This place is always my jam if you want some home cooked food for a good price you need to visit metro diner everything on the menu is divalicious

The food is excellent! Service is great. I noticed the manager is involved in the customers satisfaction and in having a good experience.

I have been coming to Metro for a while, I have always had great meals. The last time I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, the best pancakes I have ever had. If you have to wait to be seated, trust me, it is worth the wait.

Metro Diner is the only reason I get out of bed on Sundays.

Locally owned, delightful breakfast/lunch/dinner spot. Breakfast all day, so I'm a fan. Try the country benedict - replaces the ham with sausage and adds some sauteed onion. People & service is always great.

Had mushrooms bacon burger and union ring's " amazing " I'm 340 lbs and couldn't eat it all ..... GREAT $$$$

Eggs undercooked.....I ordered the special...it was like warm...not good for a fish dish...they gave us no compensation.... very disappointed..

Love this place, and since they're spreading all over the United States... hopefully i can visit more often! great food, large portions!

Had breakfast today and was disappointed. Knife was dirty, coffee luke warm and home fries terrible, overcooked. Wont go there again.

This is probably usually a 4 or 5 star place, but it didn't really even deserve 3 last week. Went for lunch - at noon. Ordered corned beef hash with poached eggs and wheat toast. Hash could have used a little more crust on it, but everything else was Well Overcooked. Toast burnt around edges and the "poached eggs" were basically hard boiled. I Never send food back, but they were just crazy overdone. So server took the small bowl with eggs back to kitchen - left me with the rest. About 10 mins later, she returned to let me know they made them poached well done again, and were working on more. With my hash barely warm still, my eggs arrived - just fine this time - but not the meal I had hoped for. I paid the full price. With iced tea and tip - $16.

It was great! I had the 2 egg breakfast meal and it was alot of food. I was able to take the rest home and ate it the next day. Our waiter, Clent was very friendly and attentive!

Good food and great service. Home fries a little tough, maybe use red or golden variety instead.

Omgeeeee everything I ate was awesome.. anytime I am close to here I will make these a must stop.. omgeee sooo good.. I'm from Jersey so I cant wait for my next visit.. just to eat lol very good and who would have known hot sauce n syrup would make that chicken taste soooo good.. me n 5 of my cousins was in everybody plate.. I can eat here every day

The food was EXCELLENT! The chicken was one step from heaven and the Bold City Burger was a step inside the pearly gates.

Saturday wait for a group was awful. (2 hours!) But the food was awesome!

Food is consistently good, comes out quickly, and servers are always nice and attentive.

I recommend any of their eggs benedicts, boyfriend loves their hash browns and fried chicken.

Always the best food and service every time I go!!!

We ate with my daughter & son in law. I don't remember anyone's dishes but my own. I had their bacon, egg breakfast with French toast which was an upcharge from pancakes. Does it really cost more or is it the change that is the issue? I didn't ask.
Everyone ate most of the generous portions but we did have doggie bags to take home.

Good food & good service. They offer a military discount for us vets and active duty. I assume they include our dependants as well but I didn't ask.

Ordered carry out fish and chips and the pot roast. The fish seemed frozen and pattied and the fries were greasy and soggy. I ve had better fish and chips at Captain D s. My wife s pot roast, which was pictured with an abundance of carrots, contained 1 piece of carrot and a piece of mushroom. It was mostly onions and celery. I had to throw away the fries and my wife was pretty disappointed with her meal as well. This was my second time with Metro Diner and it didn t improve from my first experience. I won t be back.

Long wait at lunch and the hostess was kinda snippy and unprofessional. The food is definitely diner food: greasy and unhealthy. The server brings out the check very quickly. After I paid, he took the signed receipt and I asked for a refill of my coffee. He asked if I wanted it to go and when I said no he replied that people don't usually hang around after they're done eating. Just a little weird to say to someone who's only been there for 45 minutes and wanted to hang sound with the friends he met for lunch. Anyway, not terrible, just not as great as all the hype.

They have been advertising buy one, get one free meals for three different options. We call over the weekend to order, but were informed this is not a weekend deal, which is very understandable. We call back today, a Monday, we were informed they aren't doing it until Tuesday. Sounds like they aren't honoring what they are advertising. Highly disappointed with a restaurant that we frequent and always take out -of- town guest to when they visit.

Ordered a bacon & tomato sandwich toasted & buttered with mustard.... Sent back the first sandwich no butter, But mayo.... Extra try cold toast unbuttered.... THE KITCHEN COULD NOT GET A RIGHT....the managing general partner came over and offered to win the kitchen to make himself..... Our waitress felt bad because she had put the order in CORRECTLY..... Unfortunately with most businesses today you're only as strong as your weakest link.... I LIKE THE METRO DINER AND I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.... I LIKE THE UPDATE CASUAL ATMOSPHERE..

First visit. Diner was busy snd there were plenty of servers. Food came quickly and hot. Huge portions and reasonably priced. Will be back!

Hosts must have a problem counting. Watched 4 groups who came in after me get seated before me. A table for 1, table for 2 another table for 2 and then they prepared a section for 8. THEN I asked where I was on the list and was told that 2 MORE PEOPLE WERE AHEAD. What a JOKE. Save yourself the trouble and try another location of you want to try metro diner. You'll have a much better experience.

We went on recommendation from a friend who said how wonderful the sausages were here. 7 of us for breakfast. Our waitress was attentive and polite through a very busy breakfast service this morning. Clean plates from us all. Everyone at the table said that they would highly recommend coming here. Oh and for the record the country link sausages were the best I have had in Jacksonville

I do love Metro Diner. Due to it's popularity of course it can get a bit crowded and there can be a small wait. I personally dont recall a wait more than 20-25 minutes but I also avoid the busy time frames (like any time on a Sunday). Good food great variety in the menu. My only gripe is overcooked hasbrowns last time I visited.

A very friendly atmosphere. The place was packed out but the service was quick. Quick to greet you, seat you, take orders and check up on you. Efficiently done with smiles. Great place.... oh and the food was delicious. I had a western omelet and cheesy grits.

Great for lunch or breakfast. Big portion sizes, lots of options, and very tasty food.

Great food, great service! Can't go wrong with breakfast or lunch here. Only problem with Metro is the wait, but every location is like that. I'm a breakfast guy, so I almost always go for an omlette...pro tip, get a side of hollandaise.

What a great breakfast at Metro today!!! We were lucky enough to be seated with Neil. Metro Dinner you have a gem there. He has great customer service skills, he is very professional, and wonderful attitude. He WILL be the server I look for everything I come in. Thank you Neil.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and large portions, quick service, good music- I love it!!

I just ate here for the first time and it was absolutely fantastic! I got the Holy Davoli Burger and that is the freaking bomb. The service was quick and friendly. My cashier was very nice and a pleasure to talk to (and cute, just saying). Unfortunately, my roommates burger was missing some stuff (he had the Bold City Burger). I felt terrible about calling up there but the manager was terrific and very apologetic about it. Overall it was a phenomenal experience and next time they are on my list of places if I decide to have a cheat day.

Walked right in, sat down, and ordered. Food was awesome! Recommend trying the Key Lime Stuffed Waffles special.

Very nice and homey place that gives you a lot of food for your money and the food is so good. They had a wait but it was not long even though we had a party of 10. I especially love the strawberry butter!

Aside from the stellar food and delicious drinks (peach tea here is fantastic) I had to leave a 5star review just for the customer service they offer here as every staff member I've been served by when coming here has been nothing but helpful and always has a positive attitude.

Only been to this place twice and it is always packed, and for good reason! Staff has been very friendly. My last server seemed a bit tired but understandably so. The food is wonderful and it's pretty fast service considering how busy this place is. Definitely recommend!

Always a good meal, and an open kitchen so you can see them cooking yours and everyone else's.

Home feel. Small, retro & classy. Fantastic food. You won't leave hungry. Staff goes out of their way to serve you & make sure your dining experience is a good one.

I don't hand out 5 star reviews often. If I do, you know the entire experience has to be great. All staff members are very friendly, and are smiling. The atmosphere is nice and the food.. Wow! It's very good! If you leave here hungry or upset, it's your own fault. I will be back to try lunch and dinner as well.

As usual, the food was phenomenal, the staff attentive, and the experience positive. I don't feel like I'll ever be disappointed there.

Quite possibly the best diner comfort food in Jacksonville. Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives featured the original location years ago, and even though the publicity brought them increased business and they have opened more locations, the quality of food and service has not taken a hit for it.
