Always a good time at the LA zoo. I do recommend getring there early- the animals are so much more active. The letting zoo is fun. The year membership is worth it. Just wish there were more shady places to sit.

This Zoo is perfect for outings with a toddler. If you're not rushed you can leisurely walk through the zoo, letting your little one stop and sit on the low benches or climb on the rocks. We spend two hours here and try and arrive by 11 am to catch the zoo keepers feeding animals. All the feeding seems to be complete by 12:30. We love the monkeys, giraffes and the rain forest habitat with the aquarium and sea otters. Bring snacks since its mostly fast food in the park.

Having visited many zoos, I found LA zoo to be average. The animal enclosures are pretty small especially the sea lions and the viewing glass in the great apes was so scratched and dirty you could hardly see through it. I didn't enjoy walking through all the shops, restaurants and stalls before reaching the animals.

Covid update: everything is closed. Ridiculous barriers not allowing you or children to even view animals. Such a disappointment considering other similar outdoor museums are operating regularly.

So much fun and so many great exhibits. An excellent day trip with children. Foods a bit pricey, but it's well worth it just to see a smile on your little one's face. It made me feel like a kid again.

Very good zoo, the entrance has a value of 21 USD. It has shows of different animals so it is good to see the programming to enjoy them. It has a variety of restaurants inside.

It wasn't what we expected. There are big gaps between the spaces so you do ALOT of walking. Several sections & food courts were closed and they do have alot of bees flying around in certain areas.

Sooo much funnn!! Didn't realise how big this place was!! Had a great time, a bit hot but they have a lot of food carts where you can get ice creams and frozen drinks. They have a spot where water sprays out at the top, so cool!! Had an amazing time. All the animals were out, I managed to get some amazing photos

Great variety of animals. Very cool to be so close to the giraffes. (: The park did a good job with more "Arial views" of animals so your view isn't obstructed by a net/cage. However, Enclosures seem very small for many exhibits. Also could have better markers (ie numbers) to find your location on park map.

I have been a member of the LA Zoo for a few years now. Love bringing in lunch and eating over by the monkey exhibit, sometimes they put on a pretty good show! :)
Just visited the "new" sea otter exhibit for the first time the other day and I could have stayed their watching them ALL DAY LONG!!! Sooooo insanely cute!
The zoo has a wide variety of animals, is clean and the grounds are really nice. It's definitely not the San Diego Zoo, but I would recommend going if you're in the area!

Loved the Easter zoo atmosphere. It was my toddlers first time and he love every minute of it. Have to say that most of the animals looked sad . People out there the zoo needs more funds to keep up with the animals and the area. Please help if you can. Thank you

Name itself enough that Los Angeles Zoo is situated in Los Angeles, California. Area of the land is 133 acres and opened for public in 1966. This place is Clean and Safe to go and spend with kids, friends and families. Nice environment, Reasonable ticket prices for all ages. There are a variety of animals, birds and mammals. Don't forget to feed to Giraffe and visit gift shop at least. All the staffs working hard to keep animal safe as well as the entire zoo. Thanks to all.

I like this zoo better as much as the san diego zoo and its half the price of SD. Lots to see for the kids. $5 to ceed the giraffe and $3 and lots of walking which i count as my daily cardio. So win win for the kids and myself.

Our experience was amazing! Although due to Covid some attractions/exhibits weren't open, there was still so much to see. The atmosphere with the other visitors were great! We will definitely be back.

I decided to do LA Zoo over San Diego Zoo because of price. The entry to the zoo was US$12.00 which is inexpensive once you are inside and see the amount of enclosures they have. I spent most of the day wondering around all the enclosures and towards closing, I still had not seen all the animals. The souvenirs are reasonably priced and the overall atmosphere is great. The layout was quiet easy to follow and the availability of the service train was great when you needed to get to the other side of the zoo quickly.

Sadly had to walk from one end back to the entrance for the first aid station. No one seemed interested in helping my grandson. Cut his little hand not bad just needed a band aid. Sour taste usually means no return. You're bad not mine.

With every zoo visit comes people craziness. We could not escape at least one group of visitors that were a bit oblivious to the fact that there might be others trying to enjoy the animals but it happens...
