Great location... but old rooms & toilets. Badly needs upgrade for their AC heaters... avg food choices for vegetarians
Excellent hotel with great service. Only downside was the loud people outside the nightclub in the evening.
great service. good food. the desserts were a bit too sweet for our liking.
I stayed at this hotel during Christmas time 2019, and I made a noise compliant to the reception. they forwarded me to the Guest Relations Manager which is Ana C. Bara, so I explained to her the situation and she responded ridiculously and disrespectfully by saying that the hotel is full and we should expect that much of noise and she can t offer us an upgrade but only a downgrade to our room which does not make sense ! This is totally inappropriate given that the hotel is a five starts hotel and we should not be treated this way. Other than that, the hotel in general is decent but I will not accept to be treated this way.
Small rooms, but beautiful, clean and modern with style and a sense of glamour!
One of the best place. We was enjoyed there pool and liked the large room.
Wonderful family party which the hotel staff in all departments made very special.
Top class Hotel.Everyone is so friendly and are always there to help you.It was my first time in London andwill definitely stay at the May Fair Raddison again.
Amazing staff very friendly, one of the best suites I've stayed at so far
Great hotel, 5 minute walk to Buckingham palace, steps from Green Park tube stop on the Piccadilly line.
Very stylish bar. Good selection of drinks and excellent service.
The service is friendly and close to the city center. Close to Tesco, Marks & spencer, Sainsbury's.
Went for the Marilyn monroe experience, they made an amazing effort, the food was superb and their China experience was excellent.
Bad experience with the management. I don t understand why you need to give a bad feedback and is answer you .... we improve. Why don t you improve before?
Visited for one of the Microsoft hosted event. Lunch not that many options for vegetarian, saying that scones was delicious for the Tea
Good hotel. Becareful not take a room on the street. Can be very noisy at night
Super hotel. It has everything; cleanliness everywhere, peace, quick and polite service. I recommend!
Stayed here for the night on 3rd Nov, Great location. The concierge on arrival and the entrance look amazing and expensive. But had a fishy smell in the lobby area. However, the staff were polite. Our room was ok but didn't quite match More
Comfortable and large rooms. Good treatment of the staff.
This was a real let down. The cocktails were so watered down. We were expecting something amazing with the special Japanese theme but was very disappointing. Service was slow and we witnessed the bar staff blowing their nose on their mask. I do not recommend and no complimentary cocktails were forthcoming even though we complained. We realise times are tough but no excuse for such poor quality in Mayfair. Expectations were high and did not live up to it.
Transferred to the May Fair from another hotel as they had overbooked so not off to a good start. Staff were welcoming and nice, room was adequate although a little small for the price we paid. Location was good, short walk to shops, food and bars so pleased with this.
Great location, well maintained five star hotel with trendy bar
There are many things to improve. In the bathroom there is no heating system. Just a towel dryer that doesn't even work. And that makes you cold in the bathroom when you get out of the shower.
The ventilation system when I started it sounded like my grandfather's diesel. then it calmed down and it wasn't making too much noise but the weather changes were happening sooo slowly.
If you have to sleep on the right side of the bed, forget about charging your phone as there is no plug on that side. Incredible but true.
The carpet in the room gives yuyu and it's time for change.
This is not a 5 star hotel, at most 3.
If you have breakfast at the hotel, get ready because when you have finished breakfast it will be when they bring you your coffee. Slow no .. the following !!
Although I have to say that when we told them that we were fed up with the coffee being brought to us at the end, then they made an effort and brought it to us in the middle.
There is no place for smokers. nowhere in the hotel. I asked three people and each one gave me a different version.
The windows cannot be fully opened.
The shower is very narrow. More than the one in my house, which is standard, so the shower moment is an uncomfortable moment; Besides that it does not have a shower handle so if you don't want to get your hair wet, you can stand it. Without forgetting that the screen is decorative and all the water in the bathroom came out. a pleasure to step on water all over the bathroom ...
The elevators are maddening. They take time to arrive and take time to activate with what each internal movement was exasperating.
----
The best thing about the Hotel is where it is located. There the qualities end. It is classified as a 5 star hotel but it is not.
The bath water comes out quickly hot and that is appreciated.
There is no noise at night and that is appreciated.
The TV is the cane incorporating the Google-Chromecast so you can see your series from your mobile. A hoot for the hotel. But if you don't have that knowledge, forget about watching any channel in Spanish as they are not tuned in.
another gesture of contempt for the most spoken language in the world!
Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch time here.
Good food, wonderful staff, easy atmosphere.
Toooo loouuddd. You can't sleep. Price vs. Service don't match.
Pros:
1.Good breakfast.
2.Nice Gym.
3.Fast internet.
4.If you are not happy with sth., the reception manager is very understanding and helpful.
5. Next to the underground
Cons:
1.The room was not at all like the pictures on the website.
2.Very expensive, considering the old style, small room.
3.The people in front of the hotel who open the door for you, are very impolite and snobbish. If you go out for a run and come back with sport clothes, they won't welcome you and won't even open the door for you.
4. Very slow and not well maintained lifts.
5. Some of the towels in my room had big brown-yellow spots on them.
6. The buzzers in the rooms are so loud, that if house keeping rings the bell of a room next door or even 3 rooms down the hall, you would wake up in PANIC. By the way sometimes they ring the bell on saturday at 8 O'clock in the morning. Beleive me it is tooooo looooud.
7. The reception is not welcomming at all. As if you are checking in at the airport. They are not receiving you well. Other hotels in the same price category, would welcome you with a glass of champaign, and a basket of fruit.
But here, although I called in advance, the lady on the reception had no idea who I was, and I had to fill out the whole form again, despite the fact that I gave all my infos online while I booked the room. Instead of welcomming us, the first thing she asked was my credit card, and that she hast to book a 300 pound deposit, just in case
8. At breakfast, they are very chaotic. I was asked 4 times from different staff about my room number.
Bottom line, the hotel and the staff are not professional. The price and the service does not match at all. Would not recommend this hotel.
Nice foyer but the rooms are very borimy. Bathrooms nice . No mini bar but there is a Sainsbury local opposite
We ate reasonable well but expensive for what you get. Chicken wings should include tiny in descrition. Saving grace was the wine. One staff member needs deoderant badly. Server was delightful, good smile. Would not rush back. Expectations are not met.
Location is great in rich neighborhood.staff accommodating. Beautiful place
Beautiful hotel in posh Mayfair area. They have an excellent albeit smallish gym with top of the line equipment. Staff is very attentive and the premises are spotlessly clean as chic.
Beautiful reception, very friendly staff, a great experience
Very bad service: bcz of the snow they had problems in heating system, we had to call 4 times at night freezing until they came and gave us a small heater for the room. They should have offered this the first time we called and not make us beg for it. Then the electricity was cut in the morning too - hotel not equipped for some bad weather
Convenient for what we wanted. Great reception staff. Large rooms. Comfy bed. Not quite sure about the atmosphere of the bar though
A great 5* London venue. Friendly, helpful staff, great food and drink. It's not cheap, but as a prestigious London hotel, it's great.
Enjoyed our stay on our departure Jamal was particularly helpful in locating & loading our car thank you .
Nice place, comfortable and 2 steps from the center
Everything in the hotel is good except the food! It's horrible!!! And they don't have laundry service in the weekends!
The May Fair is part of Carlson, the hotel company that runs Radisson hotels, and you can tell. My room, pictured here, was bland and generic, and could have been in any airport hotel anywhere in the world. On top of the bland, even stark, design, the room was rather tired and in need of a refresh. Cobwebs on the ceiling also suggested housekeeping isn't quite up to scratch. On a positive note, the service is top notch and the bar was excellent, if a tad loud. However, having stayed at The Haymarket, Montcalm, Charlotte Street and Ham Yard hotels, amongst others, the May Fair is very sadly lacking in both style and luxury.
For a hotel with a name that carries a lot of weight, the overall level of service was exactly as you would expect. The evening on the terrace was exceptional with Georgia being a fantastic hostess. Myself and the other guests had a great time, ending in the bar till the small hours. The staff were helpful without being overbearing and nothing was too much trouble. The room was slightly smaller than expected based on the websites photographs however it was well presented and the bed was very comfortable.
I visited this hotel on work purposes and the staff were welcoming and really helpful throughout the whole time there.
Service is second to none and so are the facilities.
The only thing which is a concern (like in many areas of London) is car parking facilities. I would suggest to avoid bringing your own car to this area and get an Uber instead.
The smoke alarm went off in my room every day of my 4 day stay. Trying to sleep with jetlag and being woken all hours of the day/night in a panic by a fire alarm is infuriating. I will never stay here again.
They ate my money they stole my luggage and then kicked me out
Good food and equally good service. .thanks to the team at Mayfair that we tremendously enjoyed the evening.
Nice hotel in good location. The staff is helpful. The price level is possibly somewhat high given the standard and even though it is London we are talking about.
I was working there at a wedding and it is one of the most suitable places to hold the reception and post dinner. I say this on account of the good service and atmosphere of the place. It is a marbelly-extravagant bright-lit venue like Cafe Royale. Very clean place and the brass+black ram and bull dog stools are really cool. I also appreciated the ample and uncluttered use of space
Outstanding service, great location ! Large soaking bathtubs with tv.
excellent hotel with very good service and very well located
Great hotel and great area. Great service and the food is absolutely beautiful
Staff are very nice and try their best to accommodate.
High end hotel. Staff were excellent. Room was clean and fresh
I really hate to leave poor reviews of businesses. But, having stayed here many times in the past, I cannot recommend this hotel. On my last visit, I paid $630, and the room was actually a bed, with no more than 3 feet on either side - this was a king deluxe. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room.
After visiting a great London salon I decided to treat myself to a couple of nights stay with my wife.
The staff were very professional and polite and our room was pretty large and very luxurious.
To be honest this was probably a one off treat, although if you can afford it, it definitely is worth a stay!
2 night stay, king deluxe room 6th floor. 606
Great room size, superb location to shops/restaurants. Service has been great, been really looked after
Very nice hotel but can be overhyped in some ways. Rooms are nice, spacious, luxurious and modern. Restaurants may need reservations for dinners. The breakfast quality and selection are fantastic, but inconsistent service quality (despite large number of staff) can lead to disappointment. Still highly recommended to stay in the hotel at least once if you are a London traveler.
