Very fun venue. Parking right next to it cost way too much. Go find a cheaper lot and walk over. Trust me. Otherwise I really like this place. Sound system is great for really bass heavy shows.

One of the best mid-sized venues to see a show. Great acoustics and just the right size - big enough to draw mainstream acts, but small enough where you can see everything. I've been here many times and never had a bad experience! Security just involves going through metal detectors. Park in nearby lots for 10 bucks. Cocktails are about 11 dollars.

Really nice venue. Cool "vintage" look to the whole place. Didn't really feel cramped anywhere except the upstairs bathroom. Comfortable roof top patio "smoking area" with a projetion and speaker system so you know what you're "missing"

Babymetal performed here in July 2014, as the 15th day of their tour for that year. It is his first presentation in the United States, Moa is transferred by ambulance due to a heat attack due to a momentary failure of the enclosure's heating system.

This is one of my favorite music venues in LA. It's intimate enough that you can get up close to the stage, bathroom lines move fairly quickly, they have a full bar. Parking can be found at a number of different parking lots nearby.

This is a really neat venue. Very intimate and small venue so you really get to experience the event at its best. That is if the performance is good. Saw grandson here last night and he absolutely crushed it!

This is a great venue. It's got a really pretty inside, the floor in front of the stage is sloped for better views, it sounds great, it's got lots of bathrooms, and possibly my most appreciated aspect of the theater is that they have plastic cups by the water fountain so you don't have to buy overpriced concert water.

I had an awesome time seeing a sold out Palaye Royale concert there but there was one security guard who was rude to me because yes I admit I did sneak into the afterparty for Palaye Royale but the one short heavy black woman security guard said I snuck in twice but I didn't and Kenneth was going to try and get me in and believed me and not his co-worker.

Saw Chicano artist Cuco play at the Fonda last month on Valentine s day. It was my first time going to the Fonda & had An amazing time. At the end of the show, about an hour after it was over, a lot of fans (including myself) met Cuco from the back entrance of the Fonda (it s in an alley close to the LA Fitness parking). I m assuming that s where a lot of the artists exit out from. The show was sold out and had two levels. ((All was GA.))
The bathrooms were clean and had a lady cleaning very often.
As for drinks, two alcoholic drinks were $30 which can be average or a little pricy for some people out there. ((It was a fireball & vodka tonic.))
AS FOR PARKING, the Fonda was charging $25 but if you just drive around the corner to N. El Centro Ave & Vista Del Mar Ave. you can find parking for $10 at the LA Fitness parking lot.

The area is nice and with lots to see and do, if you are walking the Boulevard. Be warned there are not really any public restrooms in the area except here at the theater. The sidewalks are also kind of dangerous. They are missing chunks of the sidewalks, uneven sidewalks with pieces sticking up at random. One of our companions fell in an area missing part of the sidewalk and broke her hip .

Was a blast seeing Gary Clark Jr here and Nujabes last year. Small intimate setting to enjoy an up close and personal show. Staff is great, but they could improve on the decor possibly. Saw some peeling wallpaper left of the stage

Small cozy corner for great shows of your favorite artists/bands playing live. There is a ticket booth, beautiful decor inside, kind of gothic themed if not already. There is a bar inside, and a balcony upstairs for better viewing.

I ve been going to this theatre for concerts through the many name changes. The sound is great and I love this venue. I ve never had an incident at any show where we needed security but this time we did. There were some super drunk guys hanging on me and this girl next to me and singing in our ears while basically on us. I nicely asked them to back up a little and that they were invading our space. There was a ton of room in our area and no need for them to be that close. The guys got super butt-hurt and became even more obnoxious while keeping there arms behind them and pushing up on us while yelling ohhh boo excuse us don t invade her space while still invading our space. One of the other guys had his arm basically resting on my head to record the show. They were aggressive and gross and doing this to a group of women. My friend asked me if I was okay and I said no she dipped and got security.

The security handled it so well they were so fast and professional. They followed my friend with the quickness and asked me really quickly what happened then asked the guys what happened. I knew the guys would lose their cool cause they were drunk idiots and they proved to security that they were out of control by just how they responded to them. Security kicked them out fast. Everything was handled so well I can t express this enough. I have even more love for the Fonda after this experience.

SHOUT OUT TO TERRY, KENNETH, ELIJAH, and WILLIAM! The true MVPs of the night. You made us feel safe in a weird scary situation I truly appreciate you all for your hard work.

Last night was my first time at the venue, and I very much enjoyed my experience! The line was long to get into the concert, though. I ve never been to a show where the line was still around the corner a half hour after doors opened, but the process was pretty straightforward, and in the end it made sense why they broke up the entry process. The bathrooms were not crowded at all, which was really surprising for a concert venue. The balcony was kinda empty (even though the show was sold out) which was great for people like me who don t really love large crowds, or want to see a show from above. It was rather unclear whether or not the seats were first come first serve, or if people bought them, but besides that, I really enjoyed myself. The drinks are reasonably priced for a concert venue; I think I paid about $12 for a cocktail, and five dollars for a red bull. It s larger than other venues like the troubadour or hotel cafe, but I ll be back!
