A normal garden .. There is nothing special in it .. We did not see any kind of feline species such as tigers and lions.
In general .. the loss of the amount was without interest, but it is an experiment in Los Angeles.
As for reservation ... the best is through their website so that you do not bother coming and then you will not find tickets.

The 3-year-old and 49-year-old found something to be excited about. It's a bit of walking, but it's a lot more enjoyable than shopping or arcades in my opinion. At these types of places, your visit is really what you make it. They provide interesting information to supplement your enthusiasm, and you take it from there.
My son loves the L.A Zoo his favorite is the reptiles
My kids like going to the museum and look at the animals, get on the Lil train and to walk around. My kids have a good time all the time we go.
We went there early and missed the crowd. Gets really busy around 2. It was 3 full hours of pure fun.
Sooooo much fun exploring the old zoo and an easy hike for all ages. My mom just kept remarking how the Los Angeles Zoo was pre-titanic & Downton Abbey Highly recommend checking this out!
I expected much more. Few animals, most of which can not be seen. Lost time.

Great place to go there with kids. A very large number of animals are represented, there are many places for recreation and small cafes, there are toilets, everything is clean and very civil. It is worth going there for the whole day. I advise all tourists to visit
It's a great place to spend time with the family and the food their is a little expensive but overall a good time
Nice to go for a walk, but many exhibits closed. Others had animals hidden or asleep somewhere. Couldn't see many animals as we wanted. Love l.a. zoo but today I was disappointed.
Great way to spend the day with family. Plenty of parking, and things to see. The staff here is awesome( helped me accommodate my disabled family member and staff helped me carry oxygen tanks) will be back soon!
Fun experience at the zoo, but I did have an incident with one of the concessions booth. I was shortchanged and had to wait for the managers to figure out what happened. That was 20 min or so I'm never getting back. Other than that, kids had fun at the zoo and that's all that counts.
I'm not a big supporter of Zoo's but I liked this one. Not crowded, fast line to cashiers, easy to find a parking.
the zoo is amazing ! loved the food , its very clean as well , my boyfriend and i had a very good time but we didn't hang to see all the animals since it was a very hot day . what i didn't like was the wait for the entrance near the freeway to many people cutting others off . they really need someone out there guiding the entrance for parking .
My niece had so much fun my sister ended up buying the family membership
It was an ok experience, they have lots animals, but most of them were not too active during the visit, maybe need to be here at different time.

Has a big parking lot area, the entrance to the Zoo is very nice there's several and great attendees and since you getting to you'll see the first attractions that I love this place.
Super fun hiking around. That is until smoke started bellowing from further up ahead. Someone was hiking back from that area and let us know there was a fire there. We packed it in just as the firetrucks were showing up. Now I've got to go back and hike around again so I can see what I missed!
Very disappointing with customer service. They don't care at all. Won't return email or phone calls. Don't waste your time. I feel very sorry for the animals.
Allows you to bring food and drinks in. Spacious. Plenty of food options.
It's a zoo, not much else to say... Take comfy shoes because there's lots of walking . Long story short is that the place is nice, it has lots of interesting animals.. and a nice alternative to just staying at home.
You can take food, so make sure you take some water for sure... But if not the food inside is good. My son loves coming here and feeding the giraffes. Can't see how you can have a bad time here... Now if you don't like caged animals than don't come but In the end you make this park to what you want it to be.. if you are there to have fun and learn you will... If your set out to have a bad day... You probably will too.
Quick tips
Animals start going in around 4, so plan your day... This is definitely not the park you want to show up late.
Make a list of what animals you want to see first , because you might have to come back later on when they are more active instead of hiding.
It's chill it's the same atmosphere as Dodger stadium. Foods has county jail quality with Beverly hills prices.
My family loves the L.A. Zoo. We have annual zoo passes to the Santa Ana Zoo and we get 50% off L.A. Zoo. This zoo is beautiful, not too big, the animals seem to be well taken care of and we can take our own food in. We often take a drive through Griffin Park after we're done with the zoo.
Didnt see any animals they were hiding. Walked around the whole park to only see a few animals. Ill try San Diego next.
Me, my mom, and our 3 girls went and had a great time. I do get I went to a zoo and I try to stay positive I was just a little upset on how small the enclosures are compared to the wild. The animals on discovery look more healthy and happy. I dont think I'll go back.
Great place to just hangout. It feals like a great hike. The Bird Show is a must see.
A perfect place to enjoy with the family. For 4 years we have had the annual pass to take our children as many times as they want.

It was Ok. Pretty old and dated and not many animals out or around. Forget the Tram. Not worth the $. It s a pass for us.
It was a beautiful day to be walking around and seeing amazing creatures. Everything was great until we were leaving. At the exit there was a guy in a cookie monster outfit that told me and my daughter to move aside if we were not gonna pay him to take a picture ... MY ONE YEAR OLD WAS JUST CURIOUS AND LOOKING AT HIM. I dont think people with that type of attitude should be allowed to "work" anywhere near children
The zoo was a fun place for my little girl alot to see.the only thing was there were to to many bees and wasnt able to enjoy it that much i felt like we were being chased by them luckily i had some repellent spray and sprayed it on her and it helped.every thing was so expensive as well, so if u can bring your snacks drinks or sandwiches to eat like we did and bring repellant spray and tons of sunscreen for the little ones.parking was another issue u have to drive in many circles to get a parking space.

Great lights. Not much to see, but had a great time just getting out with the family.
Now it is called Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical gardens. It is a great place to visit during any season of the year. While you are there, make sure to check out the South American rain forest. For a few more dollars you can become a yearly member, part of the money supports foundations that are helping tdifferent animal causes around the world.
The zoo is great but the food they sell there uag order a hamburger and the cold bread and the horrible pizza I recommend you bring your own lunch
Los Angeles zoo is a great place to bring the family. Clean and safe. Make sure to arrive early to get parking or just take Uber. If you are going to visit more than two times in a year, I recommend the membership. To see everything, you may want to take two days so you do not have to rush. For a healthy picknick, you may want to pop into whole foods or sprouts in Burbank first to load your picknick basket
The Zoo is awesome! A Great place for the entire family. Free or paid parking (the difference is the walking distance to front gate). Handicap parking and wheelchair Access to all parts of the Zoo. If you have the pass you bypass the line which could be long. There is rental strollers available or you can bring your own you can bring small wagons too which is awesome to pull the kids and/or your snacks. There is a large picnic/playground where you can enjoy a snack and watch the kids play. The petting zoo area is great fun for all. If you rather not pack your lunch they have snack venders throughout and a restaurant (burgers & fries ect). The Zoo offers so much extra (I recommend the website) even bundles with the aquarium of the Pacific and others. Bring your walking shoes it's a big place.
Did the LA Zoo lights. Was a different look on Christmas light display after dark evening while the animals are sleeping.

We love the L.A Zoo. Beautifully landscaped, lots of animals. You can't beat a stroll around the park. Feed the giraffes, take a ride on the carousel, then let your kids play at the playground! Plus membership is a steal. What's not to like.
Great zoo! The park is very clean, has a lot of exhibits and offers different activities with animals. Free parking.

When I visit there couldn t see all the animals very few of them got to see. I think before you buy the tickets ask them first what you can see or not.that way you can save your time and money.
