Excellent service, very large and luxurious room, very quiet hotel at night.
I absolutely loved this hotel and our suite. We stayed here for my husband's birthday and we will be back in the future. The location is perfectly situated downtown Toronto close to shops and restaurants. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
We were in the Knightsbridge room for a professional event for a day. Great place, good atmosphere, and most importantly the coffee was good.
Great experience downtown! Classic hotel with charm! Will come again!
5-Stars 100% because of the concierge Vanessa! Every single interaction with her was thoughtful, engaging, and overall you could tell she just had a passion for what she did. Such a lovely person. We tried picking a restaurant one night on our own - didn't work out. Seriously - ONLY go to restaurants Vanessa recommends. She's the best!
Front desk - friendly and welcoming. Breakfast attendants - another bright spot of service. They made an impact even with limited time. Housekeeping - most professional and friendly I've come across. We had DND signs on every day but every single time we passed them they were extremely friendly and all engaged with us asking if we'd like service.
Beautiful hotel. Very nice room and service was quick and thorough.
I went to a social without the lounge, the staff were very professional.
Comfortable, quiet location. Close to what we wanted to do. Staff were amazing and room was a lot larger than we were expecting.
Just could not have had a better experience! Besides the beauty of the property, everyone and I mean everyone exhibited the very definition of "customer service". We caught a bargain price sale on our stay, but even if you pay the full price, this is the place to stay!
This place is as Swanky as hell. They have good drinks. The bartender was excellent.
Gorgeous rooms. Older building that my allergies did not agree with.
Great hotel the people were nice and the pressure in the shower was good. The food at the restaurant was also really good. I was impressed with each meal I tried. Their fries are also really good they have a seasoning with a little cheese. The pictures are the view from my room
Great service, amazing rooms, was a little expensive but it s well worth your money
This would be a 5-star hotel is not for a lack of bathtubs in the Edwardian Era hotel. Which I find silly.
Expect the best of everything from this property and more. They will not disappoint.
2nd or 3rd best hotel I've been to in YEARS!
First class all the way treat yourself enjoy your fruits of your labor I did...
My stay here was sponsored by the company, so I can't comment on value for money, but it's well-located, the rooms are lovely and huge, the bar is top notch, the food is good, the service is friendly, and the lobby is one of the most interestingly and luxuriously decorated I've ever set foot in. Hoping they put us up here again next conference!
Front end staff was nice and friendly however the back end were a little rude and unhelpful. Decor was nice and classic which make it great for pictures.
Convenient location. Typical upscale hotel accommodations. Great restaurant downstairs.
Smooth transition from taxi to front desk to room. Smiles all around and the staff were all very, very friendly and eager to help. Will certainly stay again, hopefully very soon. Accessibility to stores, banks, theatre and the diverse coffee shops surrounding the hotel makes one stay more enjoyable and hassle free. Our room on 10th floor was ergonomically inclined from decor to cleanliness. Loved the way the thermostat adjusted to our temperature liking in a jiffy, #sleptlikebabies. Thank you again!
The breakfast/brunch was amazing. They accommodated some vegan guests or ours by producing custom meals. Would highly recommend.
Staying at the King Eddy, a graceful polished hotel, is always a pleasure. Location, service, amenities, comfort, attention to detail, excellent food & dining options, and spa add up to a top notch experience.
If my window was any smaller if would have been a reading light.
We visited for a light lunch and had a great laid back afternoon. The staff were wonderful to us.
Great hotel. Service is exceptional! Top notch stay.
Wonderful grand hotel. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
My parents visited me from Germany and stayed recently for 10days at the Omni King Edward Hotel. My mother has a dust allergy and the dusting wasn't properly done or not everywhere done. I complained to the service desk, because my parents English isn't very good. The dusting improved but still not as it is supposed to be. Two days later when we entered my parents suite, the housekeeper adressed her dissatisfaction with our complain. She started arguing and mentioning that she wasn't always responsible for the housekeeping. We understand that the air-conditioning blows dust through the vent, but not that much within 1day.We felt very uncomfortable that my father had to leave the room. In no circumstances and especially in this kind of establishment you don't argue with your guest, when customer service should be your highest priority. So I went for the second time to complain. No one from the hotel staff ever followed up with us even after the second complain, otherwise we wouldn't have had that debacle. When my parents checked out, the receptionist didn't even asked how they liked their stay or if they were satisfied with everything. Very disappointing and the last time for my family to book with King Edward Hotel.
What a great experience at the King Edward. Beautiful room, although no "view" but we weren't there for trhe view. Great downtown location with many great restaurants within walking distance.
A long time fan of the Sunday brunch, but when I recently called to make reservations, the consierge informed me they were completely booked and abruptly hung up the phone. I have never been treated so rudely by the Omni King Edward staff before and was shocked and disappointed by this interaction.
Absolutely Amazing! From the moment we checked in to the last second we left, just superb. We were upgraded to a lovely suite upon check in and it was spectacular. Huge room with the world's most comfortable bed. We had chocolate dipped strawberries upon arrival - talk about awesome. We used the spa for a couple's massage, and if your looking for one of the best massages in Toronto, you Must check out the spa at the King Edward's.
The receptionist was very kind in letting us know about a special drinks and app promo...$60 for two and you get unlimited top shelf drinks and delicious apps followed by a breakfast in the morning- how can you go wrong?
I've stayed at my fair share of hotels in Toronto, but the King Edward's is in a league of its own.
The food, music, service and ambience at Sunday brunch were absolutely fantastic!
I am there now so far the hotel is very nice good staff
Obviously, higher end. Wonderful ambience and service.
Very comfortable, clean rooms and luxurious bathrooms.. staff is very helpful too!
The location is walkable to all major office towers in the core, but it is on the east edge of downtown which is also perfect to be able to walk to locations like the saint Lawrence market. Excellent front desk and concierge staff.
Had afternoon tea here! Definitely a super upscale place. The tea selection was fantastic and we had plenty of fun smelling all of the different teas before deciding on the Oolong Creme and Chocolate Truffle, both of which were delicious. We opted for the traditional tea experience, which was absolutely delicious and definitely more filling than I thought it would be. The scones were gorgeous, and the jam and cream were amazing. The only things that were not really that good was the chocolate tartlet, which was far too dry, and the summer berry pudding, which was too watery. Otherwise, an excellent experience I'd love to do again.
Phenomenal hotel. I can't say enough. Everything is perfect, as usual.
Great location, food and service! We're having our wedding there December 31st and looking forward to a great time!!!
Rooms were really nice, staff were very attentive. Restaurant was quite pricey but delicious.
Elegant hotel in downtown Toronto - we had some meetings here before and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Also the Sunday Bruch is wonderful - you should definitely check it out.
I enjoy the consort bar, especially as it is a quiet space. I do wish the staff would give us a smile once in awhile?
I was originally put in a room in the 2nd floor. I have a mould allergy and broke out in a rash due to the very obvious presence of mould. I asked to be moved, and they did move me but offered me some trail mix as an apology. I m sorry the rash on my face and neck is worth more than frail mix. The new room was good, no mould, thank goodness. If you are looking for a Russian roulette game of where is the mould, stay here.
Very classy hotel. The atmosphere and the staff make it very welcoming.
Went for Christmas Eve dinner. The hotel and staff were lovely and the food was quite good, but the price is definitely steep for what you get. They were quite stingy with the cut meats stations (tiny single slices) and I was really surprised that they didn't have mashed potatoes and a few of the more traditional holiday fares. The desserts also looked like a few of them came straight from the supermarket. While it was quite nice, it wasn't enough given the price. I probably won't return.
Love a high tea, not gonna lie. And this one was pretty good, food was.decent but overall worth it for the ambiance and experience. Great tea selection. Service was fantastic.
Good, classy hotel. Hard to find parking around though.
A group of four of us went for high tea in the hotel dining room. The service was top notch and professional and all the food was what I'd expect of the most high end tea rooms in England. An excellent experience.
We really enjoyed staying at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto. The location is brilliant and the welcoming and helpful staff are happy to arrange tours and taxis. It's a beautiful building and the room was huge and very well appointed. The hotel has two excellent restaurants and breakfast is a fabulous experience.
Best place for a cocktail or a glass of wine to unwind before home time
There is no free wifi at the room. Ridiculous. It's 21 century and a lot of people sit in a lobby for free wifi. Such a shame for such a beautiful hotel.
Discriminate against dog owners??
Booked 2 rooms, one for my wife and I (and our dog - Boston Terrier) and agreed to the extra $50 per night for the 'deep clean' charge we would have to pay as a result for having a dog.
Second room was for our 18 year old daughter, same rate - meant to be the same room type.
Wow - my daughters room was at least 50% larger and far nicer!
Bring a dog - expect an inferior room.
I can only assume that it must be down to being less space = less to 'deep clean' .
A wonderful place to stay! The staff are amazing and the rooms are incredible! When I booked the hotel room they asked why we were coming to Toronto, I said it was for our anniversary. That night we were brought an anniversary dessert (so sweet) I highly recommend the Omni King Edward!!!
Attended a beautiful wedding. Food, decor, and service, were all fantastic.
Excellent hotel with great service, friendly staff and great breakfast buffet.
Yet another perfect stay at the King Eddie, our home away from home. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel.
I have been staying here regularly since 2007. Owners change but the best members of the team on the ground have not. Excellent!
Easy location, right next to the metro station. Staff very attentive.
Great atmosphere, beautiful tree in the lobby during Christmas time. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.
