I filed for disability and was turned down. I was so weary of digging up old files and researching old recollections of misery and pain, I decided to just let a competent attorney have a try at it. I saw an ad for Coats and Todd and called them up.
I never had to leave my home except to go to my Doctor appointments and then I heard from SSA, who requested I go to their Doctor.
It wasn't long after that when I received my award letter from SSA.
The whole process only took a few months and my stress level was much better just knowing that I was being represented.
I will feel better when I receive my back payments because that is how I can catch up on my property taxes, doctor bills, etc. because contrary to popular belief, when you get very sick or are suffering from something that was no fault of yours, well, you get my drift.
