Great place to catch live music. Fantastic sound and small enough to be intimate
I've been here 3 times but the last time was soooo loud I could barely hear the lyrics or the instruments for that matter. I'm a regular concert goer and this was just unacceptable. I left one of my favorite artists early because the terrible quality of sound and the EXTREMELY high volume that distorted every band's music and gave me a crazy bad headache.
Great experience but the waiting line to enter was too long.
*door guy attitude -1
*drinks: $9 for a shot size, cheap alcohol mixed drink -1
*the sound is good and thwt's the only reason I'll give them 2 stars.
The Henry Fonda Theatre aka The Music Box has been one of my favorite concert venues in LA for the 20 years I've been attending concerts. I've seen big bands in this small space. From Green Day to Andrew WK a few weeks ago, you will never have a bad seat. Events tend to be General Admission and no matter where you end up you will have a great view of the stage and bleeding ears (kidding of course). The lower level has two bars, one facing the stage and one facing the entrance. There is also a balcony area that has a bar and another set of stairs leading to the second floor patio. [Note: The upper levels were closed for Andrew WK :( ] But they have a couple of bars and it's okay to smoke if you for some reason still do that. Great venue that should be on the list for any music lover.
Classic LA theatre venue, striking interior. Just pay to park in the lot.
Saw Dominic fike preform and the venue was great for a intimate yet full concert.
Fabulous theater with amazing decor and cool rooftop area.
Small theater, great sounds, fair beer selection. Blue Palm is next door, great craft beer selection.
Really strict with rules... But overall good place to see a concert....
Great place to see a live band. The place has a good vibe and fills up quick. Decent beers on tap and the bartenders are attentive.
The show was so good I watched Charlie and the chocolate factory the play was amazing
Beautiful venue. The rooftop bar is awesome! Great place to hangout before the show. Saw Margo Price here. It's a really intimate place to see a show. The acoustics were great. The architecture of the place is pretty eye catching. Do try and catch a show here if you get the chance.
Great venue... I have seen some great shows here. The decor is a throwback to old Hollywood. Enjoy
Excellent venue to see a show. They even have seated balcony for us old folks. It is pretty small so it seems intimate. The bar is expensive and the bathroom is tiny though. But it all was clean and the staff was nice.
great venue. plenty of space, even when sold out...
I've seen so many shows including my first date with my highschool sweetheart/wife. Cradle of filth, steel panther... This place rocks and never let's down. It's just a solid venue for a show.
Great venue! We had a blast! Had a great view fomr the balcony. Also enjoyed the open air bar on the roof. We will definitely be seeing more shows here.
Not fond when there is "a toilet guy" in an already crowded bathroom.
Have been quite a few times for different events. Convenient parking next door. Great theater with lots of little hidden gems inside.
Not a bad venue. Has seating in the balcony which is nice for more chill shows. Parking is insanely priced next to the venue at 30 bucks.
I love this place was clean good organize a lot safety, bar and drinks ,also free drink we get
See Noah Gundersen here last night and it was fantastic. Perfect size venue for small intimate shows with great artists!
Awesome simply a great venue for concerts Phoenix ti amo 2018
Great venue! Beautiful old theater. No seating in the main area. There are seats, some with tables, in the balcony, but it looked like people had camped out for the seats with tables. A large open air second floor patio for chilling and smoking with cabanas and a cool view.
The Fonda is a beautiful, intimate venue. I saw Thom Yorke perform here a couple years ago and it was an ethereal experience.
Grand old theater, the acoustics were amazing! Scars on Broadway brought the rock and blew the lid off The Fonda!
Awesome venue. Beautiful, low key, great staff, had such a great time. Attracts great artists, and a really cool crowd, makes it enjoyable. And, parking isn't that horrible, you just have to suck it up and pay the the $20-$25 bucks. Which is honestly not that horrible compared to Downtown. Or most parking structures... 2 thumbs way up. Best concert I've been to in years!
Great venue for bands. Good sound and set up nicely for smaller crowds. More intimate than most places doing shows these days. I will be keeping my eye out to see who will be playing there!!
A great venue for a fun night out. We saw Inna here and we had a good time! It felt very intimate and entertaining z the drinks at the bar were good.
I don t fallow what shows they have here but the room is great for big parity!
great venue with foods and other bars in close proximity. However, parking is a bit hard to find for the cheaper options.
There venue is located in a great part of Hollywood. I often get lucky with street parking and in around the location. The venue itself is ornate, historic, and intimate. I've seen a few shows here and attended a few events in this space, and I'm always impressed with the venue and the sound quality. The venue doesn't have the greatest lighting technology, but this doesn't seem to impact the types of shows or intimate experience that it does cater to.
Bathrooms were clean with an attendee just a small venue
The theater was not very big. There was a bar area towards the back right in the center of the floor area. No seats, except up in the balcony. I went to the KPP concert . The floor was pretty crowded and hot. I'm surprised no one passed out. Kyary was soooooooooo adorable!
Such an amazing place. Right off the red line so you don't need to worry about driving and I loved how there was outside space with it's own bar as well as multiple levels to watch the show. What a cool theater
Beautiful interior! Security was thorough, efficient, and friendly. Bar was easy to get to and the Id check+ wristband to buy alcohol was fast as well. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Sound was perfect! Bring some earplugs to protect your ears. Definitely looking forward to my next show here.
Still one of my favorite venues in Los Angeles to see live music. Sight lines are great from pretty much everywhere (unlike some others *coughWILTERNcough*...), sound is always on point, the rooftop bar area is a great way to kill time before the show or between sets, AND you can go between the venue and Blue Palms next door if you want some really good beers and/or food. If you like a band and they're playing at the Fonda, definitely get tix.
The venue at this location was excellent! I had a great time!
What a cool place! Love the roof seating and projector cam of what was going on inside the theater.
Awesome place. Clean bathrooms. Great sound. Attentive security. Not much more you can ask for.
Good band, nice venue, but $36 for two small rum & cokes...I'm done!
Solid venue and the staff is usually decent. Worst part of the venue is the parking lot is expensive and my drink was watered down.
incredible venue. unlike any other I've experienced in Los Angeles. I can't wait to go back here
Venue was awesome good vibes and sound quality was pretty good when moonchild and keifer played
The Fonda Theater is an amazing venue to see live music. The place isn't to small and has a warm, inviting, intimate atmosphere for your listening pleaser. I enjoy the option of the general admission standing 1st floor or the second floor, first come first serve seats. Only negative: drinks are on the pricey side.
I love this venue ...been there 3 times in 2019 and more to come...sound system it's ok the stage lighting is also ok cool venue
My first time at the Fonda Theatre and it was superb. It's is a great place to catch a live performance of a band because the venue us small. You can also choose between sitting on the balcony where they have seats or watching performances on the floor, which is a standing room, first come basis. It's casual but also classy. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Great acoustics and the stage is small so if you're looking for an intimate concert, that s is your place. I had s great time. Definitely recommend it to see your favorite up and coming band.
Great intimate venue! Saw Toots and the Maytals with the famous Lisa J!!
The sound can be a little rough. Cool venue, seems like it has lots of history to it but I don't want to walk away with ringing in my ears for the next day.
An awesome venue to catch your favorite artist(s) with no bad view.
Loved this venue, parking was surprisingly easy and affordable and it s right on Hollywood Blvd. The sound was awesome and the vibes were even better.
Came to see GETTER! Pretty spacious, but when the headliner goes on...make sure you're already in the front. Don't even think about leaving and coming back either, you won't make it back.
Good reliable place to see your favorite band, dj or show!
Love the Fonda you can hit the floor or seating in the balcony both awesome Zakk Sabbath
Amazing place and staff! Very lively! The musicians are very talented a d entertaining.
Nice but small venue great for intimate shows. Great rooftop! Easy to get a drink. Batrooms were very very small but what do you expect in LA...
Great bar adjoined and love the venue. Reminds me of Tucson Rialto or Doors Dallas!
