Been to this location of Metro a couple of times. They're famous for breakfast, but we always seem to find ourselves there at late dinner time.

So the Metro is nothing special to look at - just a couple of rooms with cheap-ish tables and chairs and an open kitchen. Pretty much what you'd expect from anyplace with "diner" in its name.

But the food is very good. The Monte Cristo sandwich is dead-on what I remember from the old Bennigan's restaurants (and since that was a signature item for them, it's truly tasty) and the pot pie is just like mom used to make (if mom made them from scratch. The only "meh" I've had so far are the fries, which tend to be a little dry and mealy.

Service is very good as well. The staff is cheery and quick and you consistently get what you ordered with no mistakes.

Finally, the pricing is really good. My wife and I can eat there and come out quite full for under $30. Good food at a good price with good service is hard to beat.
