Cool little spot in Hollywood. Block away from Pantages theater. Went to see the Bouncing Souls for their 30th anniversary. Alcohol is expensive though but smoking patio is big and for some reason has fake grass.

The staff was very disorganized. It was a full house and they had one person scanning tickets. The show started at 9. There were still people in line waiting to get in at 10. Very disorganized.

This is a great venue for live concerts. It is not so large that reverb is going to be an issue as you get further from the stage so the acoustics are generally quite good. I have experienced a music event here that didn't live up to past events I had attended as far as the sound quality was concerned but I later learned that there was an issue with an amp which had not surfaced during the sound check and was not obvious unless you were near the back of the venue. That is the only time I found the sound quality to be less than good to very good. There is a downside to the smaller size of this venue though....they sell out of tickets very quickly for popular acts due to the more limited maximum occupancy. If you are dedicated and diligent and you score tickets for one of your favorite bands, you will not be disappointed. The size of the venue allows the bands to connect with the audience on a more personal level that a large venue just can't duplicate. Besides live concerts this venue sometimes hosts live DJ dance events as well. This is the one time I think the size of the venue actually works against the event. I don't know anyone that likes a dance floor that is so crowded that all you can do is basically sway back and forth with the crowd and the more popular events often suffer from an over crowded dance floor during the peak hours of the event. Parking is usually not a problem but expect to pay a minimum of $10 to park for the evening and those rates go up as you park in the lots closest to the venue. They do have a fairly large parking lot right next door but if the event you are attending starts after the normal business hours of the Pep Boys across the street, you can usually save yourself $5 to $7 by paying the cheaper rate to park in the Pep Boys lot and you only have to walk across the street.

I enjoy the Fonda Theatre for a few reasons. It is a smaller venue, which means you are always able to hear see the act well. Two bars, so if youre in the balcony area you can grab a drink without having to trek downstairs and the venue has a cool atmosphere and friendly staff.

I keep having a better and better time at the Fonda. Sound has gotten a lot better, though it is usually LOUD here and I recommend hearing protection (earplugs). Great acts come through, venue is nice, and the sound has gotten so, so much better over the past years.

Love it

Beautiful place, friendly staff AND security, there's a restaurant/ bar that shares a common wall and open up to concert goers and they'll give you a wrist band to re-enter the theater if you decide to visit the bar. The venue is shockingly small but intimate which is nice. Everything was clean and bathrooms RIGHT in front so no searching, no stairs, no confusion. Parking is at the LA fitness parking structure behind the theater about 200 feet, 4 floors, $15. street parking is 2 hour only until 12am so don't bet on or try street parking. When leaving the parking structure turn right, don't even try to turn left otherwise you'll back up the entire structure before you realize you're not turning left no matter what or who you think you are, this goes for you Mercedes and BMW drivers who share bedrooms and act rich but can't afford McDonalds. I do 5 to 10 concerts a year and this is in my top 3, can't wait to visit again!

I love this venue. Perfect for seeing any band or artist because it s so small and usually GA. For this event I was thankful the balcony area was open because my husband hurt his foot and we were able to sit up at the top. There is a bar up there as well.

Nice old school Hollywood feel, with zero old school Hollywood pest problems thankfully. Great staff and plenty of parking right next to as well as across the street from the venue. Had an attached restaurant which is a separate business you can access without technically violating the "no ins and outs" rule, plus an access/workman area behind the building where they allow customers to smoke or vape. Clean bathrooms and nice ambiance. Not sure if they ever put seats in there but for GA it's perfect

Great venue. More elaborate than other, similar small concert locations. But lighting for openers was blech. Treated them like they were all part of the backdrop. No front facing lights. Audio better than most, avoiding blasting so loud it's distorted. House liquor is gross, cheap stuff. Stick to beer here.

Saw highly suspect on June 3rd. It was fun! Theatre is old and has the true hollywood feel. Parking lot is small next to the venue so expect to drive down the street to find somewhere to park. I would recommend bringing at least $15 to cover parking on the streets.

Gorgeous theater with peculiar decorations and structure. It was fascinating to walk around before the performance (Sticky Fingers) and just look at every detail. The building is separated nicely from the entrance to the stage. Whenever I felt uncomfortable or overwhelmed by the crowd, I was easily able to find a nice calm place to sit or rest.

Awesome venue. Clean, didn't smell weird, didn't have sticky floors by the end of the night. We were directly in front of the stage, but it never got uncomfortably hot as it usually does at other venues. We saw there's a mezzanine level with seating, will definitely try that next time. Saw there was a bar, but didn't try the drinks. Would highly recommend this venue and definitely come back.

This venue is so cool, I've been here twice now in the last month and I'm so glad I went both times! If you've ever been to a show at the North Park Observatory in San Diego, it's exactly like that! Both are small, rustic theater vibe to it, standing room only, bar for drinks, AND both have an attached bar with direct access between the bar/venue! Only downside of the Fonda is the parking is...well, it's LA/Hollywood and parking there is a nightmare in general. But there are tons of great food options in the area (shout out Shake Shack!) and some cool little bars (Blue Palms connected is pretty awesome). You really get the small intimate vibe of the place, and they generally have some damn good acts! Will be returning for the next show I want to see :D

Fantastic historic venue in Hollywood. Parking sucks because it costs $20 at the lot next to the venue, but the outdoor smoking and bar area is really nice and the interior of the venue is old but classy.
