Caveat it this review with the observation I ve only ever been here for breakfast. This joint is a go to standard for reliability, good eats, And good conversation at the bar seating if you re social. I ve never left unsatisfied. I ve eaten solo, and I ve met colleagues here for a friendly bite before heading out to work. Whenever in Jacksonville, it s nice to have this reliable eatery in my back pocket.

Loved the fruity waffle. Fruit was fresh and waffle was crisp enough to handle the fruit juices. Chicken pot pie was huge and delicious.
Great service! Prices seem very high for what seems like a mid level at best setting. Has the atmosphere of large Waffle House.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Perfect for after church or just to get some great food. The servers are all friendly and like to treat you like you're eating at their house rather than just a customer. Try out the food they recommend as it is REALLY good. It *can* get a little loud in there though so ask for a back room seat or outside if it bothers you. and get there early on sunday because this place gets PACKED!
First time here and is was amazing. Staff was friendly and the Avocado Toast and cheese grits were to die for.

I first became intrigued about after seeing it on an episode of triple D. The servers are really nice and attentive, which is a major plus! I ordered the fried chicken and waffles with strawberry butter and sweet and spicy syrup, and man let me tell you it was amazing! I'll definitely be back again soon!
Some of my favorite dishes are the Cinnamon Roll pancakes, French Toast, Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, Monte Cristo and now the Meatloaf. I've never had a bad meal here.
Ordered the Christmas dinner package, the food was ok. It was packed very sloppy like. And the customer service was not how it usually is. Maybe they were having a bad day. Anyways I won t be ordering anymore big dinners from here. They could have done better all around.

The food is good. The portions are generous, bordering on too large. The prices reflect that, but are not unreasonable. If I had to list a detractor, it would be that the dining room feels cluttered. I just didn't feel comfortable there. I had a breakfast skillet, and it was a challenge to finish it.
I have had both breakfast and lunch at the Baymeadows location over the past two years at least 20 times maybe more. I only had one entree that the vegetables side was not hot. The waitress replaced it, the manager came out and apologized and was sincere and insisted my meal would be no charge despite my thanks but the veggies came out in just a few minutes later and the rest of the meatloaf dish was perfect. Still waived the meal cost. The staff has for me always been upbeat and say thank you. If I had any complaint and this is somewhat the norm for any busy eatery is the noise. Maybe restaurant designers should add noise reduction designs in the construction? A full restaurant at peak times and were all talking is loud. Some of my visits are taking my associates to lunch or a vendor and would like a little more quietness to discuss things. Otherwise zero complaints and will having breakfast tomorrow there!

Always good, always consistent. A good mix of breakfast, sandwiches and dinner meals, like meatloaf. I've never had a bad meal there and I've been to all the locations . Great grilled cheese, BLT, Reuben and even shrimp and grits!

A friend and I had brunch here and he thoroughly enjoyed it for his first time eating at a Metro Diner location. He had the seafood omelet, which did not disappoint, and I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was much larger than I expected. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and one waiter who worked the frint area was very handsome. I'll be visiting again soon for the food and the eye candy.

One of my favorite breakfast spots when I visit family in Jax. With almost too many options they have everything you could think of. The serving sizes are more than enough to make you full. I've never had anything I didn't like.

My 2 daughters and I love Metro! Im obsessed with pound cake French toast and my daughter loves the pulled pork with mac n chz and cornbread waffle! We moved from Daytona and don't have one there. We frequented Dennys. I know. Kinda gross. But hey, its what we had lol. Anyways, Metro is our new Dennys only 1000 times better! I heard Daytona supposed to be opening a location soon.
