Great food and service! Wait time wasn't horrible even when it was packed. Food came out fast as well.

My dog and I enjoyed outside seating where we were both given water. The food was good and the service was amazing. I have been here many times and never been disappointed. This was the first time bringing my dog and we were welcomed to eat there with no problems.

Nice place to get breakfast. Gets very packed; very quickly, but seating is pretty quick. I've read tons of reviews about how spectacular Metro is, and they do have good food, but i wouldnt say it is worth all of the hype it gets. I felt like the flavors werent there and it felt like just another diner... nowhere near what i expected based off of previous reviews. Overall a nice place though, just dont know that it will be a regular for me

We came to Jacksonville on a long weekend. Had good reviews online. Very delicious food. Great customer service & was very glad to see they practiced social distancing. If ever in Jacksonville it is a must try.

Great good, great service and very clean. Had a social/business meeting on a Monday night and it was good environment and not too crowded

I'm not impressed, haven't really had great food either time I've went my seafood totally nasty but on the flip side they took it off my bill so, no loses. I may give it another try we'll see my friends enjoyed their food.

The food is always good no matter which location you go to. The portions are really big too. My husband and I split the roast meal with an extra side of mashed potatoes (which are delicious). It was more than enough food. Be aware that there will always be a wait. Sometimes it's a half hour, sometimes less.

Great food and service. I wanted a Monte Cristo sandwich but they only make them with cheddar and american cheese. I asked them to substitute swiss for the other 2 and they couldn't. All the sandwiches were already made just waiting to be cooked. So I was a bit disappointed. I finally decided on a bacon mushroom and swiss burger and it was huge and really good. My wife had their reuben a d it was also very good. I recommend that you give this place a try.

I enjoyed eating at this place I had the best chicken and waffles I ain t never had strawberry butter before it made the waffles taste great!

So yummy (except for the avocado toast which needs singe love).

The food was pretty good, however I felt rushed to finish and leave so they could turn the table over. Please allow people to enjoy the meal.

It was absolutely delicious and recommend going, the srvice was good an overall amaxing experience.

Ordered shrimp and grits and was satisfied. Portion was really big, being one of the few times in my life that I didn't clean my plate. Food came out hot and fast, too. We were only there for a total of 40 minutes, and that's with a couple of toddlers.

This place is very popular and probably deservedly so. I think the best thing on the menu by far is the chicken and waffles. The chicken in particular is absolutely delicious. Expect long waits though if you're looking to come here on a weekend for breakfast. Fair warning.

Excellent service, very clean establishment, portions over the top. I tried a flavored coffee that didn't fit my fancy, and was replaced promptly. I had a Reuben and home fried potatoes, requested fried onions and was obliged. The Reuben's bread was a little soggy, so my sandwich was spoiled a little. But, I will be going back.

Food was good. I prefer the metro near the beaches... And at the end of our visit we show a roach.

Would have given it a five because the food was excellent the waitress was very good but the houses was a nimwit I came to eat by myself and several times a one-person spot opened up but she kept putting me off because she gave me a quote of 20 minutes and she was going to hold still to that 20 minutes and the Scots when she put me into a booth that could hold four people that didn't make any sense whatsoever she could have put me at the one person spot I would have been just fine I would have been out of there in time but no she decided to wait the full 20 minutes and give me a 4 person spa. What the hell

Somehow I managed to eat the whole plate of chicken and waffles and I don't regret it one little bit... I'll be back

Metro Diners always have good food, good service & large portions.

A very rewarding experience this place is the best I come here often and I m satisfied with anything that I have eaten. Tonight I had the mike s BLT and the onion rings definitely recommend. Bring your appetite. When I first moved here back in December of last year I asked around about getting some good breakfast and my coworkers recommended metro and me thinking I would need a lot of food. I got the chicken and waffles and the amount of food blew me away. Lol then my waitress said I could have gotten a have of order. Oh well. If your looking for good eats in Jacksonville don t hesitate to give it a try it s more than you will ever expect .

Great service! Food was really good too. Husband's corned beef hash was tasty. I had Huevos Nachos (I think that is what it was called) and it was amazing! Daughter's meatloaf and son's chicken tenders got good ratings too. Portions are share-worthy.

First time there today. Not locals but we will be back. Was pleased with the food and service. My son had the pound cake frwnch toast and loved it!

So good! I'm a Greek from Jersey, so I know good diners. This place is a little taste of home. I've had the reuben and the cinnamon roll pancake and both were fantastic. Only thing that could make it better is if it was open 24/7 like the diners back home.

Metro Melt and Home fries were great. Will visit again. New open later dinner hours, see picture.

Metro is my family's breakfast place. And lunch palace. And dinner place.

My daughter and I stopped by for brunch after doctor appointments. We both chose breakfast items. The food was delicious, the servings huge and the staff pleasant. Even though it was pretty busy, our meals arrived relatively quickly. It is a diner, it is pretty loud, but a great place for food. We will definitely be stopping there again.

Metro Diner has never disappointed. The staff here is always super nice and the food is always good. Me and my SO make this out regular Sunday routine and the manager Jeremy has come to know us by face. Be aware, there almost always is a wait during peak hours, but it s definitely worth it so plan accordingly.

Luckily you can still get the special turkey if you ask...

Not impressed. Bland food. Ordered the American . Supposed to be eggs and steak. Found prices of either chicken or pork in it. Not impressed won't be going back

My second time visiting and less than excited compared to my first visit. I ordered Chicken and Waffles...the chicken (white meat) was very overdone. I'll try that dish another time, maybe earlier in the day.

This was my 1st time at the Baymeadows location (i went last time to the San Marco location and it was a great experience) DEFINITELY NOT AT THE BM LOCATION... I ordered the chicken and waffles... the food was cold and the chicken was soaking with grease..and i only received 2 pieces of waffles... Plus when i went to use the bathroom it was nasty dirty and smelled terrible.. Not again :(

My partner and I ordered the chicken and waffles as well as the big fish sandwich (add cheese which makes it 10x better). The strawberry butter that comes with the chicken and waffles is a real treat. And if the waiter/waitress really likes you they mix syrup and hot sauce for you as your dipping sauce. I never thought of putting those two together even though they both end up on my plate. Def will be returning!

One worker is wearing 2 gloves. Another is wearing 1 glove, still preparing to go orders with the bare hand. Zero masks. The people handing out to go orders wearing no gloves at all. Why not take these precautions?

First apprehension was when i drove around back as i needed to turn around.. The way their receiving /break area is kept is in my opinion a health code violation Then we sat outside and the chair i was to sit on has black mold beneath the seat Ordered eggs over medium (no uncooked white) and medium hamburger steak (burger steak & eggs) egg whites not only runny, but were completely raw and clear Burger steak = dead shoe leather. Mgr did come out and offered a re-make but seeing that it took until my was done with her meal before they checked on us, i declined a remake. He was gracious enough to offer a turkey sand. To go, but at this time i just wanted to get out. My wife's meal (avocado toast , 2eggs, hashbrowns, i had kept the english muffin and sliced tomato her coffee and mine) came to $21.95 before tip. That's after they deducted my meal.
