If you can manage to go on the weekday then it's much more enjoyable for the family (I have a 3 month old and a 18 month old)! I have been on a Wednesday and a Sunday and would probably avoid the weekends until the little ones are a little older and more patient! But I loved that they could feed the giraffes! Just make sure you bring cash for it! ($5 for 3 leaves)

My kids had a great time here. Their favorite part was feeding the giraffes but you have to pay for that and I didnt like that they charged you $5 and then only gave us a tiny little twig with 3 leaves on it.

Went there for the first time last mother's day. My kid LOVED it! They have a show with trained birds that's definitely worth it. Bought the annual pass as i see myself going multiple times.

My first time at this zoo, the kids enjoyed it so much. Its a pretty good size and really great animals for the kids to see. I do suggest to buy the tickets online to skip the long line. We did get pizza for the kids and for me they were not cooked all they way(maybe because they were busy). We had hamburger and those were pretty good.

Had not been to the zoo in over 10 years. Many good changes have taken place, but still a bit troubling g. The guerillas showed signs of boredom and depression, including chewing the fur off its arms, running at the glass in anger and sitting in a shut down position with its hand on its head as if it had a headache.

It's really great, if u want to get a tan, jk; the 1st time me and my sister went, it was so hot that when we got to our car, it was 94 degrees; i like looking and petting the animals there like the squirrels, llamas, i think or sheep or goats, seals or sea otters, and birds; wish i could've had more time to look around and see what else there was

I think the LA zoo is one of the nicest I have been to today. Very clean area, presence of personnel who willingly stop to give some explanation or some curiosity. Presence of every type of animals always well cared for and assisted. There are some areas dedicated to lunch and a train for a complete tour.

What the covid 19 pandemic. It was very lonely and not everything was open. We didn't get to see all the animal cuz it was closed. At the end of the day the only thing that matter. My girls enjoyed being there.

The zoo was great. It's big enough and exciting enough to entertain people of all ages while not being so big that it's overwhelming. It clean and neat and the animals seem to be well taken care of. There are shows happening all the time you can catch something exciting happening all the time. Highly recommend this as a stop in LA.

L.A. Zoo Lights attracts native Angelenos and visitors to experience an illuminated evening of more than a million and a half lights. It s a wonderful holiday event for an evening with the family and kids under two are free. Having made its debut in 2014, the attraction has grown into a seasonal favorite.Glowing animals welcome you on your nighttime journey that includes a twinkling tunnel filled with dynamic swirls of color or you can visit the three reindeer or ride the carousel ($3) while drinking hot cocoa or enjoying meals and snacks from a variety of food carts.

The Zoo in itself is a fun place to be. However I ended up going go see their Christmas lights. It was a very poor experience. Not much to see or to look at when it came to the lights. Better to go in the day time.

We come up to the Bay Area to escape the chaos of Los Angeles and this time around we decided to come to Los Angeles Zoo. It is very easy to find and parking is a conveniently in the back of the farm. This is such a cute farm with many kid-friendly activities! My daughter really enjoyed every moment of it from the pony ride to feeding the goats.

Sadly it's extremely boring. Very ordinary. They need to make it more family oriented, more children friendly, and for the parents taking their family there. I have a long of ideas not sure if they're open to suggestions.

Been a while since I have been here. Went to my on a field trip with my 5 year old son's class. It made up for the school bus ride 70 miles to the Zoo. The only animals we did not see were the Zebras and . Very clean, even the restrooms.

This place is massive! Unfortunately the signage throughout the zoo is vague or absent, and the maps aren't stellar. When a cartographer has issues with your map...

Overall we enjoyed the variety of exhibits and definitely got our steps in.

If you are a member of another zoo, you may be able to get discounted admission.

I will always have an affinity for zoo's so don't expect the harsh critic in me to come out when reviewing the Los Angeles Zoo. I must say though, I had a great time when I went. Recently revamped from what I but am unable to compare as I never visited the old zoo. I have been to many zoo throughout the world and I must say it holds its own. Los Angeles is a major world city. How can it not have a great zoo. It still doesn't compare to San Diego zoo as that one is inherently the best zoo in the world but hey had a lot to offer. The enclosures were large and spacious for the bigger animals and the floor plan was laid out well. Enough to keep you guessing after a full day there but you can leave with confidence that you covered most the grounds and attractions. I hate paying $5 for a bottle of Dasani though.

My family and I felt safe, plenty of hand sanitizer available. They had to adjust certain exhibits, as expected. Quite and enjoyable experience, not too crowded. Gift shop, ladies could've been friendlier. Also don't forget to reserve your spot online ahead of your visit!

Amazing. First time I been to a proper zoo. I was blown away. We got there later in the day on a Friday which was a good thing. We missed all the school trips/kids and it wasn't very busy. The only thing is you miss all the shows, but I was fine with that.

I love zoos, but not the LA Zoo. I left there feeling sad for the animals. Repetetive behavior in several of the animals indicates that these animals need more space and stimulation. The zookeeper said this behavior happened with their elephant because he was "excited" to see his keeper. The zookeeper is either misinformed or living in a fantasy world.

The LA Zoo really needs to release many of it's animals to sanctuaries or zoos that can provide more space and stimulation. I felt horrible for how many of these animals were being treated.
