It's a beautiful old building and has a lot of space. It would be better though if the ground floor had some more elevation to see better when you're stuck in the back and to see over the people's heads in front of you.

Words can't describe how I felt after seeing Palaye Royale performing at Fonda theatre.
There is enough room for fans if its a concert and enough seats for people that want to enjoy a nice plays.

Sound engineering was awful after Hide played 7.26. It was so loud Drab Majesty was distorted and you couldn't even hear elements of the music. It was a wall of ear piercing noise. It wasn't that way for the opening act. Something happened when Hide went on.

It's hard to tell if it's purposefully damaging or not, when they have a vending machine for $30 protective earbuds in the lobby.

I didn't consent to hearing damage by merely buying a $26 ticket.

I was here for an event earlier today and the place itself was...decent, I guess. There were a lot of places to trip and eat dirt and it wasn t the cleanest place to be. The security as well was just horrid. They were just a bunch of rude, nasty people that made me feel more threatened than safe. I m not sure if they were the theater s personal staff but perhaps friendliness is something that could be emphasized more in their training. By a lot.
Seems security is far tighter for this old theater than it is in most theme parks and it is rather uninviting...
I will not return.

Really nice concert venue, sound system is excellent. I've seen a lot of bands play here, but most recently saw Intronaut and Cult of Luna play. The bands were killer and the crowd was really into it; had a nice mosh pit, nothing fancy but really chill. The bathrooms are alright and they have a decent bar. Parking lot right next door if you don't mind paying, but there is also plenty of street parking around if you are adventurous.

All in all, the show was fantastic, and the theatre was clean but they definately oversell their balcony tickets to the point that you can't even see the stage. I had to finagle for almost an hour to get the spot in the picture. Other than that, the theater rocked

Nice

My review may be a bit bias because I saw my favorite band, The Rose, here but it was such a great experience. The staff is really chill, surprisingly to be honest, and the service was very nice.

The historic Fonda Theatre was formerly home to the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera (now Broadway/L.A.). This intimate, mid-size theatre housed many well known actors in plays/musicals. Unfortunately, the Nederlanders sold this theatre many years ago.

The Fonda Theatre currently presents rock concerts for a much younger, hipster audience.

They over booked. I wasnt even able to see the band at all. Pretty upset since I paid over a 150$ and got sent to the 50$ seats and there wasnt even seats to sit in I got stuck standing behind a crowd behind the seats of the top floor.

This is the most amazing best kept secret in Los Angeles The energy of the dueling piano players, the audience participation, the humor all come together to make an interactive show that is the best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Thank touch to everyone at the shout house.

It s a good place to see a band. Small venue so you re up close and personal.
However this place interior wise needs a refresh. It s dated and not in a good way. Also the sound is just mediocre. So much potential here, shame it s kinda run down.

Hadn't been here since the Cramps spot lighted the stage in 03'. They've really improved every aspect from the lighting to the service. It was my date's 1st time attending a concert here and he was blown away. We had a blast. Security was so nice too even though we didn't realize some areas were off limits we were treated with courtesy.

Not a bad venue. Bar tender was awesome. She was really funny and fast. However, I only saw one bathroom and it was rather small for the size of the venue and the art on the wall in weird and kind of creepy.

Amazing venue. If your artist is in the L.A. area, and you can catch them here I recommend it.

The venue us small, so GA floor is first come first serve. So I recommend getting their an hour early. They have two full service bars.

Bathrooms are by the entrance to your left.

Great venue for live music!

I ate and I ate and I ate...well beyond my full capacity, and STILL ordered dessert! I could have said no thank you. I could have politely declined. Heck, I could have pushed the plate away after my dinner was done and declare my complete and utter satisfaction with every morsel of my meal!

I love that LA still has these intimate & historical venues that can introduce up and coming artists like the ones I saw (jagwar twin, flara cash & lovelytheband). The acoustics were amazing (even when the bass drowns the artist a bit lol) and even though I was in the balcony section it didn't seem that far. If you're in LA or live here it's a must!
