Food was delicious however it was cold. The restaurant was not busy at the time but our server disappeared for a long time and the food was probably just sitting at the window. Best chicken and waffles and chicken pot pie. Just very disappointed about the service

Food is just DELICIOUS. Service was a little slow today and it was a Thursday so no excuse...pretty empty.

Bread tasted a wee bit old when I went, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. They offered something different, or to take the dish off the tab... So they obviously strive to please. I'd give them another couple of shots, for sure.

Don t go here for dinner! A $15 meal shouldn t be brought out ice cold. Service was horrible on top of it. Disappointing is an understatement

I ordered the French dip. Standard good. But, my friend ordered a PB&j burger with bacon and fried jalapenos.

It, was, heavenly! Oh my divine. Id go back for that. Also tried the key lime pie. Was pretty good too. Service was ok, she was nice enough.

The food is always good at Metro, and so far it has not mattered which one. There was a screw up in the to go order and I would imagine most people would give a low score. I choose not to because of the customer service. They recognised tue problem, owned it and then fixed it. They did this in a professional and courtious manner. The staff is a reflection of good management.

This was my first visit to metro diner and honestly my expectations were a little low. We had a large group so the wait time for a table was 45+ minutes. After waiting outside for about 30 minutes "Jay" came to ask if we wanted any water. Brought us 12 Togo cups of water that changed our expectations a little. After finally sitting to order "steph" promptly took our orders and brought coffees. Even with a large party such as ourselves she did not make any mistakes on orders and even the food came out on time. I really only wanted eggs and bacon and luckily they have a protein breakfast that comes with 4 eggs, bacon, and sausage. I wasn't even hungry when we went to the restaurant but of course I ate all the food and it was so satisfying. The flavor was amazing. Thank you metro diner for being so awesome. I will come back next time I get the urge to go to IHOP. You food is 1000x better. Lastly I would like to give a special thanks to "Lila" our greeter, was phenomenal. Had her service to us been sub part with a 45+ minute wait we would have gone to another restaurant

Had the beef tips for dinner and they were mediocre at best

this location is one of my favorites. i had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. menu is similar to a restaurant in jacksonville i loved.

Food is always delicious here and brought out quickly. I had the chicken and Belgian waffles. The chicken was cooked so tender and juicy asking with the perfect combination of seasoning that i didnt even use syrup with the light fluffy waffles.

I decided to give this restaurant a try and I was very pleased by the friendly service and great food, our server was very polite and helpful we got our food very quickly. I highly recommend

The food is made fast and so good. The manager was super nice. I recommend this place!

Always a pleasure coming to this location. My wife loves the traditional Eggs Benedict (there are several variations, including the original style). I am partial the the hash browns with caramelized onions with a few over easy eggs. They do have daily food and drink specials, which provide a unique variety. I'm not a big fan on the flavored coffee, but I hear it is good when they offer it. All-in-all, great local diner with several locations. Take-out is also great here.

This particular Metro is my favorite, and I am a Metro fan. Outstanding friendly service, menu items that you can't get everywhere (creamed chipped beef on toast), and well-executed meals. It is a pleasure to dine here.

So I called earlier this week for info on a to go thanksgiving meal. The associate I spoke with told me I could order turkey and ham but it will cost extra because it was either one or the other.
Today I called to order and pay for the dinner and asked for turkey and ham and I ll pay extra
I was told no because there was a button on the register to ring up the extra meat.
Bye.

Nothing on menu is bad, great option for breakfast or lunch

We consider this our place of choice. Every meal from breakfast to dinner and in between has been delicious. We have been coming in for 2 year's. Great place

Sunday morning table for 2. Said 20-25 minute wait. Ended up being less than 10. Amazing food and amazing service.

The chicken and waffles with strawberry butter is too delious. My server Jamie K he was the best! Always great food and service! So glad they extended they're hours!

These food was amazing and one of kind. Manager did a great job and so did the staff. Will definitely be talking about this place for awhile.

I always thought this branch was overrated. "Best breakfast"? yeah yeah whatever. "Best diner"? yeah sureeeee. But my most recent experience changed my mind. I went for the chicken and waffles my first two visits but coming for lunch i decided it was too late in the day. Our waitress was this honey dip chicken tenderoni named Ashli (probably spelling it wrong) and she was friendly, knew the menu well, and i never saw her without a smile on her face. I got the bold city burger and my mom got some type of chicken salad. To keep this short and sweet; great sauces and flavorings, hot fresh food, big portions, good price. Will come back again and ask my waitress for her hand in marriage to find out the secret to the garlic aolio spread. Thanks Metro Diner for the great experience

This was my first time visiting this location, and it was just as good as the original. Their Ruben Sandwich is huge and the taste is fantastic. Great place to bring out of town guests!

Chicken and waffles was good. But that hot sauce in the syrup was so weird. Im glad the waitress brought normal syrup too.
The chicken was well cooked. The waffles were a tiny bit on the dry side. The strawbery butter was great!

Freaking love this place. Decor isn't much to write home about and the bar area is super tiny, but man is the food good. Everything's hot, fresh, properly seasoned and comes in massive portions. I highly recommend their chicken and waffles (served all day, the online menu is wrong) and their biscuits and gravy. You'll definitely have leftovers, but trust me, that's a good thing.

Locations all over Jacksonville. Usually busy but not too busy to seat you. Chicken and waffles to die for, and a large menu of other diner favorites. Friendly excellent service.

Slow..... My cold sandwich took 15 minutes, fries came 7 minutes later.

Great food, good service, light hearted atmosphere.

We ended up waiting a half hour for a table, but it was well worth it. The service here is great, the food comes quick, and most important of all, it's delicious.

I had the Chicken and waffle, my parents had the Monte Christo special and the corned beef hash. Everything was prepared perfectly.

Was really good and friendly service. Got some things to go also and all of it was really good also.

It's ok... you definitely get a ton of food... but it seems like they're making up for their lack of quality with quantity.

This last visit left a lot to be desired. We've been eating at this particular location fairly regularly for the past year or so and were kind of surprised with the abysmal service that we received. NOT at all typical of Metro or this location specifically. Our waitress Shawna seemed to be going in 10 different directions, and it was apparent on more than one occasion that she was in the weeds with all 3 of the tables that we saw her serving.

As a matter of fact, we watched those tables, which were seated after us, receive their food long before we ever did. When we did finally receive our food, my girlfriend's Huevos Rancheros were cold and had to be sent back. Sad part is that the restaurant wasn't even that busy. Not a good showing Metro, You're so much better than this. :(

Get the croissant French toast...it s seriously amazing. Get some whipped cream on top of you really feel like being a fatty.

Food was awful. service was even worse onion rings fried to a crisp twice!Had to keep calling the waitress for condiments and coffee. I even had a piece of boiled egg in my Reuben sandwich, I'm annoyed that I wasted my taste buds here.

We always enjoy eating here. We have 3 kids, 4 and under and we are always greeted with a smile and great service. The food is always great!

This place was recommended by the locals when visiting Jacksonville. The chicken and waffles were very good especially the strawberry butter that came with them.

Great Service . Food is outstanding. Clean restaurant inside and outside of the building.Every time I go there I try to get something different. Breakfast any time there. Today I tried the fish cod sandwich. It was great. Full capacity on sitting in the dining room. Even during the Covid 19 going on. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I DO recommend this restaurant to other people.Also prices are reasonable too. .

The most RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL service I ve ever experienced. Waited for our obligatory 10 mins, which is fine but then the host calls for brown and me and my pregnant wife proceed to the host station. Instead of the 2 hostess s recognizing that we were clearly there first, as the other couple with name of brown had been there 3 mins, they let back the other couple. So we pointed out that they let wrong couple back and instead of apologizing or trying to make the situation right the one host proceeds to say you re not brown, they re brown as though it s unheard of that many people can have the same last name. I could normally look past this discrepancy, but there were only a total of 6 people waiting in line. It s not that difficult to remember faces or body shapes in such an instance. Will never return here again. If you re smart, you won t either. They care about money, not customers.

Always a pleasure. My favorite place to eat in the world probably. You can close your eyes and order off the menu randomly and not go wrong. Chicken and waffles is probably their signature.

Mero is always marvelous, but this one is located in a hard to get to area depending on the time of day. It's worth the traffic navigation though!
