Amazing staff and one of my favorite places to play in Hollywood!
Beautiful venue, all staff was extremely accommodating and super nice. I met Demi here at her premiere of her documentary, and it was spectacular.
Loved the venue. Clean bathrooms, great service. Overall experience was the best from a concert venue (theature) that I've been to so far. Keep up the great work!
This place is affordable and wonderfully unique! It's a great place for large parties too. IMHP, don't bring the picky eaters here. I did and they ended up "picking" at the paella. =( One of the best things about this place is that you have so many other options to do/see after your meal!! What a treat!
I came to see my favorite poet perform. This is an old theater with quaint visual features and old timey decor. It had a small stage and a convenient bar area. It was kind of dirty however and in need of maintenance. Anywhere you stepped the floor was very sticky and areas of the worn out carpet were covered in duct tape. There was only standing room and lacks any kind of AC or proper ventilation. It quickly became uncomfortably hot and humid inside the venue. The female attendant inside the restroom was very sweet and polite and quickly anticipated everybody's needs. She mantained the area clean even as the restroom line became overwhelming. I enjoyed the performance very much but I was very relieved to be leaving this venue.
Not too big or small, staff was polite, service was above average, all in all a great experience!
Was my daughter's first concert and she had a blast
A new venue and the atmosphere was perfect out side patio. Service is very friendly
Good view of the stage from anywhere that you stand
One of my favorite concert venues. Not really a bad spot in the house to stand or see a show, open air rooftop is great if you need a break. Staff are sometimes rude but that seems to be the case at most venues.
Got to see Kevin from Brockhampton. It was an absolute delight.
Awesome venue and there's a bar / grill right next door called Blue Palms
The building and decorations are really neat. Great concert venue.
Great show with the Emotional Oranges! Can't complain much about the venue.
Excellent place, intimate, orderly, good audio and a cocktail terrace after show. Simply impeccable
Staff was fantastic. They need to try and upgrade their ADA section.
The Fonda is a great mid-size venue in Hollywood. It's a block away from the train station, there's plenty of parking around, lots of good dinner options before shows... It's truly an easy place to navigate. The sound is really great, whether you're on the floor or balcony. You can easily maneuver yourself into a good sight line and it's super fun to dance on the dance floor. The rooftop is a rarity for any venue in Los Angeles, and it's certainly rare for Hollywood. You'll find good views from that rooftop, and they also project the show up there as well as the sound from the concert so if you need a break from the crowds, it's a nice place to get away. This is what makes it my favorite venue in L.A. Many others provide an outdoor space, but normally you're in an alley or somewhere more dodgy - but not here! There's never too long of a line at the bars either, now that I think about it. Or the restrooms - there are some on each floor! As far as the music goes, I've seen so many good acts here - Sofi Tukker, Metallica, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Thom Yorke, Soulwax, Charlotte Gainsbourg - and that's just in the last year alone. Coming up I'm excited to see Rostam and Phoenix! Not only all this but the Hollywood history of the building is really cool. I personally love the outrageous Bosch wallpaper. Give the history a Google!
I love it, the concert was pretty good, with friends and family ..the place has an architecture of the late 1920's beautiful...
I love this place. Great concerts here and intimate. Bathroom are really clean and security and staff aren't jerks. Pleasant experience each time.
The Fonda Theatre was an awesome place to go to see a concert by a pretty cool band. The venue itself is a little smaller, leading to that intimate feel you won't find in any stadium-style arena. Getting that close to the artists makes for a much better experience in my opinion. I was in the standing room on the floor, which was great, but there are also balcony seats overhead if you'd prefer to be seated during the performance. The foyer is a little dim and the bathrooms aren't extremely clearly marked, but they're just in the side of the foyer. The bar is also close to all the action, if that's your thing. Parking is easy to find and nearby to the theatre.
Classic concert venues. Saw, George Clinton, Red Hot Chili Peppers and other classic acts.
The area was very dirty and dangerous, during the day. Hate to imagine what this place is like at night.
Great staff and a security team that knows what's up. We have fun and stay safe
Great place for everyone. Kids. Aunts. Aunts kids! Everyone!
Great sight lines, ample nearby parking, good sight lines, and a rooftop bar make this one of the best venues in LA. Not to mention good food is available nearby or at the cafe located inside.
Nice small theater. Great place to see a show. Floor is standing room only but if u need to sit the balcony has seat. Outdoor roof patio is really cool too.
Great venue. Fyi, strict security (bag check, metal detector) and they even made me throw my gum away. But good sound and great medium sized space to see your fave bands and artists
Good venue, small enough to see the band, big enough for a full stage show. Great sound and lights for Markus King.
Interesting decoration. Had a great time at the concert last night.
It was incredible! The place has restrooms and a bar. A staff on the balcony level was really cool and social.
A great intimate venue for any type of performance.
This theater holds small concerts with different vibes. It's young, hippy and comfy, I went here for Tiffany Young concert, a member of SNSD Korean music band. I like the care free vibe here with not too big or too small standing area for the audiences, good lighting good sound. The bar area offers alcohols, handy to grab and come back to the concert. Parking is expensive but unavoidable since this is LA downtown.
A AA MMMAZzing!!!! Keifer..Killed it, looking forward to seeing Moonchild . Great Venue.
Cool Venue! Neat artetecture and stellar mood lighting!
Came here for an Alec Benjamin concert and had a total blast!
Real old Hollywood hang out go upstairs and sit in balcony seats!!
Ask if they're open....
Big smoking area up stairs out side...
The ambience and decor is second to none. And it's a small theater for enjoying an intimate show experience.
Best place to catch a rock show in Hollywood. Booze up next door and get your fix for live music at the one and only Fonda. It doesn t get any better.
Cool spot for concerts. Saw Watsky there twice, both in 2016 and 2019!
Don't buy a beer, just wait for someone to spill one all over you. Much cheaper that way.
Came here to see Azealia Banks. She was late, low energy, low budget, basic and wack. But this place is sooooo gorgeous!! I left Midway through her set and just started wandering around upstairs. I love this place.
Went to see Tiffany Young and the venue was perfect!!!
In comparison to smaller venues, this one is up there on the favorites list. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy parking.
Came here for trivia night recently and it was pretty fun. The chicken wings are really tasty, and you can't beat the 31 cent happy hour price!
On a Friday night there's usually a line out the door, a cover, and the place turns into a club. Not such a fan of the club.
Old school vibe on the outside, clean setup inside. Balcony and rooftop bar leave plenty of room to avoid the crowd.
Fun venue with nice decor and great lighting. :) There is parking right next door for $20 but if you park maybe 2 or more blocks away the parking tends to be $10.
Intimate theater, great for live music. Expensive drinks!
Only one or two venues in the city are better than the Fonda. Downstairs is top close and personal. Upstairs is ok shop check your tickets. They ate very strict since the Tom Petty debacle she the fire marshals shut down the show because everyone was downstairs. They gave people a chance to go upstairs but no one did and that was the end of the show.
Older theater // Perfect venue to see a band. Bar lines go quick // Women's restroom is a tight squeeze. Saw Sofi Tukker here - perfection!
Great place to see a live show. General admission or the balcony. Do yourself and favor and take the Metro, it's a very short walk, parking can be expensive and a pain.
Had a Bitchin Experience , Loved the Balcony and Rooftop Patio..
The venue is cozy and intimate. Entrances and exits are well planned out. Security is even kind enough to hold unallowed items during show. However parking isn t necessarily ideal, I was charged over twenty dollars for the night. Other than that I had a great time watching my fav artists perform.
These were taken at a Cuco concert, there s the man himself and another pic of the opening band Los Retros.
Nice intimate venue with good sound acoustics if you don't mind the lack of seating. Easy access from freeway and plenty of close parking.
Good small venue. Decorated like the haunted mansion. Staff is polite
Omgoodness has anyone seen the inside of this building? It was beautiful and I got to see snow patrol there! Bartenders were super awesome!
We celebrated the 80s Prom here and it was a BLAST!!!
Fantastic intimate venue! You'll see a bar when you enter but PRO TIP, keep walking. Everyone stops at the first bar they see and the bar on the stage side is way empty. Way more kept than I thought (being in the heart of Hollywood) 5 stars. (Disclaimer - I didn't not visit the restrooms during my visit)
