Very beautiful museum with wonderful art expositions
The second best museum in NYC, please make sure that you will wear a pair of comfy shoes or sneakers, as you may spent hours walking inside.
Amazing exhibits, but the curation and commentary is what really makes this place amazing.
Really nice museum with an outstanding collection of artwork.
As most museums it has a short description of each piece and in addition you can get a audio guide, you would be surprised about the meaning that every piece has hidden. It all begins to make sense when you listen to it so I highly recommend it.
The infamous "Starry Night" is here and all of their great early post war art.
Besides the Met, MoMA is a must see museum in NYC and has the famous Starry Night by van Gogh. Wonderful permanent collection and Stephen Shore (until May 28) and Tarsila do Amaral (until June 3) exhibits were most enjoyable. Unfortunately the Terrace 5 restaurant was not as good as I recall from previous visit several years ago. I spent a casual 4 hours here.
Minimum one hour. Go to their website for recommended routes. Start on 6th floor and work your way down. Starry Night is a must see.
Very small museum. Level 5 was worth the visit, the rest not so much.
I always think of the Met first when I'm deciding which NYC art museum to visit, but MOMA is a very close second! There are so many world class masterworks here that you will definitely have a great time. The crowd on a Saturday in April made it a busy place, but there weren't so many people that I couldn't see everything that I wanted to. You should definitely make it a priority if you're in Manhattan for more than a couple of days.
A private tour after hours is a great way to experience the gallery. Our group was rather large (more than 10) and moved at a leisurely pace through some impressionist, cubist, and abstract highlights.
Great museum. You should definitely check this out.. The exhibitions were all very interesting.
Loved it! They have so much to show, and it will even be better in October when they're done with the renovations. Would certainly go there again.
What else can be said about a world class collection of the finest modern art?
Great collection showcasing some classics and contemporary pieces, spacious walkways and galleries, well maintained and great staff guidance. Do come earlier in the day if you wish to catch a guided tour.
Must visit for any art enthusiast, especially if you like modern artists. As a lover of post-impressionist art I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Some unmissable works by Cezanne, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso and likes are found here.
Very busy on free day but the employees and everything easy. If you don't have a coat to check you can go right in and explore the 5 floors of art!
One of the world s great museums. In an unstated way MOMA highlights the power of the U.S. after World War II when the wealthiest of New Yorkers purchased the most outstanding modern art produced by European artists and brought these works to America and added works from a new wave of American artists. Start at the upper floor first to begin with the permanent collection. But be sure to check out the always interesting temporary exhibits. Buy your tickets online to avoid the line for purchasing tickets at the museum.
Went thru MOMA in late summer 2016, the exhibits were good and interesting. It has has a wonderful collection of Pollack's. MOMA is a must see in NYC.
Though i dislike modern art
it was still entertaining to go
Robbed us. They have a terrible bag check, we missed our bus because of them. Totally unaccommodating. Took us over 30 minutes to get our bags back. We had to pay $72 for new bus tickets. I want a refund. Update: they refunded me the museum ticket price and offered us new tickets when we return.
This is the most important modern art museum in the world. It covers the late 19th century to the present day, with highlights including Picasso's Demoiselles d'Avignon or Van Gogh's Starry night.
Incredible collection. Outstanding organisation. Friendly staff, cool souvenir shop
Never-ending stream of interesting expressions of the human way of looking at our world! Definitely a must see! Take the audio gear along your tour..
Great exhibitions presented
I loved the display with cardboard future worlds!
