Fantastic location! They re fast and efficient even when there s a long wait. They have awesome customer service and their servers are super personable. We always leave this place with full bellies and smiles on our faces.

This is most definitely a five star kind of place! Our waiter, Jessica was really nice she made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out quick fast and in a hurry. 30 minutes later and my All America Burger was still as hot as it was when it arrived at our table My mother says and I quote "This Philly is has got to be the best I have ever tasted!" We will definitely be back!

Edit! We went back down to Florida and guess what?! We went back to Metro Diner!!! Food was delicious and the waiter wasn't Jessica but, she was still very nice.

This place turned me around on the Metro diner chain! After very disappointing experiences at the Metro on Hendricks, I tried this different location and had a great meal! In addition to the dining area not being so cramped and unnervingly noisy, the service was fantastic. Lauryn is the best waitress I've come across in a long time! And there's plenty of parking spaces in front of the diner.

4/20 update: Dropping them 3 stars. Have been back twice since my "happy visit" and the food and service were bad. Last week had to send back terrible creamed chipped beef. It was flavorless gravy on basically raw potatoes strips they called hash browns- hardly any chipped beef.
I tried Metro again today. Angus burger was overcooked and dry- really needed some kind of sauce. Decided Worcestershire sauce would work, but couldn't find waitress. The hash browns (because I mentioned to the waitress about them being raw last visit) were now overcooked. Toast barely toasted and unbuttered. Looked again for the waitress for coffee refill- not to be found. Was waiting tables in other room.
I'm done with The Metro. Obviously I expect too much from them and see most are happy with their food and service, so time to move on.

My original preferred location is closed for dinner so next closest is twice the distance but well worth it! Worth the drive. Still great menu and friendly staff! Smoked pastrami sandwich is incredible!

My BFF & I went for breakfast on a Monday morning, we had to wait no more the 10 minutes to be seated. Our server took good care of us. I had Belgian waffles, bacon & eggs. My friend had chicken which included breast, wing, thigh & breast & waffles, our meal was delicious. Highly recommended.

Put our name on the list. Wait was 15 minutes. Waited outside in the 80 degree weather for someone to call our name and 20 minutes later went inside to check on our table and the staff lady said someone stole our name ! The lady said this happens all the time and that she was sorry, but This is the 2nd time this happened to me and my wife! This is unacceptable. So unless you are waiting inside right next to the server booth, you will get your name stolen or skipped....why don t they have pagers like other restaurants?! Conclusion: we went elsewhere.

Great comfort dining! After seeing it on Triple D w/Guy Fieri I knew it was going to get the attention it so rightly deserves! The pancakes are amazing, hash and corned beef just right and ANY EGGS BENEDICT PLATTER will make your stomach happy!
The service is perfect and the wait time is usually 10-15 minutes which is hard to believe because the portions are HUGE (which is perfect).
All in all, the right price, the right food and the right service=one of the best diners I've ever been to!
Keep it going!

Huge portions, reasonable prices. The food is amazing and many combinations are very original. The last place on Earth you want to go if you are worried about carbs, fried food, and adding inches to your waist.

Food is good but not sure if it's worth the wait and atmosphere. Tables are pushed very close together to accommodate more people but it makes it hard to have a conversation or hear the person /people you're with.

I went with a friend for a late(ish) lunch. The place wasn't busy and we were seated right away. The server was nice and all, but I ordered the shepherd's pie and it contained lima beans and corn, which were not listed on the menu. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. Server was apologetic and asked if I wanted something else. I ordered the fish and chips. I'm guessing she was waiting with a plate right by the fryer, because I couldn't touch anything on the plate for several minutes while it cooled down. I actually burned my fingers. Once I was finally able to eat it, the breading was soggy and gross. I just peeled it off and ate the fish plain. Then I looked in my drink (sprite, no ice) and there was something tiny and black floating in it. Kinda looked like a bug but I wasn't sure. Maybe not, but there were flies zooming all over the dining room, so who knows. My friend and I sought out the manager and told him all of this. All he did was apologize and offer a WATER to go. WTH?!?!? No effort to make it good at all. Oh, and the ladies' room was filthy with trash all over the floor and no toilet paper. I used to love metro diner. I know the good locations - south San Jose and Orange Park seem to be the best. This Baymeadows one is a HUGE disappointment.

This food is so delicious, so rich tasting and filling! The team at this location is EXCEPTIONAL! Everyone that communicates with you during your visit deserves a tip, they're that dope! I was visiting Florida and ended up eating brunch here TWO DAYS IN A ROW! The spicy honey chicken biscuit, the bacon, the omlettes and the cheesey grits were a few of my favs. I ate so much!

It was my first visit to Metro Dinner, and I gotta tell you I fully enjoyed my breakfast.
I like my eggs over medium well and it's very hard to get it the way that I like them. Most places make them to hard or to runny and the white burnt, but, they were made just the way I like with soft yoke and well done white Not burnt. Shout out to the Chef love it love it thank you.

Usually pretty good, but half my meal was cold. Our waitress, Nat G, was a rude server who messed up my tables order and well as the one across from us. She never asked to refill our drinks and hardly spoke, had a real issue with taking off a two dollar overcharge. Typically our servers are GREAT! Manager came around and asked how our meal was, and there was an overall pleasant atmosphere. Just wish the service was better.

Not a great experience. As soon as we walked in the hostess gave us a look cause we didn t immediately tell her how many guests. I had to stare someone down just to get service after we got to our table. It seemed like everyone else got a little better service than us. Our server was okay, but she didn t really seem interested in us. Food was good, not great.

I come here from time to time for breakfast/brunch with the kids. Good food one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The staff is very polite and it has warm atmosphere. It's a very popular place and it should be.
