Booked a package for my husband s 30th birthday. Upon booking, I was told there was a swimming pool and jacuzzi at the spa. When we arrived, I was shocked to learn, they had none of these and only treatment rooms, sauna/steam and a quiet room. I was quite upset as the whole point of the stay was to be able to relax in the spa. Nevertheless, the massages were good and quiet room was relaxing. The rooms are most certainly not up to standard. The pictures are extremely deceiving. I was shocked when We arrived as the room is very basic, dated and definitely not 5* however, the bathroom was large and had a good shower. The bed was soft, the mattress was broken. Each time we laid on it, it would dip. Therefore not 5* quality at all. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. Location is fine but there were lots of beggars at the foot step of the hotel. Prior to arrival, I received a text message from my personal assistant called Edward. Who apparently could assist with any of my needs. I asked to confirm spa close times, he gave me 3 different times. I also asked to confirm my dinner reservation, he told me to call myself. Why offer an assistant who is not of any assistance?!?? Beyond my comprehension. I wouldn t stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This should be a 4* hotel, at best!

Staying for a week for work. While it's not my first time at the hotel, this experience has been much better than the first. I recieved a complementary upgrade to a beautiful room, the staff are very pleasant and it is a very short walk from the nearest tube station. Would definitely recommend.

The staff at check in, lunch and breakfast were very nice, genuine and friendly, well done! The room was not even as good as a premier inn. But what really made me leave this review was the way I was treated on Saturday night just gone. We stayed for two nights Fri & Sat. When we returned from our evening meal at Petrus, my wife walking into the hotel without hinderance. After I paid the taxi and tried to walk in I was interrogated as to my business, I replied that I would like a drink in the bar. The doorman told me I wasn t their type for a drink. I admit I am not a fashion conscious person, but was wearing chinos and a smart shirt under a cashmere jumper.
Yeah I wasn t going to turn any heads but I still expected to be able to enter the hotel I was staying at.

I stayed in this hotel several times. The water is soft so foam of the soap cannot be cleaned from your body. This problem persists since few years. I highlighted the issue to the engineering manager to solve it. But I didn't have any news afterwords.

The May Fair Hotel is certainly among the most luxurious and posh in London.
Sophisticated and minimal furnishings, high-level hospitality, customer care, guest relations, excellent restaurant ... etc ... etc summarizing ... it's perfect!

Came here for 1 night for my birthday and stayed in the deluxe king room. I was just blown away with the service, cleanliness and atmosphere in this hotel. I have never had an experience like it. The staff make you and your stay their top priority which is what everyone wants in a hotel. Little did i know that my partner had organised with the hotel an even better welcome with prosecco, cake and a fruit bowl with no further expense. As I was celebrating an occasion, we was given 2 complimentary breakfasts, again with no added expense. The room was huge, the bed was the comfiest bed i have ever slept in, the bathroom was spectacular and the little added touches like slippers, dressing gowns and even an umbrella just made our stay that extra special. It just goes to show that little details like these really do go a long way. I just hope one day I can return.

Lovely room as you'd expect, air conditioning wasn't great though so was very warm and the bed/pillows we're too soft for my taste. Pleasant, helpful, accommodating staff, gorgeous breakfast. The function room we were in was also gorgeous.

Definitely not a "5-star hotel" but a nice convenient location in Mayfair. Booked a Nonsmoking room that filled with smoke minutes after checking in. Guest services was helpful in changing rooms, but initially asked if we could wait while a housekeeper checks the floor to see if someone on our floor was smoking. They were not, and it was clearly a problem with the ventilation/HVAC between non-smoking/smoking rooms. They were kind enough to offer 2 free drink vouchers for our trouble Spa was nonresponsive to phone calls from room and cell unless we walked down to the desk(absurd) and concierge often said they would call us back - which they didnt - and is unexpected when staying at a property billed as "5-star". Rooms are slightly outdated and food options are not very good for a hotel in the MayFair area. Luckily there are plenty of great resaurants nearby. Wifi was outstanding in the hotel and the cigar bar and tea were nice touches.

I may have been "that guy" with a bad experience this weekend but I was extremely underwhelmed with the MayFair and will not be staying here in my future trips to London.
