Getting approved still takes forever and is difficult but nice to have a lawyers name to throw around on your paperwork to help them move it along. Did help us get a better doctor review then previously and the rates are really reasonable.

She's a long, tall fiery redhead that clearly knows what she's doing...but there is a softness and warmth in her eyes and voice that totally put me at ease...and that was her mission...to put me at ease the day before our appeal hearing. I was turned down for disability the first time which of course is devestating. I got a different attorney for my appeal and choose Catherine Coats bc of her soothing commercials about how I've worked all my life and it's my money....it took 2 years for the appeal hearing date to come up and I was a total nervous wreck the day before bc I am fighting for my life and well being. She called, apologized for not calling earlier in the day and for allowing me to be nervous but WE WILL WIN YOUR CASE TOMORROW!!!! She said, "I want you to sleep well and just know that I got this and I won't leave without the win and Medicare as well." What attorney does that?? I DID sleep well and we did win with backpay going back 3 1/2yrs the next day. And the judge admitting error the first time around and felt bad!! So...I am a very happy client and she was amazing in the hearing room...pointing out pragragh this and page that....the judge couldn't keep up and the state's reps never said anything but agreed with Catherine's findings. I will tell everyone I know what a wonderful attorney she is and I- for one...truly appreciate her. She promised me total follow thru till I get my money and I have no doubt she will. God put her in my life and lifted this heavy 4 year burden off of me.
This is the most honest straight to the point lawfirm ihave ever talked to. Mr. Christopher Coats takes his time and explains every detail to me until I undersatand it. His legal team (Ann, Katie, and Kitri) are kind and always availible to hear my every concern. In a day and age when everyone is only concern with themselves this is a refreshing change. I will and have recommended this lawfirm to anyone who would benefit from their counsel.
I would love to thank Coats& Todd firm. From the time that I called them, until the end they was always very professional.on point would explain things to me that I didn't understand.Thank you Mr.Blair for helping me win my case.I really can exhale now. Also, thanks to the other team that work on my case.Even the receptionist is kind.May God continue to bless each& everyone of you all.I will definitely recommend the firm to anyone that needs an attorney.
My experience with Coats & Todd has been a true blessing from above. There professionalism and integrity is second to none ! They made my bankruptcy simple, honnest and stress free. I don't know what i would have done without them. There # 1 in my book !!! MAY GOD BLESS THEM ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did a great job of preparing before the hearing making sure everything relevant was gone over. Went smooth without a hitch. Recieved a followup call afterwards from one of your associates going over the next steps. Very thorough team. Good job thank you.
I want to Thank you for all you've done for me, although I did not do my part at times, you never gave up on me. If anyone is in need of Legal help please, I highly recommend Coats and Todd. Thanks for everything. Mary Mcginty
Being my first, and last, time to file bankruptcy, Coats & Todd guided me through each step without making me feel humiliated. They kept the process under control, and I got out and back on track in less than 6 months.
Coats and Todd is awesome! I had a wonderful successful experience with them. The team led by Diane successfully executed my SSDI claim. Beth, Diana and Bree also were wonderful to work with. I found that they were extremely caring and were very motivated to win my case. If you want a law firm that will answer your questions and will treat you like family, than choose Coats and Todd. I was very confident in their ability to represent me. So choose Coats and Todd. You will be proud you did.
I would like to share my thoughts/experience with this amazing law firm....thus far. There are no words I can express to share my gratitude and thankfulness for what y all have and continue to do for me. I went from an incredibly vibrant life to that of a recluse due to a traumatic brain injury. But for the kindness and unrelenting support I have received from everyone at Coates and Todd I don t know where I d be. Looking at my life prior to this injury and now it s a 180. When I feel at my lowest and send in additional reports to the team, I receive a call of thanks for sending the updates and amazing encouragement. I know they are taking my case seriously and I am confident they will prevail. I spent my career in law and did my due diligence before hiring a firm. I even contacted former colleagues to vet my decision. They all concurred that I was hiring the best in going with them and I couldn't agree more. God bless this team for their kindness and tenacity in making sure I am properly represented and protected. I look forward to a positive outcome and could not recommend them more highly if I tried. If you are looking for the best in the business....you ve found them. I spent over 30 years in law in NY, TX, AL, CA and GA and this firm is tops.
Through the years I have heard about Coats & Todd well I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. She is professional, knowledgeable and gracious. K. Coats has over 21 years experience and she will use everything she can to help you get what you deserve.
I highly recommend Coats & Todd for SSD claims.I had difficulty with the SSD process, & I m a paralegal. Coats & Todd took my case, walked me through the process & won my denial. My attorney Mr. Blair did a great job arguing my case. Ms. Coats was compassionate & patient. All the office went above & beyond, always knowledgeable, caring and helpful.
Coats & Todd helped me when others could not. Their entire staff is professional and understanding. They were there for me every step of the way, from my initial contact and until the day of my hearing. Ms. Coats personally helped me to clearly understand the format of the hearing and what I was to expect. She is still keeping me up to date as to when i will receive my first check. I cannot thank the entire organization enough for their hard work. David Uretsky, Frisco Texas
Couldn't have chosen a better group of people to handle my case! Truly caring, communicative and accommodating! Would recommend to anyone looking for top representation!
In my worst time in life I needed help with my disability so I reached out to Coats& Todd. They took care of dealing with SS for me. I can't see anyone trying to handle this on their own .please if you're going through a disability claim or will be please let Coats & Todd handle your case.very professional law office. Thanks for everything!
My husband battled Social Security for 6 years. Robert Todd took his case after our first lawyer failed to do anything to win his first hearing. After getting a second hearing, Mr. Todd worked tirelessly and got disability benefits approved. He is amazing and we are eternally grateful!!
I filed for disability and was turned down. I was so weary of digging up old files and researching old recollections of misery and pain, I decided to just let a competent attorney have a try at it. I saw an ad for Coats and Todd and called them up. I never had to leave my home except to go to my Doctor appointments and then I heard from SSA, who requested I go to their Doctor. It wasn't long after that when I received my award letter from SSA. The whole process only took a few months and my stress level was much better just knowing that I was being represented. I will feel better when I receive my back payments because that is how I can catch up on my property taxes, doctor bills, etc. because contrary to popular belief, when you get very sick or are suffering from something that was no fault of yours, well, you get my drift. Thank you Coats and Todd, I'm glad I chose you!
These two are rude, condescending, and do not live up to their advertising! When I spoke to Catherine Coats on the phone she was unfriending, talked down to me, and gave me misleading, untrue information. I went to another attorney and was very pleased with them. I would not recommend Coats and Todd.
I was searching for an attorney that could assist me in battle with SSA disability for 2 years. I had my case at the administrative judge hearing level and needed help fast. I gave Coats and Todd a call and they were on my case asap. The Coats & Todd staff was professional and felt the need to help me in my case and they will do their best to assist me in my case. I would always get a call back on any questions I had in a timely manner All staff was very pleasant and took very good care of me. I felt relieved I finally have a law firm that care about the client and what I was going through. Through it all they stuck by me and I had an exciting win in my SSA disability claim that we fought for and I didn't have to do it alone. I'm so grateful for them if I didn't have the attorney Jason and paralegal Katie on my side I wouldn't have made a successful win without them. I am so blessed to have them on my team. Thanks so much. You all are awesome..
Coats&Todd done my husband;s appeal and got him approved for his SSDI. They were professional and competent. Thanks Mr. Todd for all your hard work and for getting D approved for his ssdi! We will definitely refer family and friends because our experience was awesome! Thanks J&D
It has been an extremely difficult time for us as a family to watch a loved one become disabled, and then watch as our entire lives fell apart, from the safety and security we were accustomed to, to none...not to mention the loss of our home. The idea that on top of everything we had to deal with the whole process of applying and waiting for disability was daunting. It didn't stop us from applying, but before too long we were denied. A friend of a friend recommended Coats and Todd to us, and frankly we were desperate. So we handed our case over to the lawyers here. It was such a relief to have someone else handling that side of things while we handled the home front. Everyone here was extremely friendly and explained the entire process to us, walking us through every single step. When the day finally came when we had to appear before the judge, we finally met Catherine Coats, our Lawyer. She was put together and confident and when we walked out of the office that day, we left approved. "I like to win." she said with a smile. She even recommended certain charities that would be able to help us with food, clothing and the cost of living. Thank you Coats and Todd for helping us get back on our feet again. You all are truly Tikkun Olam (healing to the world). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The Watson Family
They've gone above and beyond on my case. We're still handling the appeals process and they have given me excellent advice on strategies on whether or not to take the appeal to an impartial judge in my area. I think of them every time I see the deposit in my checking account.
Thank You Coats and Todd for helping me with my claim. I cannot express to you all, how greatfull I am with words. I thank you for giving me a new look on life and that there are good people who will help you in your time of need. Thanks for all you do...God Bless You All !!
My experience with this firm has been fantastic! All the staff has been very patient, encouraging, informative, supportive, and kind! They always returned calls or e-mails in a very timely manner! I always felt like I was important to them! I will definitely recommend this firm!
I tried to give all the information i could to Chandler, but she had an attitude, very condescending, and total lack of customer service. Kept reiterating that i needed to re-read my emails and that if i cant understand the basics of what she was asking, that it will not work out for me. It is funny, that she would say that, especially after she never read mine correctly! She is very combative and i would NEVER deal with your company because of her! Please rip up the contract and all the info i sent to her on all the info i recieved from Social Security. I always try to make everyones job easier, but her comments and degrading emails, made me really not want to deal with your conpany. She is the worst at customer service that i have ever seen!!! I have been in sales, a dj and customer sevice for over 30 years and i feel bad for your company, because with her, your loss of business will be great!!Best of luck to you. I know it is not your fault and your testimonials are great!
I called him to ask for help with my injuries and getting disability and she asked me seven or eight questions and said we can't help you go file your self. I didn't feel like they had enough information to make a real determination with only seven or eight questions before I was immediately disqualified by their firm! I have read several reviews and there were some good ones so I was excited but after I was disregarded so quickly I read the bad reviews and saw a trend The trend is them responding with some bull crap legalese and try to be all politically correct with their passive aggressive answer that's not with people that have physical or mental disabilities need we need someone to be compassionate not passive aggressive
I will be seeking the assistance of another attorney as I suggest you to do the same !
I was referred by a friend. I e-mailed this firm twice, filling out their consultation form online. They have yet to respond in a week's time. I'm not wasting my time any longer. If this is how they operate, what else will they neglect? Bye Felicia!
Do not call this firm unless you have less than $3000 in assets. However, I was referred to other firms?????. In other words, they did not take the time to explain or find out what type of help I needed. You are not allowed to talk to an attorney only an INTAKE PERSON - WHAT IS THAT? - that immediately judges your claim. Very poor service- However if you call your local Social Security office they will inform and help you with any questions you may have concerning your claim - They will inform you that the SSDI program has NO asset limits. Also, they will inform you have the right to appeal and your government Field Office will send you a "Request for Reconsideration" and a "Disability Report - Appeal " along with other necessary forms that will be presented before an Administrative Judge ( if you are turned down again ). They will even inform you of groups that can help you find a lawyer or give you free legal services. They will also tell you that if you have a lawyer they can only charge you 25% or less - but no more than $6000.--- Along with explaining that you have the right to file a new application at any time, but filing a new application is not the same as appealing this decision. So they encouraged me to continue with my current claim.I was surprised that the Field Office took the time to explain the process. Bottom Line - Take your time and find a law firm that will work with you or at least have an attorney answer a question. This firm - very poor service especially when you are going through a difficult time and are looking for help.
Coats and Todd were awesome to work with. They handled my case so professionally and fast. It couldn't have gone more smooth and worry free. Thank you Melissa and Mr. Coats for your hard work
I have been fighting with disability ssi for almost 10 years.Coats and Todd never lost hope when I did. They kept saying hang in there and I DID. Finally everything went through for me , it was a hard battle but they stuck we me all the way.
I can't begin to thank Catherine Coats and her outstanding staff. This journey began over two years ago. I've worked everyday since I was 16 years old. Three years ago I had a life altering accident. Not only did I break my back and crush my shoulder, I've experienced extreme stress ,anxiety and depression by not being able to work and support my family. These days it is extremely difficult to get an approval from the social security administration unless its an absolute necessity. I am proud to say Coats and Todd and the entire staff are most definitely top notched. They are understanding compassionate and most of all care about their clients. I was ready to give up several times but Mary B and Kitri along with the uplifting support of Catherine made me continue the fight. I'm so glad I did as i was just approved today. God Bless you all for helping me during this trial in my life.
My husband needed a reliable attorney, with experience and willingness for consistent help. We definitely found it in Katherine and her staff. The answers we needed, the experience shows! Thank You for your kindness and prompt responses. Sincerely, Mr and Mrs. Shaikh
I had the most pleasant experience with Coats and Todd. I was very nervous and had many unknown questions regarding my case. After speaking to Mr. Coats, I felt at ease. He always answered our questions with much understanding and never in a rush. Mr. Coats helped us in every step of the way through the whole process. Mr. Coats is great at what he does and very knowledgeable. Melissa was wonderful!!! She always answered my questions right away and was super helpful whenever I needed her. Melissa went above and beyond to help us. I couldn't do it without her. The whole process went very smoothly and I would highly recommended them!!!!!!
My experience with Coats & Todd was truly awesome. The professional manner in which my case was handled made me feel at ease about the whole SSI experience. I am truly blessed to have had Coats & Todd as my counsel on my case. Thank you all for your hard work on my behalf.
I have my court date tomorrow and unable to reach anyone ny phone due to their phone issues. I went to the website and was able to text someone from the office. The rep said the intake department should be contacting me shortly. So far I've heard nothing. I hope someone shows to represent me in court in the morning. I will update my review after tomorrow's court date. Received my benefits. My lawyer laid out worst scenario before going in front of the judge. However we got a great judge and she judged in my favor. Thank you Coats and Todd.
I highly recommend this firm! Catherine is amazing. The process of SSD is horrible, but she helped get me through it and was there every step of the way. Thanks to her and her team my future is secure. Thank you so much!
Don't waste your time trying to get your benefits on your own. Contact Coats & Todd for their help. They are genuine, dependable, honest, experienced, and trustworthy. I'm so glad I made that call.
Catherine is one of the best attorneys I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Alexandra and Tony were also extremely helpful, answering the questions I had (and even some I'd not even thought of). They take the time to explain the complicated procedures and benefits of Social Security Disability with understanding and professionalism.
I tried working with Social Security directly for over a year without results. When Coats & Todd took over my case, it was a huge burden off my shoulders, with an extremely favorable decision in the end. I highly recommend this firm and urge those with disabilities to hire them rather than attempt to deal with Social Security directly.
I am very disappointed in my experience with Coats & Todd. I read so many wonderful reviews too.
I find myself suddenly VERY ill. My story is much like many others. With the lose of my health came the lose of a job, health insurance, all of my 401K, a car, and now I face bankruptcy, and/or the lose of my home. I need help with finding healthcare assistance, understanding what disability or SSI benefits are even available to me, and so much more. I called Coats & Todd, they had an "intake specialist" take down my information. (including 15 years of work history that I gathered for them) After, an hour on the phone I felt they would be helping me understand what to do next. I was told someone would call me within 48 hours. My entire well-being at this time to wait for this phone call.
They did not return my call. I planned to call them first thing Monday. I get my mail, there is a letter stating they can not help me because I do not have ongoing medical care. I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET THE HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE. I told the "intake specialist" that I needed their help to understand what is available to me. I was assured they would be "here to help." I was also assured a phone call in 48 hours. Instead I get a very wordy letter stating they can't help me right now.
I can not even begin to explain how hopeless I felt when I read that letter. I immediately threw up. (Note: throwing up is very very bad for my condition) I need to see a specialist that without insurance I can not afford.(obama care in the state of TX does not help the unfortunate) I knew nothing about Medicare, or Medicaid. I have worked all my life, even when I was diagnosed with other conditions. I did call to ask why they didn't just tell me over the phone when I initially called that I needed to take other steps before I can apply for benefits. I explained I felt that if I had this information explained to me initially than, I would have had that time that I had spend waiting on a phone call to do those things. It is so very important that this move as quickly as possible. As an SSI attorney's office you'd think they would know this. So, now they have also wasted my time. Time is not something I have much of right now. It was explained to me more than once that the person I was talking to was an "intake specialist" and they didn't have that information. I could leave a message for a case worker if I wanted to. I said "please I really need to speak with a person". she was kind however, the answer was still you can leave a message. At this point, you don't want my business. You don't want to help me. I was then Done. I need to feel like my attorney's care. I felt like just a #. I felt like I wasn't important to them, or worth their time to help.
Naturally, I called a different attorney's office. Where I talked to a "legal assistant" this person gave me the information I needed to know about healthcare assistance, let me know that I have to apply for SSI before anything else can begin. They are going to overnight me a packet of information with step by step info. I got so much information from a 30 min call! I learned so much, I feel there was absolutely no reason the person who "takes information" at Coats & Todd couldn't have told me the same information. If that person has to be a "legal assistant" then hire legal assistance's that is your business for crying loud. I don't want to talk to a "message taker" when I call a lawfirm.
This is a money hungry office, I have been in the work field long enough to know this. Careful if you choose to call them. It is highly likely they will waste your time. When you're dying you take a waste of time pretty hard!
They did a excellent job on getting my disability. Mr. Todd is very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable in this area. He helped me to the car and assisted my friend getting me in the car after my hearing.
The associates and lawyers were flawless. I could not have been more surprised. It was very difficult to realize I could not work any longer, my representative and all the associates that handled my case were supportative and compassionate, I was shieled from all difficult issues. I was accompanied to hearing by my personal lawyer Bradley Rasley, and he actually held my hand when I became emotional.
I would recommend Coats and Todd to anyone who is facing any of these difficult situations
Called to get help for appeal. Representative got my hopes up and then wasted my time spoke to 2 different people the first person was patient second person named Brandon not so much had to answer some questions as a standard procedure to ensure they could take my case was on the phone for over a hour wich I did not mind but when I asked them to hold or call me back while I got more information for accuracy I realised once back on the phone Brandon hung up no call back, voicemail or email left. Now I was placed on hold several times on duration of call and did not mind waiting but the one time I asked Company to wait it was a problem. I could not believe it. On a good note I ended up finding a better company with patience to help with my appeal and all has been great!
Update 2019: Coats & Todd just responded to my review to cover there butts. Point proven. Suddenly "No Brandon", "No records" for my call. You all beware of this company. Read the other reviews before you waste time with a bunch of liars and impatient representatives like I did. Lesson learned! On a good note I did thorough research and checked all reviews the second time and found another company last year that was amazing!! All went well with my case. Great firm with patience that was with me every step of the way and never forgot or lost me in the system.
I can't describe how thankful I am for these wonderful people , they helped me through the worst times in my life , again I'm very very thankful , very professional every step of the way , miss Beth was truly amazing and I feel blessed for the help she gave me , that lady was there for me and I could never thank her enough for how she helped me , I'm forever grateful , thank you again sooooooo much . John Wells
From the beginning Mary B My initial case manager put me at ease. The SSDI process was confusing and appeared that being denied or going through an appeal was the normal routine. Mary patiently continued to receive Dr documents and forward them to the proper people for 3 months. She always returned my phone calls promptly. She took over all communications with ssa so I did not have to speak to a different person each time I called. When the questionnaires came in the mail she put me at ease when I made mistakes. My case was settled in 3 months and I believe due mostly by me being represented by Mary and the Coats and Todd firm. Thanks for all you do..
I have had a great experience with all the staff that has been involved with my case. They have answered all my questions and allowed my venting with patience and understanding. If I need legal advice in the future I will certainly call them first. Mary, Diane and now Tony have been an appreciated lifeline.
After another high profile attorney in Dallas had earned me a denial, and told me that I just didn't have chance with Social Security, a friend suggested that I speak with Coats and Todd. From the first meeting with Ms. Catherine Coats I again had hope. Ms. Catherine, Atty. Jason Blair and their excellent staff went to work. One day after being homeless for almost 3 years Ms. Catherine called and told me that we had won my case. I broke down and cried right then. Coats and Todd walked with me through the trying process of dealing with the U.S. Government and were there to answer all my questions and make sure I received my just due. My most humble Thank You and God bless you. Ms Catherine is a grand Christian woman and more people could learn from her example.
When I filed with Coats and Todd, I had just put in a claim for disability. I had had two knee replacements in two years and retired at 62, because I was not healing as fast as I expected. I found out my case was complicated by my obesity, Type II Diabetes and partial paralysis on my right side due to an old recreational vehicle injury. They collected my doctors' names and numbers and went to town gathering up my records, surgery records, MRIs, etc. After I was turned down the first time, they very aggressively pursued my appeal. SS sent me to another doctor and did much more imaging. Then . . . they sent me a check for my back pay and started paying my claim. I did not even have to appear in court. I feel my attorneys stayed right on top of it the whole time. I could not ask for better service.
Most incompetent office staff I've ever dealt with. Rude, short, refuses to answer questions and doesn't give a rats ass how their screw ups affect the lives of us peons. Good luck and good day.
I was approved for disability in 2014 from another lawfirm. My benefits were suspended cause I was over sga in 2015, In January 2018 my depression got bad again and I was way under the sga and couldn't work. I contacted Coats and Todd and they took my info and said I was eligible for assistance. Several days later I get a letter saying they couldn't help me. I was still in my epe period when my sga went down and I am entitled to having my benefits restarted without applying again. They treated me like I was someone first applying for disability, which is not correct. It should be a simple case as in getting the benefits that I am owed during my epe(eligibility period). I'm very upset that they turned me away. I'm also still eligible for ssi but yet I'm tossed away like a piece of trash... I suffer from major depression and have had it since I was a child, even with medication I still have bad days where I can't get out of bed.. I strongly recommend you to look for another firm.
With help from Coats & Todd, I had my SSDI closed with fully favorable decision in June 2018. The staff, especially Alex R, have been courteous, responsive, and efficient throughout my two-year SSDI process. My Attorney Jason Blair is articulate and detailed. He amazingly upheld my case in front of the appeal hearing court. I strongly recommend Coats and Todd for those who need reliable, efficient, and effective legal representation for their SSDI cases. Chances are that you will find you make a good choice.
Man hate reading these reviews.. But I am a CURRENT client & can NOT even talk to ATTORNEY....NOR have I ever talked to them... I need to touch base & get THERE PERSONAL OUTLOOK. my hearing close by & I will be more at ease to TALK TO LAWYER REPRESENTING ME. Been very ill for SEVERAL years nothing getting better but worse. By the grace of god they help me
Best disability law firm and attorneys you will find. Coats and Todd accepted my case and they ALWAYS fought for me and never quit and this month I got approved for SSI benefits. These are the best disability lawyers in fighting for you to get the benefits you need.
The law firm of Coats & Todd were the best anyone could ask for. Melissa the secretary was professional and beyond her secretarial duties to help us with all the paperwork and making sure everything was filled out properly and in a timely manner we ran across several problems but she helped us and made sure it was all correct and Melissa was always available when I called or she called back as soon as possible. Mr Edwin Arita gave us the options of what to do and the best options to use in our case. Coats & Todd helped me and my husband apply and file for bankruptcy. From the beginning they were helpful and made the process comfortable and easy whenever a problem or obstacle came up. We mainly handled everything over the phone, fax, email or mail which made it nice to not to have to make the one hour trip. Filing bankruptcy and working with Coats & Todd at this time in our life was the best thing we could have done and are glad we chose Coats & Todd to help us through this process. We highly recommend Coats & Todd for bankruptcy they make the process go smoothly and not painful and are there with you every step of the way. Again Melissa Brown was professional very supportive and helped the process go smoothly fast and was always there to help us through each step of the bankruptcy. Coats and Todd were the best anyone could ask for they make the process as stress free and worry free as they can and you can depend on them to be honest and upfront with you. Again thank you to all the associates especially Melissa Brown and Edwin A Arita. We liked Coats & Todd so much we are now using them to process and look into military disability for my husband.
The lady I spoke with on the phone was not nice. She just kept saying the same thing over and over. But I do have a friend that hired this firm and says a lot of nice things about them.
I have hard many good things about this firm. I see that there are a lot of good reviews. I would have liked to have to have used them on my Disability Claim, but for some reason they seemed uninterested in it. I left numerous messages, received a phone call from them, explained the whole situation, but they never would correspond after that. Guess they didnt need the business.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the entire staff at Coats and Todd for helping Daniel victoriously win his Social Security case. Words can't express how happy we were to hear the news! After years of financial hardship, this will give our family financial freedom to get caught up on expenses and live comfortably for years to come.
Dan was treated with such kindness from the first day he called your office. We are so grateful for your professionalism, compassion, and competitive approach to get a successful outcome for your clients. May God continue to bless this firm for its purpose, humanity and most of all concern for the well-being of others. We will always be eternally grateful, blessed and humbled by this experience.
We did our research and employed Coats & Todd to represent us for my husband, Patrick's' disability case. We were initially turned down twice and had to go before a judge to hear our case. Our attorney, Jason, discovered my husband had been "miscoded" by SSD and he immediately pointed this out to the courts. We won our case thanks to this firm. I want to say that not only did we like Jason, but we especially were impressed with the professional that contacted us to not only tell us our case was approved (we had not received an approval letter so it was nice to hear this from our attorney's office) but she told us exactly the amount of the back pay and the monthly check. She stayed on the phone with us to give us all of the details and answered our questions. She continued to follow up with us to ensure we did receive our check and auto deposit. This was AFTER Coats & Todd was already paid. It is important to note this as they still continued to do their job and make sure everything was done even though they were already paid. We are grateful to this firm and to fine professionals like Tynesha that continued to call us to make sure all was well. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone.
All who is saying COATS AND TODD ARE GOOD LAWYERS FOR SOCIAL SECURITY ARE ALL WORKERS FOR COATS AND TODD..its no way Coats and Todd are good in helping getting your disabilty..and all who is saying this law firm is a good staff ALL ARE LYING FOR COATS AND TODD..COATS AND TODD NO THEY NOT GOOD IN DOING THEIR JOBS IN GETTING CLIENTS GET THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY..SO COATS AND TODD NEED TO STOP THEIR LYING AND STOP SAYING THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS ON TV CAUSE THATS NOT TRUE..COATS AND TODD DO NOT HELP NO CLIENT GET YOU NOTHING WHEN COATS AND TODD WORK FOR SOCIAL SECURITY BY STOPPING CERTAIN PEOPLE FROM GETTING THEIR ON SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY..DO NOT EVER USE COATS AND TODD. CAUSE U WILL WANT GET HELPED...NO NOT AT ALL..
My experience with Coats & Todd was awesome. What I cherished most was the honesty and efficiency. I was always kept updated and when information was needed from my end, I was contacted either through a phone call, an email or a letter, depending on the importance. I am elated with the end result and I recommend Coat's & Todd to anyone who has the sense to trust them!

I was dreading the necessity of hiring a lawyer for disability. Choosing Coats & Todd was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Their team was professional, courteous and always helpful. Catherine Coats represented my case in court on a Friday and I received an approval on the following Wednesday. She was absolutely amazing and truly cares about her clients, placing their welfare above all else!
I call them to help my Wife to get her Benefits started they didn't help her social worker help they started her benefits before she passed to sing with the Angels
What a difference a day makes! First I must give praise to God, and now to Coats and Todd Law. Words can't express how grateful I am to each and everyone on the team. Before I found Coats and Todd I went through two other law firms that didn't come through for me. They just did not seem like that they were really on my side. Over five long years of of financially, and physical hurting and being very depressed, one morning I was drinking a cup of coffee and the TV was actually watching me. A commercial of Coats and Todd Law came on and immediately begin to get my attention. It was so warm, comforting and trusting and speaking on how they could help. I them immediately called them and discussed my situation of what I was dealing with. The next day the law firm told me that they could take my case. I dropped my lawyer and hired Coats and Todd to handle my case. They done such a great job! I dealt with the feeling of hopelessness, and wanted to give up before I found Coats and Todd. But what I could not get done within those five years, Coats And Todd got me approved within a little over four months. I just want to tell each of you, Thank You so much!!!! , God Bless You All!!!
How Thankful I am for having Catherine Coats handle my disability case? Well I don t have all day to explain the whole story, but here s the highlight of my case. I had an on the job injury, that lead to a major nightmare with workman s comp, that lasted for just over 2 years. After getting denied WC several times, for required surgery, and dealing with unfair representation. I ended up with severe depression, stress, and mental anguish that landed me in psychiatric care. My life had spun completely out of control. I felt hopeless and alone. Then I heard about Coats and Todd, they took my case right away, and I didn t have to do anything. Mrs. Coats took the bull by the horns and I was finally approved for disability. This has change my life and for once in about 3 years, I was able to smile. Thank you again Coats and Todd, and specifically Mrs. Catherine Coats.
Coats and Todd worked very hard for me and my family. I am not one to sit around and complain about my health. I told them my health problems and they were able to convey that information to the people that made the decision to allow my disability claim. I can and have recommended them to others. Thank You Coats and Todd
Would not even talk to me! I've been unable to use my arm for over a year and every job I do will require use of my right arm! I can't even sit comfortably. The pain at this point is often unbearable. I'm not even able to get Healthcare assistance to get the meds I need! They helped my dad but are not even interested in speaking with me!
Edit: I went through the process on my own and was approved at my first hearing. When you truly need it the judge can see it. There obviously was not enough money to be made on this case.
This was my one and only experience with the disability process and it was tolerable only because of Coates & Todd. I ALWAYS knew what was going on from Day one, my questions were answered when I had them, and most of the time they were answered before I even had to ask them. This is a professional group of people who know the process. Even after my approval, the communication continues. From top to bottom, this is the firm you want handling your case. Thank you, Coates & Todd for everything and helping me to begin to get my life back together again.
Catherine is a awesome lady. She handle my case like the professional lady she is. She kept me calm and that's saying alot. Highly recommended. This takes time so be patient. The whole firm is fantastic!!! Thanks for ALL you all have done for me.
I am 60 years old and was forced out of my job due to my chronic illness. Although I physically "look fine" I knew there was no way anyone else would hire me due to the multiple monthly medical appointments I needed to attend. I was told by a retired social security disability professional that Catherine Coats and Robert Todd are one of the best in the field and I could not agree more. They made sure the social security administration had every medical detail needed to processes my claim swiftly and successfully. It's difficult enough after working 20 years for a company and suddenly being told that you're no longer good enough for them, and I very much appreciate you and your staff for your compassion and professionalism during every step of the proceedings. You made this journey as painless as possible. Thank you!
They filed my case late it's been over a year waiting to see a judge now I've had to take a job I can't perform and to top it off they call me and someone tells me I haven't been to the doctor. Been atdoctor every 3 months lost 40 pounds in this year plus I'm full blown aids bi popolar with psychotic eposids and dont let me leave out hep.c so if you want help this is not the best law firm to go with. And before I leave you they called and asked me to get my records and doctor statements but I bet if I was to keep them as my attorney they would have there hand out for there 25 or30 percent when I win.
I worked with the team at Coats & Todd for my relatives' cases on both bankruptcy and disability cases, and I have to say the team is incredible. They are very professional and supportive. Both cases went through without any setbacks. Very satisfied with the work they have performed.
Everyone at Coats & Todd is very caring, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They kept me updated on my case as well as letting me know what to expect with my case and hearing. Catherine Coats is very warm and caring with a lot of expertise in disability cases and hearings. I received a favorable judgment at my hearing and I will receive 2 years back pay thanks to Catherine and her staff. I highly recommend this law firm. Thank you Coats & Todd!
After a frustrating denial I contacted Coats and Todd. I worked with Kitri and Katie from beginning to end. They handled my case with expertise and efficiency. They handled me and the furry of questions I bombarded them with on a daily basis with kid gloves while dealing with my frustrations with kindness and empathy. They made me feel like I was the only client they had and all attention was focused on my case. Without their expertise and patience I would have been a ball of stress. My attorney Jason was wonderful. He walked me through each detail of what was expected at the hearing. He was professional but personable and made me feel at ease before, during and after the hearing. He answered every question I could ask. Tony, the person handling the financial side as well as Medicare is exceptional. He explains things to me in laymen terms, making it easy to understand what is going on. His attention to detail is explicit and I felt I could trust him with everything. This firm has made me feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. I instantly felt that I could trust them; I never had any issues with the entire process. I highly recommend this firm and would personally put my reputation on the line by referring them to any one of my friends.
