Called in a order on my lunch , around 1140 got there at 12pm . Went to where u pick up call in orders all the workers where just standing around chatting no one greeted me and asked if I needed help or checked me out . One girl walked up to the register didn t say anything printed a receipt and left . Apparently Christa could only ring me out 15 min of waiting food was cold . I never had that type of experience before !!! It really had me upset

On a budget? Order a single breakfast, like waffles and fried chicken, and ask for 2 plates. They really serve enough for two people! Delicious food, attentive service, even during busy hours.

Love, love, love Metro Diner. If you want fantastic comfort food at a reasonable price with friendly service this is the place for you. Or if you just want a hamburger that uses grilled cheese sandwiches for a bun this is also the place for you.

Anytime I go I am never disappointed by the food. Everything was delicious and you NEVER have to flag down a waitress. Every waitress is YOUR waitress. They all have eachothers back which leafs to happy customers. If you arrive and there is a wait do it. You won't be disappointed.

I ve had the opportunity to eat at the Baymeadows & Southside location a few times, and each time was a miss for me. Every visit I looked forward to experience I ve heard so many people rave about. The quality of taste was just not there for me.

Reasonable prices, fantastic food, great service.

Reasonable prices, fantastic food, great service.
I had the signature Chicken and Waffles and found the Fried Chicken to be perfectly cooked, and downright addictively seasoned. The strawberry butter is a simple yet brilliant addition.

The limited menu has been the cause of my limited visits lately. Luckily on this visit I was able to talk them into making me a Pittsburgh sandwich even though it isn't on the current menu. I think the person salting the fries may have forgotten to put the top on the shaker too. Otherwise everything was good and the wait staff was outstanding as usual.

The Metro Diner is my current favorite breakfast spot. They have a large variety of foods. I love the relaxed atmosphere. My waitresses have always been very polite and keep the refills coming. My personal favorite breakfast food is the chicken biscuit. They make very yummy cheesy grits too (coming from a northerner!) My husband loves the Bissell breakfast that provides him with a platter of breakfast foods for only $10. The prices are pretty reasonable and the portions are generally pretty large. I have yet to try something from Metro Diner that I didn t like. The only thing to be aware of is that Sunday mornings it gets VERY busy during breakfast. The diner is next door to a church so there are a lot of people who go before or after church on Sunday mornings. Amazing place overall!

Get ready to experience some amazing comfort food. Visited the Jacksonville Florida location on Baymeadows. There will be a slight wait during the am peak hours, however it s worth it. The food is great. Staff at that location was very friendly and helpful.

Giving it 3 stars because of the cooks. I counted THREE cooks NOT WEARING a mask!! They were wearing them as chin straps instead!! NOT OKAY!

Our waiter was GREAT! Very attentive during a busy brunch rush. Food was yummy!

Simply delicious and a lot of food for the money. My family and I have been to the beaches and Southside Metro Diners & they do NOT disappoint. You can have breakfast all day long! The food is really good and they have a lot of choices. Also, the employees are great. I recommend ordering the Yo Halla On The Square (pic included) as a dessert, but don't go it alone. Sorry for not including pics of other plates. Forgot about it until it was too late. I know, I know... "Amateur!".

100% a 5-star diner! Can't believe the service quality given the customer volume. Very personalized experience, delicious food exactly the way we ordered it. Outstanding attention to detail on customization requests and very timely service. Austin certainly treats this like a profession!

Disappointed in last visit on July 10. So unusual. Service was great but medium well burger was dry and bread didn't seem as fresh as time before. Fries were not good-not crisp and "off" taste. Not normal for MD!

It's the neighborhood place to go. Happy staff, service supreme, food served hot and plenty of it. Good hot coffee. The breakfast special of the day is outstanding. My heart goes out to all the eateries that have had to lessen the number of tables and clients due to the virus. Hope we soon will be able to enjoy our lives as before.

Since going corporate this place has gone down hill. They are focused on quantity not quality. They serve sandwiches no human can take a bite of, which turns into a hot mess creating an unpleasant experience.

This place is either a hit or miss. You can come in and the place smell like mold, get burnt chicken fried in dirty oil, old fries with burnt chicken pices in it that was at the bottom of the fry basket for who knows how long, wait 20 minutes to get your drink, an HOUR or more for your food OR you can have a great server with delicious food. Youlll never know they are not consistent at ALL. Good luck

Great food, terrific service. Be prepared for long waits if you have party greater than 4 people. If you have a larger party, you won't get on seating list until EVERYONE is present!!!!

Been to this location of Metro a couple of times. They're famous for breakfast, but we always seem to find ourselves there at late dinner time.

So the Metro is nothing special to look at - just a couple of rooms with cheap-ish tables and chairs and an open kitchen. Pretty much what you'd expect from anyplace with "diner" in its name.

But the food is very good. The Monte Cristo sandwich is dead-on what I remember from the old Bennigan's restaurants (and since that was a signature item for them, it's truly tasty) and the pot pie is just like mom used to make (if mom made them from scratch. The only "meh" I've had so far are the fries, which tend to be a little dry and mealy.

Service is very good as well. The staff is cheery and quick and you consistently get what you ordered with no mistakes.

Finally, the pricing is really good. My wife and I can eat there and come out quite full for under $30. Good food at a good price with good service is hard to beat.

1st time here and I was impressed. The entire staff was friendly and very upbeat. The kitchen staff were all happy and actually singing together as they worked. This says alot about the management and it says that the employees are happy. I ordered the southwest wrap...it was HUGE and delicious! Definitely coming back
