I've been attending classes at this studio for a few months now and I'm so glad I found it! The instructors are wonderful and the variety of classes is great. It's a welcoming and inclusive space, perfect for anyone looking to improve their health and wellness.
I've tried many yoga studios, but Focus Barre & Yoga is by far the best! The instructors are excellent and create a positive environment. The classes are challenging but enjoyable, and the studio is clean and peaceful. It's my go-to place for fitness and relaxation! 😊
I ve tried a lot of yoga/barre studios around the city and this one is my favorite. It s on the smaller side but I never feel too cramped, they make sure that everyone has enough space to work out. I ve taken barre with a few instructors and they are all great. Jill is so helpful and is great at helping you fix your posture/moves when you are unsure of what to do. I ve been taking outside yoga sculpt classes with Jamie at Fitler Square and don t let the yoga part fool you- this class is incredibly challenging, in the best way. I always leave feeling amazing and stronger than when I arrived.
I'm a self proclaimed barre addict, so I've only tried barre classes here. This is a very lululemon heavy studio, so it is great if you are already in barre shape (and know how to do the moves). Some of the instructors are so great, but many others are just...okay. I feel like I get a great workout here about 40% of the time, but when I have just an okay instructor, the classes feel rushed and unplanned. The studio itself is on the second floor and is on the small side - it gets very cramped during busy times. They have bathrooms (with toiletries) and small cubbies for your things.
The workout seems super harmless. It seems like typical girly stuff where you just look cute and only move your body minimally and never sweat.
All of the above are true, except that you're workout is actually killler. LACTIC ACID CENTRAL. I can feel my body sculpting and toning into the next Adriana Lima. (not really but ya know, reach for the moon)
The excerices have a lot of small, easy movements, but its the repetition that makes it burn. You start with arms, move onto legs, onto da booty, end with abs. Recommendation for studio: change up the series. Each time seems to be essentially the same with minor variations and so-so music and instructors don't have their individual flare.
I've done ballet for many years, but don't expect a dance-like workout here. The only things that make it ballet-ish are the barre that you do some non-dance stuff on and you do some pliees.
The instructors are hit or miss. As you can imagine, this is the most uppity studio ever with every girl trying to get her sock bun perfect, etc. Just do your thing and you'll enjoy.
Thankful for this donation based yoga studio. I started coming here when I first got into running And needed more stretching. Instructors are helpful and easy to understand. I always come out feeling relaxed and peaceful.
Been here on classpass. I've never taken yoga classes here, only barre. The barre classes are challenging and hit all of your body parts, but the barre studio has carpet which isn't the best. The instructors here just aren't friendly though, and the classes get repetitive. The last class I took here the teacher just looked at herself in the mirror and did her workout, kind of ignoring us.
