Great wedding venue. The staff are professional and the food is delicious. There is one big downside, the hotel doesn't have their own parking and so you and your guests are stuck trying to find parking elsewhere.

This is one of my favourite venues in the downtown Toronto area! The lobby is a spectacle of its own! I try to request their rooms as often as possible as the service is unmatched by anywhere else.

Very Friendly first class service and elegant property! Great central location (quiet) within comfortable walking distance to Hockey Museum, Hop-on Hop-off stop #18, Eaton Center, Harborfront, Starbucks, numerous local restaurants, trolley car stop, etc. I travel quite a bit for business and pleasure and would select this hotel again when in Toronto.

A beautiful location for all kinds of things. Whether staying at this luxurious hotel, participating in some of their lovely events like high tea or simply talking a walk around the lobby; you are sure to find something remarkable.

It was very comfortable and in a great location. I don't feel like it was noticably more luxurious than most hotels aside from the lobby and the robes. The room, bathroom, and such we're very nice, modern and comfortable.

Excellent service. We were at the Omni for my elderly father's heart surgery so it was a very difficult time and the staff were amazing! They were very helpful and cheerful which was exactly what we needed.

Good location. View from the room isn't the best. Breakfast was good. A/C made noise in our room, so when complained the next morning, the receptionist removed some charges as an apology. Received further emails of apology and stating that they worked on fixing the issue. Seemed carrying.

one of my favorite places in the city to go to feel like a princess. My husband and I went here for our Mini Moon and we had a wonderful time. although I would say our room was a little chilly we finally figured out it was our own fault after we forgot to turn on the heating in the room at night time. The next day we for sure to bring it up. We had complimentary champagne on entry as part of our package for our honeymoon suite. The suite was fantastic it was large and clean as well as the wedding was very comfortable. I have to rave about the room service we had the most wonderful room service experience even though it was super late at night we'd just gotten married and we're still hungry. Most people will say why, however we knew that our wedding day was full of talking and we only got to eat a little bit! We ordered a burger and nachos as well as several little tidbits here and there we had a wonderful experience just eating it in bed. Our waiters brought the food right into a room which was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the tea time and their buffet was fantastic I've never been to such a most beautiful buffet in my whole life. The food was super fresh although you do pay for everything. $$$ but worth it.

Luxurious rooms, with high quality finishes and very comfortable beds. This lobby oozes class with a fun modern flare. Right in the heart of downtown, so it was walking distance to most attractions, bars, and restaurants!

Really superb and friendly service from every staff member we encountered. Beautiful, spacious room. Select Member program a definite asset and Royal Club lounge exceeded our expectations when we had breakfast there the morning of our departure.

Location is pretty much sitting right in St. Lawrence market area of Toronto, a ton of great bars nearby.
Visited around Christmas time, the hotel lobby had a massive Christmas tree put up, it was very beautiful. The rooms were massive and well decorated, every light had a dimmer! My only complaint would be the TV in the rooms - poor resolution - not a big deal. Didn't capitalize on the hotel restaurant/bar but I'm sure they are great.

My #1 favourite hotel in Toronto. I also work in their Sovereign ballroom, Vanity room, Crystal Ballroom decorating for weddings. I love everything about this hotel. I Will own a shoebox upstairs one day so I can come down and have my morning coffee there every day.

Room was noisy. as a conference was going on. they moved us immediately no questions asked. A person came to our room to deliver new keys. Within minutes of getting there someone calls to ask how the new room is. That's the level of service you can expect from a place like this. Building is really nice inside rooms were great!

Great chocolate afternoon tea as usual! Yearly tradition that I will continue. Staff was great as usual and attentive to our table. I cannot remember our server but he was very attentive to our chocolate lovers meetup group. Thanks King Eddy!

Grand, old hotel, good facilities and a pleasant bar. Enjoyed my stay. Concierge booked tickets for a tour to the Niagara Falls as I asked him to do this by email well before arrival. Can do attitude always makes me feel good.

Gorgeous hotel, great location, amazing friendly staff. Valet parking fee extortionist - $55 CAD (incl tax) per day. Outrageous price. But everything else was perfect at this iconic and beautiful hotel.

The Omni has met my expectations. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. The hotel is charming and the location can't be beat - a short walk from the downtown core and Dundas square but just far enough to avoid the constant noises of the city.

This is a big beautiful, classy hotel. Definitely a five-star hotel.

Here is the good and the bad:

GOOD:
Location - near the Billy Airport, near the King station on the Green Line, Near many prominent and important Toronto locations.

Lobby - Just wow. Very big, spacious and luxurious, with giant chess pieces placed in the four corners, many "kingly" decorations, large mezzanine balcony that overlooks the lobby from the four cardinal points. Wow.

Rooms - Again, Wow. The bathroom alone was larger than many hotel rooms that we have been in. The huge king-sized bed looked small in this room. Very 5-stars.

Staff - Very friendly and dedicated.

Internet - Very, very fast. And included, of course.

Elevators - Very fast! Impressive even.

Breakfast quality and service. Excellent. Delicious, with friendly staff.

BAD:
Front door : It's under construction. O.K., I get it. Things need to be repaired, especially in an old hotel. But they have the entrance covered up with plywood painted a dull grey. It looks like you are entering via the service entrance to a construction site. Hello!!!!!! Pay a couple of hundred dollars to an artist and embellish it a bit!

Concierge: We dealt with two. Very friendly, wanted to help but clueless. I was asking for the address to a major land mark (a prominent museum). He was standing there in front of his computer, but kept trying to guess the cross streets and refer me to the doorman rather than just looking it up and giving me the address. I wanted the precise address because from experience, I do not trust the Toronto taxi drivers. Earlier that day, if I had not had the precise address to my destination, I could not have corrected and assisted my clueless taxi driver. I did not want to risk finding myself with another clueless taxi driver and so wanted the precise address, but there was nothing I could do to get the clueless concierge to give it to me. He was very polite, but it was simply too frustrating dealing with him.

Shower. O.K., It's big, huge, beautiful, large enough for eight people at the same time, but when I shower, I do not want to have to play for five minutes to find out how to get the water at the right temperature. It has one of those single levers that you have to figure out that you must turn a full 360 degrees and then adjust, all the while with cold spray bounding off the walls on your cold naked body. Then, worse, when you find precisely the right temperature position, the lever won't hold in that position. It is too heavy and too loose, so it keeps shifting down to COLD, unless you turn it 180 degrees up to BOILING. Not what I consider acceptable in a 5-star hotel.

SUMMARY:
Objectively, as far as hotels in general go, this is definitely a 5-star gem.
Subjectively, from a 5-star landmark, I had a few disappointments. So my rating of 4-stars is a subjective rating compared to other hotels of its class.

Great location and staff is fantastic. We checked in at 2am after a delayed flight, and our room had the AC out. They were all booked for the night, but the following morning they moved all of our things for us while we were out (with our permission, of course) and left us some snacks as an apology. Stuff happens and they handled it very well. Would definitely return.

No comments on the rooms as well didn't stay over. But the new years Day brunch was a worthwhile splurge. Everything you could possibly want to eat. Beautiful service, gorgeous setting. You can't go wrong.
