Lots of closed exhibits and those areas open have animals that are sleeping. Only 1 place to get food. That being said, its still nice to get out walking and seeing a few animals. They are limiting visitors and every few feet there are sanitizing kiosks. Worth the $22

The actual experience of the Los Angeles Zoo itself was enjoyable. Being able to see the different animals in the facilities with a clean environment was a relief.

Unfortunately the main reason for going to the zoo was supposed to be an experience with Peppa pig. It was basically just standing in line for a less then a minute photo opportunity with people who take your phone. 2 out of the five phones had usable photos.

If it was a review for just the zoo I would have given it four stars. If it was for the advertised Peppa pig experience I would only give it one star because you can't go into the negatives star for a review. So three stars is my compromise.

Love going to the zoo! We went on a Monday and I've got to say, it was far less crowded than and other day that I've visited in the past. The weather was perfect. The only thing is there were not too many of the core animals out when we arrived at 10am when it opened. I'd say for future visits go around 11am-12pm as many of the enclosures were being cleaned first thing in the morning so the animals were tucked away.

This is a great zoo but not ideal to visit. Way more time is spent walking or waiting to approach the enclosures. In those times of social distancing I think that it would be nice to have ground markings and an employee or docent to help form lines instead of having some moms go nuts and push everyone to get a picture. It'd be great to have colors for the different areas because it's easy to get lost or in dead ends. Amazing having a docent in the primate zone to introduce the family!

All the animals look very sad, in fact it seems that some are sick, some are in very small spaces and the water of all, including the fish tanks, is exaggeratedly dirty, I think they are very neglected, I even managed to see a plastic bottle Lying within the area of the large flamingos, I had the best expectations before entering the zoo but I was really disappointed. I think there should be more vigilance and care of the animals.

I love seeing other animals like lions, otters, fishes, stingrays, jaguars, birds like macaws, flamingos, ducks, swans, and peacocks along with giraffes, elephants, and gorillas. I also enjoy all the food and treats you can buy at this zoo.
