Quite busy at all times, especially the free entry on Friday evening. But definitely worth it going back! (closes early during the week - as all other museums in the city so better come earlier) great collection

This is a well known and great museum. Its permanent collection has some very famous works, including Starry Night and The Persistence of Memory by Dali. But I personally more enjoy the temporary exhibits. Some is more traditional with paintings and such, but there was also an interesting one on Yugoslav architecture when I was there. The most memorable for me though were the ones that used space and sound in interesting ways. Kind of hard to describe but as art goes, it was unexpected and fresh.

An amazing collection makes the MoMA a highly recommended destination. Beware though that it does get quite crowded around holidays. You can buy tickets online though to skip the long lines at the entrance.

A one of a kind experience in the big city! A must see for people visiting around the world! The main atttaction has to be Starry Night by Van Gogh. They also have a small selection of Pablo Picasso and Claude Monet among others. Some renovations are happening now, so excuse their appearance but I will be going back very soon! Cafe and gift shops are available as well as a structure garden. Coat check if visiting in the winter and small bags are ok. Only one elevator for handi-accessible but great! Enjoyed every exhibit very much!

A feast for the senses. Become a member and take advantage of the early member access times to avoid the insane press of humanity and cameras around Van Gogh's The Starry Night. There are equally fascinating and beautiful works right in the same gallery as TSN, but don't tell the tourists! Then you'll have those lesser- known works to yourself to enjoy.

One of the top modern art museums in NYC. The artwork you find there is very unique by the most prestigious artists in the world. The venue is very well maintained and beautifully designed.

Superb museum, definately woth visiting.
Firsly I thought that there will be just various painting, but museums content have surpased the expectations. There so much to see, that you should consider to spend here mayor part of the day. You will find here everything from little artefacts to, of course, paintings and even small buildings.

Beautiful artwork, lots of variety. I happened upon the museum on one of their free nights. Love that it was free but would honestly rather have paid the $25 entrance fee than battle the crowds. It was too packed and difficult to see some of the pieces and much too loud and crowded to focus on anything.

MoMA is free on Friday from 4-8. There was no queue by the time I got there at 5. I saw some incredibly famous paintings. The crowd waa mainly around those paintings so it was hard to take time to admire them without people taking photos in front of you. But I like that the art is available for free to the public.

It simply is one of the best experiences to live, it is amazing to have Warhol, Jones, Monet. Van Gogh Dali's (among so many others) work in front of your eyes. Along with the three musicians by Picasso (for me the best painting ever). There the store is cool and not as pricy as one can think. Cool souvenirs to give at a reasonable price

I took advantage of 'Free Friday' to line up half way around the block with a relaxed and chatty mix of tourists and locals who were obviously interested enough in modern art to make the effort - and I doubt any of them were disappointed. More intimate than the Met, probably because of a clearer focus, and yet airy and open enough for a huge crowd to move through with ease. The greats of modern art are well represented, and there are some pleasant surprises as well.

Exhibits ome of the most important Western art, stating with impression to today's multimedia installations. Includes live performances and an ongoing film series at an adjacent building. Too much to do in one day. Had a blast.

It was so much nicer and intriguing 10 years ago. It has become similar to a shopping mall with escalators defining more or less the path. It got rid of nearly all the objects of design only keeping a small section dedicated solely to pc and mac history. Obviously there is still a galore of amazing paintings but nothing like what it used to be. Sad.

6 floors of some of the greatest masterpieces on earth including Van Gogh s Starry Night. Other works include Picasso, Pollack, Matisse, Monet, Klee, Kandinsky, Gauguin, Warhol, and many many more. Every period of art is represented here and truly magnificent. My daughter loved it too!

So if you get directions to MoMA you will most likely be sirected to 53rd street entrance. Then you will have to walk around to the 54th street entrance, so be weary to that. If you come here with a back back or shopping bags - you will be required to check it with coat check. The lines were pretty long for drop off so that blew a good 20 minutes of our allocated time for MoMA. The layout inside of the galleries is strange. People walking all over each other in here. Not what I expected from such a high regarded art museum.

Where modernity, humanity and artistry collide in ...

Where modernity, humanity and artistry collide in a cascade of eclectic creativity. Human exuberance exemplified through the abstract and the organized. MOMA explores the meaning of life, emotion, and the transcending of society, culture and time. Colour and mediums flow as much at the paint and film that made the art. The only thing structered about this place is the architecture of the building itself. It is probably the most captivating part, open concept combined with intellectual framing, creates an art piece holding the art. Specifically loved the photography section, which explored unique ways to frame, display and cover a moment in time. However, If you look to find meaning through art you might as well start with the number 42. Sometimes abstractivity lends itself to clarity, most of the time it's child's play.

I loved the yellow virgin you have outside. I can really relate to her bc I once dreamed the holy spirit got me pregnant just like her. Was that a sign? We would never know. God bless you all.

Wonderful museum to visit. The free coat check is wonderful to be able to leave all items in a safe place while visiting, make for a much more pleasant visit. We visited with 2 kids and found it easy to maneuver and especially liked that all the famous works we wanted to see were on the same floor!

It's culturally diverse, the art is beautiful and the structure on the outside is just spectacular. Not recommended for people with small children or people who expect to make a short trip around.

Visited on a Saturday in early December, so "busy" was an understatement. I had a City Pass C3 so I skipped the line. I had a few hours to spend, but being so crowded I got to see very little of the massive collection.

There were no exhibit maps detailed enough for a quick visit (contained mostly eras/themes) so I ended up Googling the floors on which some of the more well-known pieces were. Spent an hour or two on floors 4 and 5 to see Pollock, Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and Warhol.

Because of the crowd, I was unable to see much or spend time admiring pieces. But I enjoyed seeing some of art's most celebrated masterpieces.

I would have been deeply disappointed without paintings from van Gogh, Monet, or Picasso. Very spacious and one could spend a whole day here. Very efficient coat check and friendly staff. Food cafes on premises.
