Perfect place of culture. World classic travellers point to see.

No need to say too much - lots of famous paintings to see for free. A good stop in sightseeing for tourist to rest a little bit from walking and grab a coffee in the bar.

The Sorolla exhibition was fabulous. Worth it just for the picture of the sails. What at close quarters were seemingly carefree days turned into sunny highlights giving the sail depth and shape. Miraculous.

Could spend days here. Truly breathtaking pieces of artwork.

Jesus Christ! I really felt frustrated visiting there. The donation fee is appropriate only 1 penny. Inside was too hot and hazy air. I thought there was no air circulation.

Just amazing that we can see all this incredibly detailed and skilled artwork for free - stunning building, incredible detail and emotion and skill in the art -idk is it a photo or a painting? Type of artwork

Splendid national collection. However, the Sainsbury wing is a poor and uncomfortable underground exhibition space.

Great gallery however it is very easy to lose your sense of direction between the different galleries

It's wonderful that admission is free to the public (donations are welcomed). The exhibitions are well organised with maps scattered around with room numbers to assist you in finding a particular exhibition. There's generally seating in most rooms, either by the windows or in the middle if you want to take a rest / sketch.

Absolutely loved it. It is free entry, and I was astonished to see the paintings in real life that I'd only seen online for so long. There are many beautiful, classical, worldly famous works here, truly a gallery of master painters. It was bigger than expected, definitely could've spent more time in there. The staff were also really nice, helpful, and chatty as a bonus.

It has many good collection, and free entrance. Worth to visit.

A must for anyone visiting London. We especially love the Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh

Great as usual! My only complaint would be an extreme abuse of cellphones use! It was pretty hard (sometimes Impossible) to study a piece of art for a minute without having someone recording or taking pictures around you.

Diverse holdings with lots of Renaissance and impressionist. Shop is pretty good.

The place is big and beautiful and holds famous and important artworks. The only problem (if it's a problem) is that there are too many people in the same space and this may cause a problem with the experience.

Great place to visit with children - good cafes and shops. Lots to see - highly recommended.

The Lorenzo Lotto exhibition was impressive, well documented and free. Video display by gallery entrance contextualized it geographically very well.

Incredible. A stunning collection in a marvelous setting. The walk through Trafalgar Square just added another magical touch to the visit.

All ways worth a visit, but the prices in the cafe tend to make your eyes water.

Love this gallery - try and time your visit when it's not too busy though, the crowd of people taking selfies around Van Gogh's sunflowers is especially ridiculous (and pretty sad considering he died penniless)

I love to visit for an hour and choose one or two paintings to focus on...so wonderful that the main collection is free.

Free admission! Beautiful building. Well presented artwork with abundant info and variety. A national treasure and not to be missed!

Alot of websites have this as their number one attraction in London, and I can see why. With amazing paintings from the likes of
Monet, DaVinci, and van Gogh, it's easy to see how amazing this place is!

Wonderful as always, once again a pleasure to visit.

Great place. Get a map or take photos of the maps on the wall when you arrive. You will need them or you will get lost. This place is too big to do in 1 day. I think it's best to pick a theme and do a few rooms in an hour or two. I took my 10 year old son to see some Canaletto's, as he is going to Venice on a school trip.... it makes it interesting for kids learning like that.

Wonderful pieces of art. Friendly staff, and a location with lots around it for tourists and locals to enjoy.

Art from through the ages elegantly displayed. Plenty of places to sit and rest ones legs.

Beautiful free gallery of some of the Masters. The halls are a bit of a maze, so you should consider a tour or one of the self tours. A truly incredible collection that would take a minimum of a day to do any sort of justice. I plan to visit again. On my next trip to London.

One of my all time favourite art museums.
Iconic artworks from the 13th to the 19th centuries are housed in a beautiful building. Paid exhibitions usually have well curated touring works. A must for all visitors to London.

Stay away from the bogs by Room A. The security guard will question you as to your presence and what you intend to do. And be f*cking rude about it.

A great gallery with paintings from many eras. Worth a visit and ideal for all ages. The facilities on site are also excellent.

The only nick pick issue is the maps were not available so found ourselves walking against the flow

Perfect place to spend a whole day... or several. There's simply too many things to see. Beware, it's easy to get lost inside even though there are many maps spread all over the museum.

Educational and fascinating as always. You always learn something new everytime.

Amazing works of art with good detailed text with history and facts to accompany each painting.

The world's greatest collection of Western European paintings, wonderfully displayed in a fabulous building, in a beautiful location.

Always go there for the Taylor Wessing Photography exhibition. It's always worth seeing, then a walk to the Photographers Gallery to round off the day.

A must visit for anyone visiting London. Prepare to spend an entire day there since the collection is so vast that if you want to take the time to understand and closer exam and appreciate them. They are current having a separate Monte & Architecture exhibit which is one of the most amazing display of information toward Monet and his view on building and structures. I highly recommend paying the additional fee to look at it, it contains a lot of additional knowledge about Monte that can't be found anywhere else.

I spent a few hours there and it wasn't even enough to see all the artworks it offers. The place has a quiet vibe of art students sitting on the floor, drawing the paintings or sculptures. I was and still am amazed by the variety of art the gallery shows. Astonishing place.

Absolutely amazing museum. Free admission makes it even more amazing. Could easily spend half a day here.

Wonderful gallery in a fantastic central location. Lots of "blockbuster" paintings can be found here - and it's even free to get in. They also do special exhibitions, such as the Impressionists, which are chargeable entry. There's even a restaurant too.

Terrific place! Love the Impressionist Galleries most of all.

Accessible with lifts, possible to leave coats in a cloakroom. Free so don't use your London pass here. Only if you want to visit there special exhibition. They ask everyone for donation. As a tourist not acceptable. In my country we don't ask tourists for donations.
