My family and I had a HORRIBLE experience at the Starboard Wendys located at 1709 Colonial Heights Blvd, Colonial Heights, VA on 8/5/15. Store #00000701
First, when we arrived we stood at the front counter and waited for 10 minutes before we saw the first employee. We were greeted or should I say not greeted at all by little miss Tenaju B. Who I might say had the worst attitude of a "server" that I had experienced. Not once did she say hello, I am sorry for the wait or more importantly, May I take your order. She stood at the register as if I was the one inconveniencing her. We placed our order and was tossed our drink cups after we had to ask for them.
Several minutes later only part of the order was placed on a tray. 10 minutes go by and one more part of the order comes...now by this time the first part of the order is freezing cold. Finally after waiting for 20 minutes, we get our complete order. (minus the fries that she insisted that she gave to us on a previous tray but we never received)
My son bites into his cheeseburger only to find LINT stuck to the patty. Not a small piece but a large ball of lint. When he took it back to the counter and told little miss Tenaju, her response " Well I aint got nothin to do with that". My son asks to speak to a manager who then makes his way from the kitchen area to ask what he wanted...not "how may I help you. When my son said that there was something in his burger not one time did he apologize but said what is it and I will make another with the most disgusting attitude. By this point, we are all just disgusted, as is most of the patrons in the Wendy's who have already placed orders or were waiting to place their own order. People started pulling food out of bags and double checking food to be sure that there was nothing in it.
We were not offered an apology, a discount....anything!
We threw our cold food away and the newly made burger and left the restaurant. We were forced to go to one of your competitors and spend more money so that we could have dinner.
Now, I do not run a restaurant or a franchise but I do run a healthcare company and I do it successfully. If anyone in my company acted with such disrespect to one of my patients they would be asked to leave on the spot.
I understand that it is fast food and an upscale restaurant however, If I choose to come into your establishment and spend my hard earned money, I expect respect and certainly edible food.
I am highly disappointed in my visit to your restaurant and I will NEVER be returning.
