It's said that the Kennedy Center is the nation's center for the arts. Even though most would say Broadway is, the Kennedy Center certainly rivals the best. Here's why:

-All the top shows come to the Kennedy Center from musicals to concerts.
-The building itself is beautiful! It's right on the Potomac River and at night is breathtaking.
-They offer daily free shows at the Millennial Stage.
-The rooftop is amazing and free to explore. There's a restaurant inside (That has a great Easter brunch I hear), but no need to spend money on expensive food. Just enjoy the views of the city as you walk along the rooftop.

Very grand venue - obviously a DC icon. Getting away from there at the end of the night can be a little challenging. Sit out on the terrace and have a couple of drinks before you show, and enjoy the view across the Potomac.

The Kennedy Center is always a wonderful concert experience! This time we had box seats over the orchestra and that was really great! We also attended the pre-concert talk, which we love to do when traffic lets us get there in time! We did park at the KC this time, but the Watergate next door has much better rates and is an easy walk.

The Center is very nice and has some art installed theoughout. Took one of the free tours and had a good experience. Got to enter the Opera, the Eisenhower theatre and the Terrace theater as part of the tour. The outside terrace has some good views of the sorrounding area.

once the dust settles this will continue to be a high Mark in Washington culture. We saw Hamilton here, and while the traveling company isn't as good as the original cast, musical was still amazing. The area around the Kennedy Center, however, is a mess and will continue until 2019, when the construction is finished.

Love it!

So many wonderful cultural experiences here, waiting to be shared. The structure is a monument in and of itself. Recent personal faves are the musical, "On Your Feet," and concert by Lynda Carter and her band. Fantastic!

Visit the Kennedy Centwr to see one of the most SPECTACULAR Broadway Musicals ever Aladdin, what a riveting experience. For a first time visitor the center was gorgeous, services and concierge was courteous and professional. What a wonderful night shared with my family! Thank you.

Great facility. My sister told me we should just eat there at the Cafe. I cobbled together some food and drink amongst the mayhem, then paid upwards of $50 just for myself. The other 3 of the party also fended for themselves on a self service meal. There is a restaurant available also, but I don't know how it would compare. We were lucky to get seats in the main part of the Cafe 2 hours before the excellent symphony performance.

There isn't a place on earth that'll give you the same theater experience like the John F. Kennedy Center. I am overly excited about the new renovations and recommend anyone who love the arts or remotely interested in the arts to visit this amazing center at least once in their lifetime.

Okay, Kennedy Center. Time to clean up your act. Yes, love the free concerts...when I can afford the parking to see one, that is. And the art is cool. But...the last time I visited, there were these kind of cheap looking wooden benches on the terrace and some other debris that wasn't a good look for our nation's capital. The K.C. Cafe got my business twice. Let's cut to the chase: it's a rip off. You get cold, overcooked, bland food that costs a fortune. I was so embarrassed that maybe all the foreign tourists there might have believed that's just what American food tastes like. Nobody earning a middle class income could afford to feed their family there and that's just wrong for a government institution. Also the place should look better maintained considering your top earning employees make six figures and close to it and they are all in charge of keeping the place up. And can we talk about ticket prices? This a government entity. Ballet tickets are like $100. How is that equitable? The director of fundraising makes $500K. The CEO makes more than a million dollars a year. They then will publicize how a fundraiser at the Four Seasons raised $150,000. That's chump change compared to the earnings of these two people. Then they have the gall to charge working class people $20 for parking and $4 for a bottle of Pure Leaf tea? That's a 400% markup on the retail price. I guess they have to charge that to pay these salaries but you know what? We pay taxes so the Kennedy Center exists. I'm not making a million dollars a year, are you? We ought to be able to afford to see a ticketed performance. There are people who work there who can't afford tickets.

Shear Madness Review:

Shear Madness Review:
Upon entering the Kennedy Center, the smell of rotting flesh immediately hit me. In the concert hall, I was exposed to fifteen minutes straight of stage setting while Careless Whisper played in the background. It then became clear to me that the origin of the smell was the secret chamber in the closet. I saw the bodies of all of the Isabelles. It turns out they hire a new actor every show. In the closet I saw such victims as Nancy Pelosi, Sarah Palin and Carly Fiorina. Although you may think that all of these victims are alive, it turns out they have all been replaced by shape shifting reptillians from the Draco constellation. After careless whisper faded out, audience members then endure an hour of jokes about Donald Trump's meager hands. Occasionally, dabs and adult content are sprinkled in like salt over french fries. An interesting part is the audience participation. However, due to raicial bias it is very common for the audience to expect ze black peepul to be guilty. In order to appear unbiased, they do not convict ze blacks or ze weeaboo. This leaves the two whites. These two roles can both be guilty and change parts frequently. During the intermission, ze weeaboo was bombarded with questions about Cory in the House, the best anime of all time. The final hour of the show is spent answering questions. Many questions went unanswered, as they refused to take a side on the 9/11 debate. Btw there should not even be a 9/11 debate...thermite was found at ground zero and that is that. Thus one can conclude that Bush did 9/11. After the show, the actors survey those walking out of the theater and choose their next victim. Sadly, they chose my best friend, Osama to be the next victim. Apparently another man, named Adolf, was also taken. I will have to see which one is chosen to star and who is the understudy. Based on this evidence, one could conclude that memes are dank and so is racial bias. I do not support the views and racism of this play.

Everyone should watch a show here at some point. The cafeteria here is a little expensive but it is good food. The whole building inside and out is beautiful. It has a really nice, old, authentic feel in the auditorium.

Beautiful place for performing Arts. Once in a weekend (probably Wednesday ) there's a free cultural show open for all. The interiors are beautiful. Spacious lobby and very good sound system. They also open a Coffee Corner.
