsula hotel is one of the grandest landmark hotels in the city. It is Beautiful and a feel of old money,,,,, The service is beyond a doubt Outstanding and the rooms are a taste of old money with a mordern twist......The rooftop bar is grand for its stunning view..

In NYC, it doesn't get better than this. The rooms are pristine and the prices are extravagant, but well worth it. The service and the staff is extraordinary and anticipate your every whim and need. The spa is a sanctuary amidst the frenetic pace of the city and the rooftop bar is fun ( if you're a bit older ). In the summer, the rooftop is glorious with magnificent views. Truly amazing!
I love this hotel but the bar on top needs some work. The staff is not good Ashtanga Yoga customer service. Aggressive to the customer and to their fellow employees. I saw the manager get into an argument with a bartender. The drinks are not cheap but very good and the ambience is fabulous. They need a different F&B company to make it better
Stayed there a few years ago and on the whole great service by the staff EXCEPT for the rude behaviour of the lady managing the roof top dining area during the day.
The Peninsula is alway THE BEST! There are hotels that come and go but it is touch to beat the consistency and quality that you get at the Peninsula in NYC! Some of the rooms don't have the best views, which is OK as long as you are aware. You will still have an incredibly comfortable room with spectacular service. The other hotel features (room service, spa, bar etc are top notch. Every employee give 110% 24/7. The concierge can work wonders as well!
I traveled to NYC for work and stayed at the Peninsula Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, and I was absolutely amazed at the service everywhere you go in the hotel. 5 Stars+ all around. I hope to be back!
It's perfect. A personalized welcome and a warm and professional service at all levels. A team at your service to sublimate your stay. Thank you to each of you. See you soon. Stanislas
It is a five star NY hotel experience. Staff is friendly. The ambiance is good. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is a joy. No matter how expensive the rooms are, it is hard to recover from the price of a cup of espresso: USD12. Imagine you need to have three of them to wake up in the morning! The hotel has a spectacularly located roof top bar but it needs a real refurbishing and designing to meet the standard of the hotel.
Expensive drinks but great rooftop location overlooking 5th Avenue and Trump Towers. Service is great though there can be a slight wait when it is full.
Fancy hotel for fancy people lol great location near town square but far away enough your not going to be caught in the flood of tourist. Close to museum and other great nyc restaurants
Went there for drinks on the rooftop, view is not bad. Was a tiny bit crowded, but not bad around 8 PM. Be aware getting up and down on elevator might take time if it's crowded.
Amazing service and ambiance, but I just had to remove 1 star because of 1 key element: their shower heads are not cleaned! They are so clogged that the jets go in all direction. That would normally be a tiny detail but when we, as a couple, end up spending over a thousand dollars just for facials, massages and a couple of hours at their spa, any "detail" like this one is enough to annoy me and not give a perfect rating! It also makes me wonder what else is not cleaned properly but that we don't notice...
I never stayed here but the outdoor rooftop is phenomenal. The mango lychee cocktail is to die for! I love the complimentary snacks they offer with the cocktails. The panoramic views are unbelievable during sunset. I was there once and it started to rain, the staff opened up their giant umbrellas and we continued to lounge very comfortably outdoors! I will certainly recommend this rooftop!
I stay in at least one 5 star hotel in main cities worldwide every month. What happened this after noon with Peninsula New York made me wonder if it is over rated. I checked in this afternoon and the luggage was delivered to my room even before I got to the room, which was nice, the invisible and efficient delivery. Then when I was in the shower, I heard a slam of the door, for the shower room locates right in front of the entrance of the room, I could easily stare back to the front door from the shower room and found it perfectly shut. But when I stepped out of the shower I found a strange luggage at the door way right in front of the shower room, I was in a shock for I could easily easily assume that the bellman must have seen a full Monty show from the location where he left the luggage, whether he liked it or not. Who on earth would insist to enter the room when he could easily notice that the guest was in the shower? So I called the front desk stressing that what had just happened had seriously intruded my privacy and asked them to collect the luggage. Soon I received a call from the customer service manager, saying that he has heard of what happened and need to call to do the "investigation". From the way he talked made me feel that either he didn't get the point or he felt that it wasn't a big deal. He said, "I am sorry and is there anything I can do for you?" I coldly replied "not for the moment." The talk last less than 1 mins. Then I received a fruit plate with a note later at night when I returned to the room. It's really not about the compensation it's about the manner and professional training, I would really like to know, was it me or was it a cultural thing that American really have a different standard over hotel management and privacy?
Is this the standard way Peninsula deal with issues like this? I have no answer but I know even a guest staying in a low budget hotel wouldn't like this.
i decided to book online and booked a hotel room with a connecting room. as i arrived, there staff stated that there was an error and we can only have one room. rooms are decent, horrible service. STAY AT TRUMP HOTEL! It s cheaper
It is a good option if you are traveling with your parents. The rooms and the room service are awesome. The staff make you feel at home. Also, the location is perfect. Highly Recommended
Worst Hotel ever seen. Booked for 7 nights but after 3 nights checked out by considering worst services. I Paid around $1500 per day even complimentary Tea/Coffee also not offered. Before i took the room i called to the hotel for Complimentary breakfast and they told YES but reaching saying NO. Another thing is Couple of wrong charges on my Credit card for services which are not at all used off course they cancelled those charges. One more thing after paying around $1500 there is no street view at all. The room is a closed one
The rooms are nice and clean as expected of any high end hotel in NY. What sets them apart is the staff and service at the hotel. I visited the Clemente as well as the gym and the staff at both places were amazingly friendly and made me feel welcome. I would highly recommend the hotel. The hotel also has a roof deck bar with a great view and spa room one can use without a service appointment (again another friendly staff). Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Excellent breakfast, staff is very attentive and cooperative. Their AV service is nice as well. Technology is not 100% because the hotel is retrofitted due to age but they do a professional and great job with what they can. Beds are comfy and the hotel is very clean.
